HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 5: Preliminary Introduction

If the scene of Gloria chatting happily with three snakes was seen, it would shock the entire wizarding world.

Suddenly, the snakes turned their heads towards the door at the same time.

Golinia warned: "Someone is trying to open the door without permission."

Gloria stood up, and screams came through the door. "Looks like she's been dealt with by a counter-curse. I'll go out for a while."

She drew the curtains, opened the door and found two girls standing at the door.

"What did you do to the door!"

The girl with short black hair, ordinary looks and slightly protruding nostrils asked in a shrill voice.

Gloria walked out of the dormitory and closed the door. "I have a strong sense of personal security and defense. I cast a counter-spell on the door. Except for knocking, other contact methods will be rebounded."

The blonde girl next to her smiled and said, "Pansy didn't mean it. As sophomores, we would like to invite you to the common room to get to know each other."

Under Pansy's angry eyes, the three of them pretended that what had just happened had not happened.

When we arrived at the common room, we saw members of a small group of pure-blood families, led by Malfoy.

Among them, Draco, with platinum hair combed back with hairspray, pale face and handsome features, looked at the new edition of the Daily Prophet with a smug expression, "My father wrote to say that this car seen by many Muggles belongs to that poor Weasley. The Ministry of Magic has sent him to investigate, and there is a high probability that he will be expelled."

Zabini curled his lips, "I don't know how Harry Potter could have such a friend. Our dean left at the dinner, apparently because of this car."

Draco threw away the newspaper, his expression and words were full of contempt, "Saint Potter, his friends are a pure-blood traitor Weasley and a Mudblood Granger. It turns out that the Potter family has been completely polluted by the blood of his Mudblood mother."

In Slytherin Manor, Gloria, who had listened to the portraits calling Muggles mudbloods for more than a decade, successfully became immune to this extremely insulting word. When she first heard of it, she found it very harsh.

She was sure that if Harry knew these words, he would punch Malfoy's pretty face hard.

Everyone sneered, expressing their approval of what Draco said.

Zabini raised his eyes and saw the stunningly beautiful new classmate. His light blonde hair reflected a soft glow under the candlelight, his rare silver eyes were calm and his brows were slightly furrowed. Perhaps because he was sitting, he felt as if he was being looked down upon by the other person.

"Look, here comes Miss Albert from France."

Gloria's eyelids twitched slightly. Her grandmother was indeed a lady from the French Albert family, but after marrying her grandfather, she completely lost contact with the family to ensure that the Slytherin family remained in seclusion.

"Gloria Alber, nice to meet you."

When she introduced herself, she smiled sincerely, which made her delicate face more lively and gave people the feeling that she meant what she said.

Draco stood up first. The twelve-year-old boy had lost the baby fat he had in first grade and had grown taller. He was almost as tall as Gloria. As he approached, the crisp scent of lime mixed with a hint of mint hairspray slowly permeated Gloria's body.

He extended his slender white right hand to Gloria, "Malfoy, Draco Malfoy, Slytherin welcomes pure bloods like you to join."

From the way he introduced his own name, it can be seen that Draco is proud of his family name.

Gloria squeezed his slightly warm fingers and then quickly withdrew them. "I learned about the four houses before coming to school, and Slytherin is the most suitable for me."

It was obvious that Master Platinum was very satisfied with this answer. A smile appeared on his pale and handsome face. "That's right." He sat back on the sofa and pointed to another seat and said, "Sit down."

Every sofa was occupied. Gloria was not used to sitting on the same sofa with others. "Tok."

The house elf appeared with a snap, its head almost touching the ground. "What does the honorable Miss Gloria need?"

"sofa."

After a snap of his fingers, a new sofa appeared across the coffee table from Draco. It was no different from the sofa in the lounge. Gloria walked over and sat down alone.

Then Gloria learned the names of the other people, Blaise Zabini, a man with dark skin and narrow eyes. Among the people present, he was the only one who could match Draco's status.

As for the two girls who called her, the black-haired one was Pansy Parkinson, who obviously had a romantic attitude towards Draco. When they arrived at the lounge, her obsessed eyes never left Draco's face.

The blonde is Daphne Greengrass, who seems to be on good terms with Pansy but is actually competing against her secretly.

Sitting very close to Pansy was a girl named Millicent Bulstrode, who also had black hair but was tall and strong with a thick chin.

Zabini helped the thin and silent boy sitting in the corner of the sofa to tell his name: Theodore Nott.

The two tall and strong men who didn't look very smart were Gregory Goyle and Vincent Crabbe.

In addition to the close pure-bloods from large families, there were also a few people from smaller families sitting here, and senior pure-blood students passing by would also greet Draco.

After a brief introduction, the group of boys and girls went back to chatting among themselves. Draco held his head high, boasting in his tone, "My father said that if I pass the selection and join the school Quidditch team, he will give me a reward."

Although his father was unhappy that he lost to a Muggle in the final exam, he still loved him.

"Draco, you will definitely be able to join the team." Pansy looked at Draco with admiration.

Zabini added, "Your father is very generous."

Draco was very satisfied with the compliments people gave to his family and his father. "Speaking of this, it reminds me of the group of Weasleys and Potters I met at Flourish and Blotts! It seemed like the fireplace they were using hadn't been cleaned for ten years, and everyone looked like a goblin who had just crawled out of a mud hole."

Pansy covered her mouth and giggled: "I saw Potter on the headlines of the newspaper. His face and body were covered in dirt."

Gloria recalled Harry and Ron who rode in the same carriage. The two boys were shy but full of good intentions. She couldn't help but smile, but what are goblins?

"Albert, did you also see Potter's ridiculous face in the newspaper?" Draco asked her suddenly.

"No, I'm just curious about what a goblin is."

Draco raised his chin, "A vermin, with house elves, you won't see those filthy things."

"I've never met Miss Albert at any party." Daphne turned the topic to Gloria in a soft voice, "Did you grow up in France?"

Gloria shook her head, "No, I was born in England and just left the manor today."

"Stayed in the manor all the time?" Zabini was quite surprised.

"Yes, so I like this school very much." Gloria looked around the lounge, "I like this college too."

The small group had a pleasant chat. Gloria felt sleepy after staying for less than half an hour. She said goodbye and left. She wanted to have a good rest tonight because she had classes tomorrow.

As soon as the figure disappeared, Pansy couldn't wait to ask, "Is she really Albert? Why was she born and raised in England?"

Zabini shrugged nonchalantly, "Perhaps her parents chose to leave France and keep a low profile in order to avoid family struggles."

Pansy turned to look at Draco, wanting to hear his opinion, but found that the boy had been staring at the direction where Gloria left, "Draco!"

Draco turned his head slowly after being called, and said after thinking for a moment, "Isn't the family emblem of the Albert family the letter S with three snakes wrapped around it?"

The Malfoy family emblem is black, silver and green, embellished with a snake pattern. There are two winged dragons on both sides of the letter M. The family ring is a silver snake, expressing respect for Salazar Slytherin.

However, there are almost no families whose family emblem only uses the snake.

"I'll write to Mother and ask her. I've never seen a badge like this before," Zabini said slowly.

Draco raised his eyebrows and didn't mention it again, but he mentally prepared to write a letter to his father to ask. This Miss Albert was mysterious, beautiful and rich, and it was worth finding out.
