HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 69 The end of everything

Harry obviously didn't realize how dangerous this so-called memory was, and was still holding up Ginny's head.

Ginny... her face was as white as a ghost, she was almost out of breath, just a little bit away from death.

Harry asked the black-haired boy for help, but the other party just looked at him anxiously with a cold eye, fiddling with Harry's wand in his hand.

Gloria walked closer along the wall and tilted her head to read the name in the diary: Tom M. Riddle.

It was confirmed that she knew Voldemort's real name. This diary contained the residual soul of Voldemort. Judging from the memory image, he knew how to make Horcruxes and succeeded when he was very young. He was indeed a very talented wizard.

"Listen to me, there is a basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets. If it appears, we will all die here..." Harry explained anxiously.

"He won't appear without being summoned." The memory gave a strange smile.

Gloria had to admit that the young Voldemort was the most handsome man she had ever seen. Even Draco, whom she loved, could not compare to him.

Black curly hair, fair skin, deep facial features, and an indescribable temperament that makes people unconsciously convinced, of course, this does not include her.

Harry, who had not been able to figure out the situation, finally realized something was wrong. He put Ginny down first and asked, "What do you mean?" He stared at his wand in her hand and said, "Give it back to me. The basilisk may appear at any time and I need it."

Riddle's smile became even stranger, or perhaps more evil, "Harry Potter, I have waited a long time to meet you in person and talk to you."

Gloria was also curious about how things would develop next, so she simply continued to hide.

Riddle told how he controlled Ginny to launch the attack and how he framed Hagrid fifty years ago and put the blame on innocent people, but Dumbledore saw through him, so the young Voldemort created the diary Horcrux, hoping to guide another person to follow in his footsteps and complete the noble cause of Salazar Slytherin.

Gloria listened expressionlessly. Salazar's noble cause was not this. That was just the best possible scenario that Hogwarts had envisioned, which was to only recruit pure-blood wizards.

Finally, Harry asked the key question, "Why do you care about how I escape? You were a person from fifty years ago. When Voldemort did evil things, you had been dead for many years."

"Voldemort is my past, present and future!"

Riddle used his wand to write his real name in the air and rearranged it to become: I am Voldemort.

Harry's face turned pale instantly. He couldn't believe that Voldemort, who was feared by the entire wizarding world, had looked such a handsome and good student when he was young.

The two of them had a heated debate about who was the greatest wizard in the wizarding world, Dumbledore or Voldemort. Gloria was already unable to watch. Was this the point?

During the argument, ethereal, mysterious music came from the empty secret room.

The stone pillar nearest them suddenly burst into flames, and a crimson bird descended from the sky, music accompanying it, its golden claws clutching a tattered package.

The bird flew towards them and dropped the package. Harry ducked his head and reached out to catch the tattered package.

Riddle seemed frightened. He squatted down to avoid it. After making sure he was not hurt, he said viciously, "Phoenix!" It was obvious that he knew this beautiful creature.

Harry opened the package and Riddle watched silently. Gloria thought that if she had snatched the package earlier, she would not have given Harry the chance to open it.

When it was unfolded, it turned out to be a Sorting Hat. Riddle smiled smugly, "Dumbledore uses this lousy hat to help his supporters?"

Harry didn't understand what the Sorting Hat could do, but he had to buy some time. Perhaps Dumbledore was on his way. He also found that Riddle, whose outline was originally a little vague, was becoming clearer and clearer. If he did nothing, both Ginny and he would die here.

At this moment he suddenly said: "No one knows why you lost your magic power and disappeared, but I am sure that you didn't kill me because my mother protected me!" Harry became emotional, "I saw the real you last year. You were like a disgusting worm parasitizing in someone else's body, half dead and disgusting, and I drove you away!"

This successfully angered Riddle, and Gloria was ready to launch a surprise attack at any time.

"Is that so? You just managed to escape from me by sheer luck..."

He didn't do anything, just stared at Harry viciously, then walked towards the stone sculpture, and Gloria moved her position.

Riddle looked at the stone sculpture, opened his mouth and hissed. Gloria and Harry both understood what he said. It was snake language.

The mouth of the stone sculpture moved. It grew bigger and bigger, and finally formed a huge black hole. Deep inside the hole, something was sliding upwards with a rustling sound.

Harry knew the basilisk was about to come out, so he turned and ran the way he came.

"That's enough, it's time to end it all."

An ethereal female voice suddenly sounded. Harry stopped running and stared blankly at Gloria who walked out from the side.

Riddle was also surprised that there was someone else here. His attention was all on Harry and he didn't notice anything unusual.

Basilisk had completely come out of the cave. Harry heard the noise and said to her, "Gloria, we have to leave quickly. Riddle is the heir of Slytherin! I can't control that basilisk."

It is a pity that no one responded to his anxiety, either before or now.

"Of course you can't control it. You don't have Slytherin blood." Gloria ignored the dazed Harry and said to Riddle, "Tom Riddle, Slytherin's offshoot blood."

Riddle gritted his teeth as if insulted, and corrected, "I am a direct descendant of Slytherin! The Gaunt family has maintained the pure blood of Slytherin until fifty years ago."

"No, you are a bloodline of the side branch, and a half-blood at that." Gloria reached out to Basil, and hissed in a way that shocked both Harry and Riddle: "Come to me, Basil!"

The green-scaled snake monster, about fifty feet long, rushed towards her quickly. The moment it touched the outstretched hand, the size of the snake shrank visibly until it became a small snake the length of a palm and coiled in her palm.

Riddle took a few steps back, unable to believe what was happening before his eyes, "How... who are you!?"

Gloria ignored his roar, "What, do you think he will listen to you when I'm here?" She patted Harry's stiff shoulder, "Okay Harry, you can turn around, the basilisk won't look at you."

Harry forgot to move his body, and his brain quickly thought about her identity. Was she also of Slytherin blood?

No wonder she can make snakes obey her!

Riddle's face was twisted with anger. He guessed that the girl in front of him might be a hidden bloodline of Slytherin, but it didn't matter. Soon he would still be the only Slytherin heir in the world.

The handsome Riddle forced out a ferocious smile, "It doesn't matter if you don't tell me, you're all going to die here anyway!" He raised his wand and was about to take action.

Gloria raised her other hand, holding the diary. While Harry and Riddle were talking, she quietly took the diary away and handed it to Bajirisk in her palm, and ordered in Parseltongue: "Bajirisk, venom."

The little snake opened its mouth and sprayed venom onto the diary like ink.

Riddle paused and looked at his body in disbelief. Several glowing holes had appeared on his body.

As the green-scaled serpent blew out two more puffs, the diary became tattered, and Riddle's whole body burst into a strong light.

"Do not--!"

With a bang, the remnant soul of the memory exploded and disappeared, and the diary was corroded to only a thin layer left.

As Riddle's residual soul disappeared, Ginny took a deep breath and opened her eyes. Lying on the ground, she only had Harry in her eyes. "Harry, I'm sorry..."

However, Harry quickly squatted down and covered her mouth, looking at the other girl with horror.

Gloria spread her hands helplessly, "Please Harry, don't look at me like that. I'm not a bad person. I just listened to your conversation for a while. I don't mean any harm."
