Jian Yu felt that he had become extremely busy.

She had to go to Snape's office for detention, burn incense for the ghosts, make potions in the bathroom, and occasionally deal with the Weasley twins who suddenly appeared...

She didn't even have time to make an overall plan for dropping out of the second grade.

The only good thing that happened during this period was that after the week's detention was over, Professor Snape informed her that she no longer needed to drink the soul stabilizer.

That day, after class, she was walking alone in the corridor when she ran into Nick who was almost headless.

"I figured you'd be here, Jade."

Maintaining a good relationship with the ghosts allowed her to learn many ancient spells and secrets, but the consequence was that she often received complaints from the ghosts regardless of place and time.

As expected, Nearly Headless Nick started to babble about how Sir Patrick rejected him from joining the Headless Hunter Team, saying things like "just half an inch short" and "not neat enough", until he got to the point at the end.

"This All Hallows' Eve will be the 500th anniversary of my death."

"I would be honored if you could participate and help me use that oriental secret technique."

People celebrate birthdays and ghosts celebrate their deaths, this makes sense, Jian Yu thought.

Nick looked at her anxiously, and when she didn't respond, he continued:

"Perhaps you would rather attend the school party? Yes, the students will dress up as vampire skeletons and parade around, dance, and ask for candy everywhere, which is more attractive to wizards of your age..."

Do you have to dress up as a vampire? Do you have to dance? Do you have to ask for candy?

In her mind, she imagined a scene where a bunch of vampires came dancing and asked her for candy.

Very unkind to her eyes!

"I'll come," she said without hesitation.

Nearly Headless Nick happily flew around in the air twice.

......

On Halloween Eve, she was carrying several bundles of sandalwood and heading toward the basement classroom. She turned a corner and saw Nearly Headless Nick standing in a doorway, covered in a black velvet curtain.

Seeing Jian Yu coming, he breathed a sigh of relief and spoke in a tone of sadness and excitement:

"My dear friend... Welcome... Your presence is more important than any ghost here."

He took off his hat with feathers on it, bowed to Jian Yu, and led her inside.

The underground classroom was filled with hundreds of milky white translucent ghosts, who were wandering in the air. The band played violins on the stage, and the sound was comparable to sawing wood. The long table was filled with normal food, the same as what the students in the auditorium ate, but it was obvious that the ghosts could not eat them, so they complained.

"Silence!" Nick shouted to the band.

"A living person?" The invited guests began to whisper.

The music stopped and all the ghosts looked in Jian Yu's direction.

Nick, who was almost headless, puffed out his chest and spoke in a boastful tone:

"Miss Jane is here, everyone please make way!"

The natives of Hogwarts immediately cheered.

The fat monk finally squeezed out from the group of ghosts and greeted her with a smile:

"Good boy, it's great that you came."

The Bloody Baron nodded at her with his hollow eyes; Peeves ran around in the air, set off a few fireworks, and streamers fell from the sky. He shouted, "Miss Jane! Miss Jane!"; even Myrtle stopped crying and looked in the direction of Jane Yu shyly.

The guests were all very surprised. The wailing widow stepped forward and asked:

"Nick, why are you guys so excited?"

Hearing the question, Nearly Headless Nick straightened his chest even more and said mysteriously:

"You'll find out later."

As a ghost, curiosity is not as strong as that of a human. Seeing that no answer was given, the band resumed sawing wood; the guests returned to their previous appearance, they quickly passed through the middle of the table with their mouths wide open, so as to simulate the feeling of eating food in life.

The ghosts began to complain again:

"Nick, nothing is moldy or rotten, and there's no smell at all!"

Nearly Headless Nick, with his beard raised in anger, shouted back that they were ignorant and could not tolerate fine grains.

But at this time the band stopped playing again, and a hunting horn suddenly sounded.

Suddenly, twelve ghost horses ran out of the wall, each with a headless rider. The big ghost in the lead raised his head high, causing the ghosts to laugh.

He gave a wild, gruff laugh and wondered aloud if Nick's head was still hanging there.

Nick looked very unhappy and said stiffly, "Welcome, Patrick."

Soon Sir Patrick and the other members of the Headless Hunters were playing a game of head hockey, which made all the ghosts laugh, and no one cared that Nick, the protagonist of this Deathday party, was still giving a speech.

Nick, who was almost headless, looked even worse, and he looked at Jian Yu for help.

"Excuse me, please make way——"

Jian Yu carefully squeezed onto the stage among the ghosts and began to insert sandalwood branches into a row of crucibles filled with sand.

As the branches were lit, a thick, calming sandalwood scent gradually filled the basement classroom.

“What’s that smell?”

The ghosts stopped laughing and talking, and crowded onto the stage one after another, trying to get closer to the source of the smell.

The ghosts and ghost horses of the Headless Hunter Team all stopped moving. They could no longer control the horses under them as they threw off the ghosts on their backs and rushed onto the stage, knocking away the ghosts surrounding the crucible and trying to rub Jian Yu with the mane on their necks - but they failed because their bodies were too cold, causing her to pull her hands back suddenly.

The team members called for their horses in panic, but when they smelled the aroma, they couldn't help but collapse, twisting and rubbing against the platform like a cat that smelled catnip, and they didn't even feel anything when they were kicked several times by their own horses.

All the ghosts calmed down, some collapsed on the ground, some sat cross-legged, sniffing the scent of sandalwood hungrily like gluttons.

Nearly Headless Nick spoke proudly: "This is the gift I prepared for everyone--"

Before he finished speaking, he sat down uncontrollably and began to take deep breaths.

The fat monk woke up among a group of intoxicated ghosts. As a ghost who had been worshipped for several weeks, his ability to maintain self-control was much better than that of the foreign guests.

Finding that the other ghosts were still addicted to the aroma, he quickly moved his round body and came to the long table. Some of the delicacies on the table had turned silvery white.

He didn't care about the knife and fork on the plate, but picked up a roast chicken and took a big bite, not caring about the grease that stained his face and the cuffs of his clothes. Before the other ghosts could react, the chicken was only a skeleton.

When he tried to get the second chicken, his wrist was grabbed violently.

It was Bloody Baron and Nearly Headless Nick!

They showed him the same hideous smile again!

As the food on the long table gradually turned silvery white and the aroma began to waft around, the ghosts that were originally slumped in their seats woke up, rushed to the table, and began to frantically grab the steaks, toast, pizza and other foods inside.

For a moment, heads and limbs were flying everywhere, and the Headless Hunter Team became the target of everyone's attack because of their greed - they had steaks in their heads and pizza in their hands!

In just a few seconds, the plate was gone.

But there are still many unsatisfied ghosts who hold the plate and lick the residual grease on it. They wish they could stuff the plate into their stomachs.

The Wailing Widow sucked her fingers and began to discuss with Nearly Headless Nick the possibility of moving from Kent to Hogwarts.

Sir Patrick Podmore personally wrote an invitation letter on the spot, inviting him to become a special member of the Headless Hunter Team.

"The rules can be changed, and outstanding ghosts will always have privileges." He deliberately lowered his rough voice.

When it comes to privilege, Nick's arrogance has been fully demonstrated.

"No, that's not necessary, Patrick." He raised his head and stood next to Jane. "I would rather stand with my real friend Miss Jane than join the team. We have our own burning branches entertainment at Hogwarts!"
