HP: I just wanted to drop out of school, but I saved the world
Chapter 3: Not following school rules
Slytherin prefect Gemma Farley is so anxious!
This was her first time leading new students to Slytherin.
Everything went smoothly at the beginning. Most of these freshmen had good family backgrounds and good upbringing. They walked gracefully and formed neat formations. There were children from the famous wizarding family, the Malfoy family, as well as the Nott family, the Parkinson family... They were all very prestigious in the wizarding world.
As long as she can successfully complete the task of guiding the freshmen and establish a good image among them, she believes that her prestige as a prefect can convince more people. After graduation, this friendship may allow her to get along better in the magic world.
She led the freshmen to the hidden entrance of the dungeon, proudly told them that the lounge was at the bottom of the lake, and said the password "Pure Blood". Looking at the freshmen's expressions of yearning and respect, she felt a little flattered.
But all this was ruined during the head count!
Such a neat and tidy team, but one person is missing!
She counted it twice again in disbelief...and sure enough, there was indeed one freshman missing!
The "Welcome Speech by the Slytherin Prefect" that she had prepared was completely useless. She had originally written it on a full twelve inches of parchment, comparable to an essay, and she had memorized it by heart before today, and was waiting to give the speech after everyone was gathered - but all of this was ruined!
She quickly asked the deputy head teacher to arrange for the freshmen to enter the dormitory, and she slipped out of the lounge door, trying to find the missing freshman.
Please don’t get lost, I don’t want to be the class monitor who is fired on the first day of school!
Gemma was devastated.
The corridors, stairs and auditorium were empty, not a single person was seen.
She had no choice but to rush to the office of Professor Snape, the head of the school.
"Come in!"
Even though he was the dean of her own house, Professor Snape's reputation still made Gemma feel nervous.
She quickly reported a missing freshman.
......
Severus Snape could never have imagined that such an incredible thing would happen in his college!
Staying out at night on the first day of school doesn't look like a Slytherin at all. Even those stupid lions wouldn't do such a thing that disrespects school rules!
His face was gloomy, and he looked particularly depressed in his black robe:
"Ms. Farley, I assume you still know your position as prefect. You should keep an eye on these freshmen and tell them not to run around."
Gemma lowered her head in shame: "I'm sorry, Dean, I'll go now..."
"Go back to the lounge." A cold voice sounded above her head.
Knowing the dean's character well, she breathed a sigh of relief and was finally relieved to know that the matter was taken over by Professor Snape.
Snape had to stop the potion he was brewing, and the bad thoughts in his mind about the Potter kids' schooling were interrupted by this sudden incident.
The mixed feelings of pain, disgust and guilt were swept away, and he strode out and began to search the castle.
When he arrived at the auditorium, a golden and red phoenix suddenly appeared in front of him.
"Severus, please come to the restricted area of the fourth floor corridor."
"Call the gods to protect you!"
He impatiently summoned the silvery doe, which landed on the auditorium floor.
"A new student is missing in Slytherin, and I don't have time to play treasure hunt with you." The deep and hoarse voice sounded.
The doe bounded across the house and out the window.
......
But Dumbledore on the other side had already changed into pajamas and lay on the bed, ready to fall asleep.
It’s easy to get tired when you get older, so eat some candy before going to bed to replenish your brain.
He put a Honey Fizz candy in his mouth and drank a bottle of Tooth Protection Potion to neutralize each other.
However, when he was about to fall asleep, he felt that the magic circle in the secret room on the fourth floor was triggered.
A thief stole the Philosopher's Stone!
He sat up in bed instantly, twisting his old waist and making a sharp popping sound.
This timing was completely different from what he expected!
Harry was supposed to slowly discover the secret of the Mirror of Erised during this school year, and then put the mirror in the Chamber of Secrets as a hiding place for the Philosopher's Stone.
Play the long game to hook the big fish, thereby luring the mastermind behind the scenes to reveal his true colors.
