HP: White Lord of Slytherin
Chapter 63 Great Discovery in the Travel Notes
Draco quickly wrote a letter to his parents, announcing that he would not go back for the Easter holidays this year.
Gloria and I looked carefully at the elective courses and finally decided on Care of Magical Creatures and Ancient Rune Studies. We were not interested in the others, but at least we had chosen two.
With their status, they don't need so many certificates, they can just inherit the family business.
In addition to replying to the letter, the Malfoys also sent some gifts, including some applesauce-filled marshmallows specially for Gloria.
The Easter holiday began at the end of March, and surprisingly the small group did not go home. Instead, they sat together in their free time as before and exchanged the information they knew.
In addition, there were activities of the Pure-Blood Club. Draco wanted Gloria to join in advance, but she refused.
It was rainy in the spring, but not as cold as before. The clear and slightly cold wind blew through every corridor of Hogwarts Castle.
Gloria parted ways with Draco and the others after lunch. The group went to the club, while she went to the library.
After staying there for more than two hours, I felt a little bored and decided to go out for a walk.
How about going to the bathroom on the second floor? Maybe the professors have patrolled there this afternoon...
With this idea in mind, she decided to go and observe the area nearby.
However, just after leaving the library, I saw Draco holding a book, walking quickly towards me. When he saw Gloria, his gray-blue eyes lit up with surprise, and he walked up to her, grabbing her and running upstairs.
He ran all the way to the astronomy tower before stopping.
Gloria panted slightly, "What's the hurry?"
Draco held the book in his arms in front of her. Gloria was confused. Wasn't this the travel book she had given him?
Seeing her puzzlement, the boy was a little incredulous, "You don't know? Haven't you seen it?"
"Yes," Gloria said, "but I only read it once. I didn't read it again and again."
"I was inside and saw an evil curse that the owner of the travel journal claimed to have invented." He said this with excitement in his eyes.
Gloria looked puzzled. "Isn't this normal? You even used the little evil spell she invented against Harry and the others."
The rooting curse made Hermione very angry.
"This is different!" Draco said, "It's the Cruciatus Curse! Lori, your ancestor is the one who invented this evil curse, Merlin -! The history of magic does not clearly record the name of the wizard who invented the Cruciatus Curse, and she is actually the ancestor of your family!"
"She invented it." Gloria nodded blankly. She thought it was some big deal, but it turned out to be just this?
But seeing Draco like this... She had forgotten that the Cruciatus Curse was written in the travel notes. She first read it when she was six years old, and with Apophis's ability, she didn't take this evil curse seriously.
Draco was too excited, as if that was not Gloria's ancestor, but his own family.
"What's her name?" the young man just remembered to ask. The travel notes recorded many things, but the owner did not write down his own name.
“Bernice.”
Gloria had previously thought that the travelogue was so thick that Draco would not be able to finish it until at least the summer vacation, and then she would tell him about Bernice. She also indeed forgot that the Cruciatus Curse was written on it.
After Draco calmed down a little, he knew that Gloria's background was definitely unusual.
"Can you tell me about her?"
One of the three unforgivable curses, whoever invented it must be very powerful.
The two walked to the railing and leaned against it. Gloria slowly told the story other than Bernice's last name. "Her name is Bernice. She has loved black magic since she was a child. In order to find a living person to verify the effect of the spell, she ran away from the manor. This is what is on the first page of the travelogue."
Draco listened carefully.
"After leaving the manor and meeting more people, she discovered that she loved to torture people. She thought that killing the opponents was too merciful and that they should be tortured in the most painful way. So she invented this evil curse and thought that casting this evil curse well was an art."
Bernice drew inspiration from Apophis, but Apophis only protected her passively and did not obey her orders, so she simply invented a curse with a similar effect on her own. In fact, she also has specific gestures for casting curses, which can allow the cursed person to stay awake as much as possible and endure the torture.
"Lori, your family must have produced many dark wizards." Draco said affirmatively.
My father said that Albert might not be Gloria's real last name. In addition, the owner of the travelogue invented such a powerful curse but did not leave his name, let alone his last name. He must be a very mysterious wizard family, a pure-blood family that is even older than the Malfoys.
But fortunately, he met Lori.
Gloria nodded and said, "Yes, there are many. If you are interested, you can go to my portrait studio during the summer vacation. There are portraits of almost all the ancestors in the past generations."
"Of course I'm interested!"
"Then make sure that the contents of this book are not seen by others." Gloria pointed at the travel notes, "Otherwise it will be very troublesome."
"I've never let anyone else touch it." Draco hugged the travel journal tightly. "Unfortunately, none of my ancestors have written such interesting travel journals. They are all collections of curses. We can exchange them when the time comes."
"Okay, I have some travel notes like this at home. I'll find some for you to read during the summer vacation."
From then on, a deeper secret arose between the two.

The holiday is over and a new Quidditch match begins, Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff. However, the day before the match, a Gryffindor dormitory was robbed.
This incident had no impact on the game. The weather was fine the next day, the best time to play Quidditch.
Harry was troubled by the secret he found in the diary, and it took him several Quidditch practice sessions before he could concentrate.
When I returned to collect my competition supplies, I just stepped onto the marble stairs and heard that voice again: "Kill... let me tear apart..."
Harry stepped back suddenly, startling Hermione and Ron, who hurried to get away from him.
"The sound appeared again!" Harry turned his head to look in the direction where the sound came from. "I heard it again. Did you hear it?"
Ron's eyes widened, frightened by Harry's behavior, "No."
Hermione slapped her forehead and said, "I should have thought of it earlier!" She turned to the two boys and said, "Harry, Ron, I suddenly figured out something and need to go to the library to check it out! I wish our college wins Quidditch in advance!"
Harry was flustered and didn't understand what Hermione meant by this. "What did she understand?"
Ron looked confused, "I don't understand anything you're talking about!"
Hermione ran all the way to the library. She should have thought of it earlier. Harry spoke Parseltongue. He might be the only one in the school with this ability. Oh... and there was also the madman who opened the Chamber of Secrets.
Then the sound that no one except Harry heard could only be a snake!
The library might have records about the basilisk. What was wrong with her? Such obvious things should have been thought of on the day Harry knew he was a Parseltongue, but his brain seemed to be stuck with the slime of the Flobberworm.
On the other side, Harry and Ron, who were confused, returned to the lounge and saw Ginny sitting on the sofa. Ron immediately smiled and said, "Ginny, why haven't you gone to the stadium to reserve a seat yet?"
But he soon found that Ginny's face looked wrong. She looked frighteningly pale, just like she had been in the past two months. Ron sat down next to her and said, "What's wrong with you? Are you feeling unwell? I'll take you to the hospital wing."
Ginny shook her head and glanced at Harry carefully. She saw that he was also looking at her with concern. Fortunately,...
She didn't want to go to the hospital wing, as she had to watch Harry's game, so she changed the subject and asked, "Where's Hermione? Has she gone to the stadium yet?"
Ron answered immediately, "She went to the library. She said she suddenly thought of something and needed to check it out. She has been looking up things about the Chamber of Secrets monster in the library recently. She read to the point of madness."
The two boys were so busy wondering why Hermione did that that they didn't notice that Ginny's face had gotten even worse.
