HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 33 Unexpected Understanding

Gloria now understood why Harry and the others were inattentive in class. There was a potion in the abandoned bathroom that took a long time to brew, and their minds were not focused there.

Especially in Potions class, not only were Harry and Ron inattentive, but even Hermione would peek around from time to time.

In the past, Draco would have noticed these unusual behaviors, but he was now fully focused on discussing the knowledge points of the club with Gloria. The senior students would pass on what their predecessors left behind to the new members bit by bit, so as to achieve internal inheritance of Slytherin College.

Gloria is now considered a half-club member.

Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff are playing against each other this weekend, and the tables of both houses have been empty early on. Some Slytherin students will go to watch, while Gryffindor will be there to show their support.

"Why watch their game? We're going to play against Hufflepuff in two weeks." Draco decided not to watch the game. He always hated Gryffindor, looked down on Hufflepuff, and had a neutral feeling towards Ravenclaw.

"I want to watch a normal Quidditch match. Although the last one was exciting, the bludger was too weird." I can't find the entrance to the main chamber of secrets, and I've read a lot of books in the library, so I want to do something relaxing.

Draco wrinkled his nose, "Well, I'll just go to the club. I'll see you in the lunch hall. We'll go somewhere fun this afternoon. The other club members told me about it."

"Okay, see you then."

"Crabbe, Goyle." Draco called his two followers, "For my sake, the club agrees that you can join first."

There are many followers like them in the Pure-Blood Club. Every heir from a big family has followers, and Draco is no exception.

The two bodyguards were very happy to hear this. Being able to follow Draco all the time would be like fulfilling their father's instructions.

They left and Zabini and the others came in. It seemed that this group of people only got together at some time from Monday to Friday and rarely met on weekends.

Pansy, who had been hiding from Gloria for a while, was in high spirits today. She saw Draco let go of Daphne and chased after him.

Daphne sat directly across from Gloria, "Hey Gloria, haven't you joined the Pureblood Club yet?"

"No, I plan to go in the third grade." She picked up a piece of steak with a pink interior and took a bite. It was soft and juicy, and it was extremely delicious with Tok's exclusive sauce.

"What a shame," Zabini interrupted, "I gave up my date today and am going to the club later. We were all allowed to join in advance."

Daphne said, "Pansy is in a hurry to go first, what are your plans for today?"

Gloria felt that their attitude was strange. "Watch the Quidditch match."

Daphne raised an eyebrow, "Really? Ravenclaw really doesn't look good against Hufflepuff. How about we help you talk and let you enter the club in advance?"

"Do you think you can give me charity?" Gloria understood what they meant and glanced at them calmly, except for Theodore. "Instead of showing off your presence in front of me, you should think more about how to strengthen the family's strength."

The gentleness in Zabini's narrow eyes disappeared in an instant, and his tone was calm. He had long been dissatisfied with Albert who did not take them seriously. "I think our family's strength is definitely stronger than yours who only has a surname."

"Haha——" Gloria felt like she was hearing a huge joke.

Daphne finally dropped her gentle disguise and said, "You just tried to please Draco. You're a little clever, but you don't understand the power of a family like ours."

During this period of time, Draco's attention was completely on this girl, and his communication with them gradually decreased.

They are all the next generation of family heirs, and a good foundation for friendship must be laid when they are young. Gloria monopolizes the important Malfoy's only son, and she disdains to establish "friendship" with them.

This is not possible——

"I don't understand?" Gloria put down her fork. The crisp sound attracted several Slytherin students around her to watch cautiously. "I don't think so. The declining Greengrass family is eager to marry a powerful pure-blood family. Your last transportation business completely collapsed three years ago. Now you can only rely on the little property and land inherited from your ancestors to barely maintain your brilliance. Apart from these, you only have the title of pure blood. Your sister is more beautiful. It seems that you put all your hopes of turning the marriage around on her."

Daphne's face turned pale instantly, the fork made a harsh squeaking sound when it rubbed against the plate, and her body trembled slightly. Everyone thought that her family's transportation business was still going on, so she could compete with Pansy, but now...

"Parkinson is spoiled like this after all he has some family background. You still have the mind to examine whether I will become your family's marriage rival. It's ridiculous."

These words made Daphne want to get up and leave, but her identity as a member of the Holy Twenty-Eight Pure-Blood Families did not allow her to escape.

"And you." Gloria looked at Zabini. "As expected of Madam Zabini's son, you are smart and ambitious, but... you have huge wealth but no corresponding power. You must have been worried all these years, worried that those families would join forces to encircle and suppress you and your son. Fortunately, your mother has brains. Guess if I take action, can your family's wealth be preserved? Do you want to try?"

The people from the other small pure-blood families didn't dare to say a word, for fear that Gloria would expose their secrets as well.

Theodore watched everything coldly and continued to eat in silence.

Zabini held the fork tightly for a while before slowly loosening it. "We know too little about Miss Albert. We are too presumptuous."

Gloria curled her lips and picked up the fork again, "Remember my words, strengthen the family's strength, so that you will have a better foothold in the future."

No one dared to ask what would happen in the future, which made her say such words.

After eating, she clapped her hands and left, thinking that the two people in front of her were too weak and had the nerve to imply her.

It's getting colder in Britain in November, but there's no snow yet. It will probably have to wait until December. The biting cold wind blows in gusts, almost scraping the flesh off your face, which can be considered an alternative kind of magical damage.

There were cheers coming from the stadium, and everyone's enthusiasm for Quidditch could not be dispelled.

Only one-third of the people came to Slytherin's viewing area, while the viewing areas of the other three colleges were full. Gloria lay on the fence and watched the two teams enter.

Under normal circumstances, Quidditch matches are very interesting, and the two houses do not play tricks, unlike the last time Slytherin played against Gryffindor, where players would hit each other and push each other from time to time.

Gloria applauded no matter who scored a goal, but the other Slytherin students reacted indifferently.

More than 20 minutes into the game, a yellow figure caught the Golden Snitch, and the Hufflepuff viewing area erupted in cheers.

"It's Diggory!"

From a distance, Gloria saw a tall, handsome and gentle senior boy holding up the Golden Snitch. The other team members surrounded him, and even the Ravenclaw team members went over to say a few words.

Much milder than the match between Slytherin and Gryffindor.