But he never expected that someone would take action on the first day of school!
Without even having time to change into his pajamas, he grabbed his wand and rushed straight to the fourth floor, asking Fawkes to call his right-hand man, Severus Snape.
However, the patron saint brought him another unfortunate message.
This made his heart sink. He was afraid that the messenger behind the scenes had already attacked the freshmen and taken them hostage!
"Please come immediately. The magic stone circle has been triggered and the new student should be inside." He replied immediately.
Soon, Snape appeared in front of him with a fierce look and a black robe flowing.
"You'd better give me a reasonable explanation. A new student...just one day into school...she doesn't know anything yet and hasn't even learned a spell!"
Dumbledore smiled bitterly, his white beard moving slightly:
"I'm sorry... he was so quick."
The two opened the first gate of the restricted area, but found something wrong.
"Severus... do you smell a sweet scent?" Dumbledore cast a stunning spell on the three-headed dog and sniffed the air curiously.
"I think your brain is covered with sugar, so you think the air is sweet." Snape said through gritted teeth, "It does smell like meat, like steak for dinner."
They all became serious, because in Fluffy's mouth was a piece of Slytherin school uniform.
"How dare it!"
Snape's hand, which was tightly holding the wand, began to tremble, and he looked like he wanted to give the three-headed dog an Avatar. His intuition told him that Jane had been killed.
"Calm down, Severus."
Dumbledore's blue eyes were sharp behind his half-moon glasses. "No blood, just the coat."
Snape managed to regain his composure, and they looked at the trapdoor, which was indeed open.
"Fluorescence."
The two men slid down the trapdoor one after the other, expecting to be caught by the devil's snare.
“Bang!”, “Ouch!”
They fell into a heap.
Fortunately, Snape realized something was wrong at the last second and immediately used a levitation spell to slow down the impact.
But falling from this height, he was sure that his leg bones would be broken!
Dumbledore at the side was not much better, he held his waist and groaned. His twisted waist was hit hard again, and it felt like it was about to break in two!
They helped each other to get up and used illumination spells to explore the surroundings.
"The ashes of the Devil's Snare." Snape picked up a little powder, rubbed it in his palm, and sniffed it with the tip of his nose. "It is a kind of poison. It completely corrodes them."
"What venom?" Dumbledore asked quietly.
"I'm not sure, but it should be very toxic." Snape took out a few potion bottles from his robes, filled them with some powder, and looked at the remaining ashes with a regretful look.
"There are some new Aconitum plants here." He pinched off another piece and put it in the vial.
Limping, the two continued to walk inside.
"Filius's checkpoint." Dumbledore checked the door lock. "Strange, there are no signs of external damage, the bird key has not disappeared, and there is no magical fluctuation of the unlocking spell... How did the door get opened?"
He was very confused, and his eyebrows and broken nose were twisted together.
The mysteries are mounting.
"Minerva's chessboard... the black pieces are all broken. How did the intruder escape?"
Then he saw purple flames at the door.
"It seems that our uninvited guest has not left yet." He waved his wand and the flames disappeared without a trace.
Snape walked over to the table and examined the seven bottles of potions he had placed there. The caps were all open, and three of them were empty.
"This is a damn drunkard!" He cursed fiercely, as if thinking of something disgusting in his memory, "The nettle wine is all gone, and there is also the bottle of forward potion."
An alcoholic... carrying a mysterious poison... having an unpredictable way of opening doors, as far as Dumbledore could remember, he had never encountered such a wizard.
He gripped his wand tightly, ready to subdue his enemy the moment he entered the Chamber of Secrets, just as he had done for so many years - a Binding Spell plus a Petrifying Spell, simple and easy.
"Quickly imprison all the stones... jade and Jian?"
The poor old principal was so stunned that he almost fainted.
The secret room was filled with the smell of alcohol, and there was only a girl sleeping on the ground with the Philosopher's Stone in her hand!
