HP: White Lord of Slytherin
Chapter 99 Game 1
The weather was still bad on Saturday, with heavy rain and wind. Everyone went to the court with umbrellas, but the umbrellas were of little use.
As usual, everyone had to brave the wind and rain to watch the game, but this year was different. The originally open-air spectator seats were all installed with transparent, rain-proof covers that block the wind and rain, and also provide insulation when the weather is hot. All of this was Gloria's work.
Entering the viewing area, it suddenly felt less cold. Gloria took off Draco's robe and said, "Put it on. I'll blow dry it for you."
The boy shook his slightly wet blond hair, and the next moment a warm breeze enveloped his whole body, and the wet parts quickly dried.
"Lori, they should thank you, otherwise they would have to watch the game in the rain."
"No matter how heavy the rain is, it can't extinguish the enthusiasm for watching the game." Gloria touched his clothes to make sure they were dry, "right?"
The two held hands and walked to the Slytherin viewing area. The wind and rain outside did not affect the inside at all. Everyone pointed at the lawn excitedly.
"If Gloria hadn't remodeled the spectator seats, I wouldn't have come today," said Zabini, who was standing next to them.
Daphne continued, "Yes, the weather was bad before, and the spectator seats were filled with broken umbrellas."
Pansy is now similar to Theodore. She rarely speaks in front of Gloria and just listens to their conversation silently.
Gloria's eyes fell on the lawn. The players hadn't appeared yet. "This is what a school director should do. When will they come out?"
The spectator seats have a perfect view of what's happening outside, and the other spectator seats are noisy.
"It's almost eleven o'clock." Draco looked at the time and it was only about a minute away.
Soon, a team of bright red and a team of green appeared on the grass. The wind outside was so strong that many players raised their hands to cover their faces.
The rain wet Harry's glasses and he couldn't see clearly what was in front of him.
"Can we really compete like this?" Gloria asked, watching them sway from side to side as they walked.
Draco shrugged, "Of course I can, but I don't know how long it will take for the game to end."
Crabbe patted his school robe pockets, "Luckily I brought plenty of snacks."
The players of both teams finally flew into the sky, wiping the rain off their faces as they flew.
Gloria saw Harry running around aimlessly in the air, narrowly avoiding the Bludgers several times and almost colliding head-on with a Slytherin player once, causing exclamations from the spectators.
The Slytherins were on guard against Harry, racing around him.
"Are all Slytherin players slime worms? They always stick to Harry, but Harry is not a cabbage!" Commentator Jordan didn't want to talk about the situation on the court and just made a few complaints.
"Jordan! Explain it well!" Professor McGonagall's voice came from the microphone.
The Slytherin team took advantage of Harry's failure to find the Golden Snitch and attacked the Gryffindor goal together.
After a while, Jordan couldn't help it again, "Look at those players in green clothes. They are like venomous snakes that suddenly jumped out, but don't worry, Harry speaks Parseltongue..."
"Jordan!" Professor McGonagall sounded a little angry.
Gloria was amazed. Draco said disdainfully, "Gryffindors are always so rude."
Wood defended well, but the score still came to Slytherin 80 to Gryffindor 30, and Gryffindor requested a timeout to adjust the game.
"It looks like the match will take a long time. As long as we have 150 points more than them, it will be useless even if Potter catches the Golden Snitch." Draco is optimistic about the current situation of the game.
"That's possible." Gloria noticed that Harry was not in good condition, and it was obvious that the weather had a great impact on him.
Off the field -
The Dementors guarding around the school are ready to make a move.
After leaving Azkaban, there were no prisoners for them to absorb happiness. The Dementors had been "hungry" for a long time, and the abundant enthusiasm and happiness in the stadium deeply attracted them.
Some Dementors couldn't help but float towards the stadium, but before they got close, a huge black snake suddenly appeared and swallowed the first few Dementors into its belly. Red eyes flashed, and all the Dementors screamed silently, and their bodies covered with tattered black cloaks twitched like a broken cat.
The abyss of pain ended, and the Dementors turned and fled, never daring to approach the stadium again.
Gloria had a premonition that with so many people gathered at the stadium, it would definitely attract Dementors. When the school started, the Dementors had just been released from Azkaban, and they couldn't help but stop cars to suck away the students' happiness. They would definitely not miss the match day.
For this reason, Apophis was asked to guard in advance, and sure enough, this group of things appeared.
The game started again, and this time Harry's condition was obviously better, and it seemed that his vision was no longer affected.
There was a flash of lightning in the dark cloudy sky, followed by a loud thunder, just like the intense game on the field.
Harry found the Golden Snitch and pushed and jostle with the Slytherin Seeker. The field became tense. The other Slytherin players rushed to score goals, but Wood was not easy to deal with.
The Bludgers kept hitting Harry in the area, trying to knock him off his broom.
When Slytherin was 130 ahead of Gryffindor by 50, Harry caught the Golden Snitch. The Gryffindor stands cheered loudly, and Draco slammed the fence.
"This is only the first game, we still have many chances." Gloria took his arm.
The boy pursed his lips, "It would be nice if I could knock Potter off his broom like I did last year."
The people around began to disperse, and the students in the Slytherin spectator seats were all in a bad mood.
As soon as they reached the entrance of the stadium, Gloria heard what Apophis said and immediately grabbed Draco's arm, "I have to go to the principal's office. The Dementors were moving around a little bit."
He looked around and didn't see any Dementors. "What happened to them?"
"They were attracted by the crowd at the stadium and wanted to come here to take some happiness." Gloria said: "Apophis blocked them. We have to tell the principal. He doesn't know yet."
Draco handed her the umbrella. The rain had eased a little now. "Come back soon."
·
The weather was already dark. Gloria came to the castle corridor and reached out to take Apophis, who was standing by the window, back into her school robe pocket. "What's going on?"
"The Dementors were attracted by your fresh and happy classmates and were ready to have a feast. I ate a few and tortured them, then retreated." Apophis spit out his snake tongue, "Not enough happiness, and the taste is not as good as before."
Gloria patted him through his clothes and said, "Don't say that."
Fortunately, before she reached the headmaster's office, she saw Headmaster Dumbledore, who was about to go back, talking to Professor Snape.
"Principal Dumbledore!" she called out.
"Gloria." Dumbledore paused. "What is it?"
Professor Snape saw that she had something to say and was about to leave, but Gloria stopped him, "It doesn't matter. Professor Snape needs to know too."
They both stopped and waited for her to speak.
"The Dementors guarding the school need to be carefully watched." Gloria said, "After the incident last time they stopped the train, I asked my snake to guard the surroundings today. I found that those Dementors were more attractive than the students on the court and were ready to come over, but they were blocked at that time. I hope the school will be ready for the next game."
Professor Snape wasn't sure if the snake she was talking about was the one in the Chamber of Secrets, but it was certainly something that needed attention.
Dumbledore frowned. "I see. Thank you, Gloria. Today's competition went smoothly thanks to you. Slytherin House will get 50 points. I will tell the other professors about this."
Professor Snape, whose college team had just lost the game, looked a little better now.
