HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 39: Prepare to Show Off Your Skills

There are many spells in the wizarding world. Many students don't know that the [Water Curtain Protection] Gloria used is a self-created spell. Besides, it is not surprising that some families with a long history know some unfamiliar spells. She is a pure-blood from Slytherin College.

The incident in the last Potions class had no results, and the pressure around Professor Snape became even lower. I heard that students from other colleges have been miserable in recent days, with everything from their class performance to their essays being criticized.

Crabbe and Goyle forgot about what happened in class the next day. Draco went to the dean's office mysteriously these days, and Gloria always felt that he was holding back.

Wednesday Dinner The boy arrived at the auditorium with excitement on his face, sat down in the seat Gloria had reserved for him, turned sideways to face her, "Lori, I have good news for you."

Gloria put down the cup, "What?"

Draco waved his hand and lowered his head, "Stay closer to me, I don't want others to know right now." Gloria listened to him and moved closer, her warm breath falling on her cheek, she whispered softly, "Lockhart has applied to the principal to hold a duel club, and asked Professor Snape to be his assistant. I will learn spells from the professor these few days, and then I will be in a group with Potter and deal with him openly!"

I'm really holding it back...

Gloria saw his eager expression and knew that there would be a conflict tonight, but with the two professors present, they wouldn't make things too ugly.

"Promise me that you won't use any dark magic spells out of anger, or the professor won't be able to protect you."

Draco nodded seriously, "I promise you, and the professor has taught me a spell that is scary enough." He sneered at this.

Since it was taught by Professor Snape, it must be within the acceptable range. Thinking of this, Gloria turned around and continued to drink juice.

Thinking about the Dueling Club, Draco couldn't wait to drag Gloria to look at the bulletin board. He knew it was tonight, but he didn't know the exact time.

Crabbe and Goyle pushed aside the people in front of them rudely. Gloria saw the parchment notice that the first party would be held in the auditorium at 8 o'clock in the evening, but it did not specify which professor would host the club.

"Eight o'clock, it starts in another hour." Draco held Gloria's wrist tightly, as if he had foreseen that Potter would be defeated by his spell at the party.

Gloria said, "Then go early and get a good seat."

Draco looked at the parchment with a proud expression, "Don't worry, you'll get a good seat no matter what time you go."

"We'll get it done." Crabbe's fat cheeks trembled as he nodded.

Okay, almost forgot about these two.

By eight o'clock, many students had arrived at the auditorium. The long dining tables disappeared, the ceiling was as dark as velvet, hundreds of candles illuminated the auditorium, and there was a gilded stage in the center.

Almost all the students from all grades in the school came and crowded around the stage, all wanting to get to the front.

It was the first time that Gloria saw so many students holding wands at the same time. Crabbe and Goyle used their tall and strong bodies to push people away. Even when senior students were pushed away, they did not dare to make a sound and silently gave up their seats.

Draco's tall figure blocked Gloria from being squeezed by others.

Harry and the others appeared on the opposite side of the stage. Fred and George reached out and pulled the still thin Harry to the front of the stage, while Hermione and Ron squeezed in sideways.

The students in the auditorium were chattering, their faces full of excitement, and they were all looking forward to the upcoming duel.

When Professor Lockhart, who was radiant and wearing a purple robe tied at an angle, appeared, Gloria could clearly hear the groans of disappointment from those around her. The same was true for Harry sitting opposite her. In every Defense Against the Dark Arts class, Harry was the focus of Lockhart's attention, and he had to play various important roles and perform. Draco often made fun of him for this.

"Come around, come around." The place was crowded enough that Lockhart even asked the students to get closer to the stage. "Can you all see me and hear me?"

The girls in the audience responded enthusiastically, and Lockhart was very satisfied with this. He untied his robe and threw it casually. The girls scrambled for the robe and looked at Professor Lockhart's charming smile obsessively.

Draco looked like he was about to throw up, as usual, "Look at these stupid girls from three houses."

It happened that Hermione and another girl received the robes. Gloria tried hard to keep a straight face. She still couldn't understand why Hermione's admiration for Lockhart remained unabated.

She casually patted Draco, just in time to pat the boy's strong abdomen. Draco trembled and his cheeks gradually flushed, but he was relieved when he saw that Gloria was still paying attention to the stage.

After a lot of nonsense, Lockhart finally invited Professor Snape up.

If Harry felt tired when he saw Lockhart, then he felt desperate when he saw Professor Snape. Last time, it seemed that Snape knew that it was them who stole the potion materials, and he particularly targeted the three of them in the Potions class.

Ron was very happy and said to Harry, "That's great. I hope they can both lose the duel. Then they don't have to attend two classes."

Ron often played the bad guy and was attacked in Lockhart's class, and he hated this subject as much as Harry did.

"I don't think that's likely." Harry thought that only Lockhart would be hurt.

The stage seemed to have become Lockhart's one-man show, with Professor Snape remaining silent. Perhaps that was why he invited Snape instead of Professor Flitwick, the former duel champion.

"Before you are divided into groups, Professor Snape and I will demonstrate. Don't worry, I will definitely return the Potions Master to you intact. Don't be afraid!"

Professor Snape just snorted.

Finally, Lockhart finished his nonsense, and he and Professor Snape turned to each other and bowed.

Lockhart was still doing many different tricks with his wand, and Professor Snape watched him silently with a gloomy face.

"He's going to lose badly," Draco shared his opinion.

Gloria immediately agreed: "I agree."

The two professors held their wands in front of their chests like swords. Lockhart did not forget to explain the rules of the duel. "When I count to three, we will cast the first spell together. Of course, we will not hurt each other's lives."

"one two Three!"

Both wands were raised over their shoulders at the same time, and Professor Snape shouted, "Expelliarmus!"

A dazzling red light flashed, and Lockhart, maintaining his stunned expression, was hit and flew to the end of the stage, where he curled up.

There was immediate warm applause from the Slytherin side. Draco clapped particularly hard and sneered at Lockhart who was lying on the stage.

Lockhart staggered to his feet, his carefully groomed golden curls standing on end, looking very dishevelled, but he quickly adjusted himself and began to make up for it.

"The intention of that move just now was too obvious. If I wanted to stop it, it would be effortless. However, it is a good example for them to make mistakes..." Professor Snape looked murderous after hearing these words. Lockhart immediately called everyone, "The demonstration is over. Now you should divide into twos and start the actual combat."

The two professors divided the students into groups. Gloria was assigned by Professor Snape to be in a group with Pansy. All the students dispersed to ensure that the group duel would not affect others.

Professor Snape arrived in front of Harry and Ron first and sneered, "It's time to disband Gryffindor's dream team." He stared at the two boys with fear on their faces with ill intent, "Weasley, you and Finnigan form a team, Potter..."

Harry's eyes widened and he subconsciously moved closer to Hermione.

"I said the dream team has to be disbanded, including Miss Granger, of course." Snape laughed coldly: "Malfoy, come here to deal with the famous Mr. Potter. Miss Granger, you team up with Miss Bulstrode."

Both of them frowned. They were all assigned to Slytherin students. Hermione wanted to be in the same group with Gloria, but unfortunately she had already been assigned to the same group with Pansy.
