HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 86: The Dementors Stopping the Car

The box was almost full, but when the Slytherin students saw Gloria, they immediately gave up their seats and went to other boxes without her even saying anything.

Draco put his arm around her as soon as he sat down, "It's our third year now, we can go on a date to Hogsmeade."

Hogwarts is not small, but it is still a school after all, and he doesn't want to meet a professor on a date.

"It doesn't matter where we go on a date." Gloria said, "By the way, I mentioned joining a club in second grade, but I wasn't talking about the Pureblood Club at the time."

Draco asked, "So what club do you want to join? I'll join you."

Gloria took out a quill and parchment from her bag and wrote a line: Slytherin Club.

"I want to create a club in the name of my family. Anyone will only have one chance to join. Joining means standing on the side of the Slytherin family. I will not join a club organized by others."

Draco understood why she had repeatedly refused to join in their second year.

"I will definitely join, and I will quit the Pureblood Club when the time comes."

There was no need to waste time on the club where Gloria was not present. Once the Slytherin Club was established, it would be questionable whether the other clubs in the academy could survive.

Around three or four in the afternoon, it rained heavily outside. The moisture brought by the rain was pervasive, blurring the mountains in the distance.

Draco sat by the window. Gloria felt sleepy after chatting for a long time and leaned on his shoulder to rest.

Many students on the express train were feeling sleepy, and the whole train became much quieter. The rain was getting heavier, the train was rattling, raindrops were hitting the glass, and the wind was howling.

This symphony of sounds has become the best lullaby.

I don’t know what time it was, but the train began to slow down. It seemed like a signal, and students’ voices were heard outside the compartment.

Gloria looked up and found it was pitch black outside. "Are we about to reach the station?"

Draco leaned over to the window and looked, frowning and saying, "No, it's still in the wild."

But the train was getting slower and slower, and after it braked completely, the two of them swayed due to inertia, and the sounds of wind and rain outside became more obvious.

Many students opened the door of the box and looked out to see what was going on. The next moment, all the lights in the car went out and it was plunged into darkness. Everyone quickly closed the door.

Gloria stood up and looked towards the window. She vaguely saw a group of floating black shadows. Apophis reminded her in the pocket of her school robe, "It's the Dementors."

She was puzzled, why did the Dementors stop the Hogwarts Express?

"What happened? Is the train broken down?" Draco held her hand tightly.

Gloria sat back down, "It's the Dementors, we just need to stay in the box."

Draco's expression could not be seen in the darkness, but his tone fully expressed his shock, "Dementors?! Aren't they guarding Azkaban? Why are they here? It's not enough for one criminal to escape, the Ministry of Magic also let them escape!"

Gloria said: "They should be sent out to hunt down fugitives, but to stop the school train..."

I guess these things are attracted by the students' happiness, and absorb a little happiness while checking them.

Suddenly the train became very cold, and everyone had a strange feeling, as if they would never be happy again.

After a while, Gloria stood up and tried to open the door, but was stopped by Draco. "Don't go out. Dementors are a group of monsters that suck away people's souls." Lucius had told him about the horror of these magical creatures.

She sat down again. "Okay, but I have to get rid of them."

"Drive away?"

Before Draco could figure out what was happening, Gloria pointed her wand at her throat and said in a loud voice, "Get out—!"

The train seemed to sway again, and in the darkness Draco called softly, "Lori."

Soon the lights in the train came on, and Gloria noticed that the boy looked very bad and his lips had lost color.

"Draco!"

Draco placed his palm on the back of her hand that was holding his cheek. "It's okay. What did you just say? I've never heard such a strange language."

Seeing that his expression was gradually relaxing, Gloria breathed a sigh of relief. "That is a language that Dementors can understand, but this matter must be kept secret. It would be bad if the Ministry of Magic knew about it."

Draco hugged her gently, "Of course I will keep it a secret for you, but those things are really disgusting."

It was even noisier outside, and the students were all discussing what had just happened.

Gloria gave Draco the snacks she had bought earlier, asking him to take a break. The boy was a little shy, but still ate them.

The train started moving again, and everything that just happened seemed like an illusion.

Suddenly there was a knock on the box door. It was Crabbe and Goyle who came. Gloria waved her hand to signal them to come in.

After not seeing them for a summer, these two bodyguards have become stronger, like two little mountains of flesh.

"Gloria, Draco, do you know what happened just now? I seemed to hear someone shouting something, but I couldn't understand it." Crabbe had a layer of cold sweat on his face as he spoke.

Gao Er's lips trembled, and the fat on his face trembled with it. "I felt so uncomfortable just now. I ate three small cakes to feel better, and then I wanted to find you."

Draco wrinkled his nose, "Then keep eating what you have in your hands."

When the two bodyguards came running over, they did not forget to bring snacks. The chocolate almost melted in their hands.

As they ate their chocolates, Crabbe licked his fingers and said, "When we got here, we heard the Gryffindor Weasley girl yell that Harry Potter had fainted."

That must be Ginny Weasley, Gloria held her forehead silently. If Draco knew about this, Harry would be laughed at.

Sure enough, when Draco heard this, color rushed to his pale face, "Really?! Hahahaha——"

Gloria leaned on his shoulder and listened as they planned how to ridicule Potter later.

Alas - it’s really lively when school starts.

The train drove for about ten minutes more before they arrived at Hogsmeade Station. The heavy rain had not stopped yet and the station was freezing cold.

Every student wrapped their school robes tightly. Owls, cats, toads and various pets were calling. The temperature difference after getting off the train was quite large. The scene was a complete chaos.

The carriage carrying the students had already stopped by the roadside, and the first-year students followed Hagrid on a boat. It was so unlucky to take a boat in such heavy rain.

Draco and Gloria quickly boarded the carriage, and Crabbe and Goyle hurriedly followed. As the carriage passed through two imposing wrought iron gates, they saw Dementors standing guard on either side.

Draco said, "I'm going to write a letter to tell my father that the Dementors actually stopped the express train. What if pure bloods like us are hurt? And now we let these monsters show up in Hogwarts!"

Gloria stared at the two Dementors and felt that she needed to find an opportunity to pass on a message to them. What happened on the train must not happen again. "The criminal has not been found yet. Harry is the biggest target. We must protect this place."

Sirius didn't have a wand, so he couldn't cast the advanced Patronus Charm.

"It's all Potter's fault!" Draco said with a sour face, "He must have some magic that makes people unlucky. Maybe he used this to defeat that man."

Crabbe and Goyle both shuddered. Even without mentioning the name, it did not alleviate their fear of that man.
