HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 50 Completeness and Gifts

There was a crackling sound in the long-unmanned cave. Kreacher shrank back and lowered his head. Everything that had happened here made him feel miserable.

Gloria, wearing the pendant box of the soulless creature, looked around. She couldn't see the top of the cave when she looked up, and she couldn't see the other side of the lake because it was too wide. The dead silent cave was filled with a thick darkness.

The tip of the wand emits a bright light that dispels the darkness.

Kreacher pointed to the small wooden boat next to him and said, "We'll take this boat to the island."

Gloria glanced and said nothing. The white-scaled Jörmungandr fell from her sleeve to the ground. Its body suddenly became huge, almost filling the empty cave. Kreacher stepped back and screamed in fear.

"Don't be afraid of Kreacher, this is the Slytherin snake, he listens to me."

Kreacher then covered his mouth, his legs as thin as twigs trembling. Gloria raised her legs and walked onto the huge snake's body. Kreacher asked carefully several times, and only stepped on it after getting the affirmative, squatting on the scales without moving.

The giant white snake swam easily in the lake, muttering, "Something in the lake touched me. They are all cursed corpses."

"Don't hurt them. My father is one of them."

Jörmungandr didn't say anything. He could eat dark magic curses, and these Inferi all contained edible curses.

Kreacher listened to them communicating in snake language and his respect for Gloria increased even more. They soon arrived at the island where there was a glass basin.

Jörmungandr temporarily completed his mission, shrunk in size, and returned to Gloria.

Kreacher saw the glass basin and pleaded, "Let Kreacher drink the potion, Miss Gloria take out the box."

"Need not."

After saying this, the black-scaled Apophis came out and slid into the glass basin filled with potion. The liquid in the basin disappeared within two breaths. He coiled at the bottom of the basin and spat out his snake tongue. "It tastes good, but the pain is not pure enough."

Gloria easily got the fake locket, and Kreacher was almost curled up beside her. As a magical creature, he could feel the deepest natural fear from the two snakes.

After studying the fake locket for a while, the box was twisted open and a folded paper was placed inside.

Gloria hesitated for a moment before taking it out and opening it.

[To the Dark Lord:

I know that when you read this letter, I will be dead, but I want you to know: I discovered your secret, and I have taken the real Horcrux and destroyed it as soon as possible.

I risked my life for you, but I was only a flesh-and-blood mortal when I met my opponent.

RAB

Gloria didn't know what her expression was like right now, but it must be bitter.

"Father, I will inherit your will, destroy all his Horcruxes, and let him die like a mortal."

Gloria did not destroy the transferred soul immediately. She needed to inform Headmaster Dumbledore of the existence of the Horcrux and wait until the end of the school year to cooperate with the greatest white wizard of this century.

She and the portraits all agreed that since Voldemort was so afraid of death, he must have more than one Horcrux.

Gloria folded the paper and put it back into the fake locket, and then put it back into the real locket after she had looked at the man.

He took out a picture of Regulus from his bag and said to the three snakes, "Find my father."

The three snakes remembered Regulus's appearance and dived directly into the lake. From the shore, one could see their bodies grow in size after they went down, with only shallow ripples on the surface of the lake.

Gloria simply sat down and said to Kreacher who was cowering beside her, "Sit down. Jörmungandr said there are a lot of Inferi down there. It will take a long time to identify and search for them."

Kreacher seemed to have just come to his senses, his tennis-ball-like bulging eyes revealing deep sorrow, "Is Kreacher about to see Master Regulus? Kreacher wants to come back here and take the Master away every moment, but Kreacher must obey the Master's words..."

Gloria lowered her head slightly, her light blonde hair falling to her cheeks. "Can you tell me about my father?"

This is how she once asked Coco to find out everything about her mother.

"Master Regulus is the best and most gentle person in the world. He is very good to Kreacher, and everyone in the Black family likes him." Kreacher wanted to heap all the good words on Regulus, but then his face changed, "Except for that traitor who broke everyone's heart!"

Whenever Sirius was involved, Kreacher had nothing but curses.

Gloria waited quietly for him to finish scolding her before she started talking about her father, from his naivety as a toddler to his vigorous and energetic growth as a teenager.

With a few splashes, three snakes broke out of the lake and surrounded a corpse that appeared.

Gloria almost couldn't stand up. It seemed like she walked for a long time just a few steps. Finally, she knelt down next to the corpse. Although the corpses were all soaked in water, they were shriveled and skinny, and their faces were easy to recognize.

"I ate the curse on him to see if I made a mistake." Jörmungandr asked her.

Gloria held the peaceful face with closed eyes in her hands. Kreacher was already sobbing and crying, "It's Master Regulus. Kreacher will never forget what the Master looks like!"

Regulus was so thin after his death that she could lift his upper body and hug him tightly with just a little effort.

"You're right, Jörmungandr. Let the other Inferi rest in peace. It's time for their bodies to return to the world."

The giant white snake opened its bloody mouth and absorbed all the dark curse under the lake. After doing this, the three snakes took them back to the other side.

Gloria stood by the lake, pointed her wand at the lake, and shouted, "Fiendfire!"

The calm lake surface was ablaze with flames, as if the lake was not filled with water but some kind of combustion accelerator. The fierce fire she cast would burn everything in the cave and extinguish itself.

Draco, who was far away in Hogwarts, had no idea what Gloria had been through, and he was looking forward to Lori's Christmas gift.

He ran hurriedly to the Christmas tree, which was already piled with gifts for him.

The owl at home was very sensible and placed the gifts from his parents and Gloria in the most conspicuous place.

The Malfoys not only gave him gifts, but also gave him letters respectively, asking about his recent situation.

Draco looked at it carefully before opening Gloria's gift. It looked like there was only a letter. With the idea of continuing to believe in Lori, the boy opened the gift package.

There was indeed a letter inside, and when it was taken out, there were also a few photos.

The first color photo I saw was of Grace showing off his majestic body and breathing dragon fire. Gloria was holding a dragon egg and standing at the feet of the black flame dragon.

Draco quickly opened the envelope.

Dear Draco,

Merry Christmas. Have you seen the present? I want to give you a black flame dragon egg. The baby dragon will hatch next summer. Then you can sign a bloodline contract. This black flame dragon will always guard you until you die.

My Draco should have a dragon by his side

The black flame dragons outside have been extinct for many years, but there are still some in the forest near my manor. No wizards or Muggles can find them. I can't send them to you at school. It's too dangerous. I will bring you more photos when I come back.

——Your Lori

Draco's mind went blank. Gloria gave him a dragon egg?! And they could even sign a blood contract!

It is difficult for magical animals to sign blood contracts, let alone extremely dangerous creatures like fire dragons.

But Lori wouldn't lie to him, and the black-scaled dragon in the photo was so beautiful that Draco wished tomorrow was summer vacation.
