HP: White Lord of Slytherin
Chapter 28: Students' Fear
Colin from Gryffindor did not show up on Monday. All the students knew that he was petrified. Some Gryffindor students wanted to go to the hospital wing to visit him, but they were all driven out by Madam Pomfrey and no one was allowed to get close.
Draco used this opportunity to talk about part of the conversation he heard in the hospital wing that night, but he did not mention what Headmaster Dumbledore said about the Chamber of Secrets being opened.
The boy who defeated Harry and caught the Golden Snitch in the first game and then quickly quit the team became the focus again. Besides talking about the petrification incident, everyone in the school was talking about him.
It's nothing that Harry personally clarified that the Bludger's out-of-control had nothing to do with the Slytherin team. Recently, Slytherin students have been walking with the wind, and they mock other colleges from time to time. By the way, it's a pity that the genius Malfoy withdrew from the team for his personal safety, otherwise he would have continued to beat Harry.
A Muggle-born wizard was petrified, and the students in the school were a little panicked. Everyone moved in groups of three or five and never moved alone.
However, the professors patrolled the castle regularly, which reduced the students' panic.
In the auditorium on Tuesday morning, the buzz of students gathered together to discuss was endless. Zabini squeezed past Crabbe and Goyle and sat opposite Gloria. Daphne and Theodore were next to him. Pansy sat quietly on the left side of Theodore, not close to Gloria.
"Did you really only see Creevey that night?" Zabini still didn't quite believe that Gloria didn't know anything else.
"Of course I only saw him." Gloria drank the warm milk slowly, "If I really saw other people lying in the other hospital wings, there would be more than just Creevey."
Daphne murmured, "What kind of monster can petrify people? Is Salazar just going to petrify all the mudbloods and throw them out of the school?"
Petrification is not fatal. Headmaster Dumbledore said that once the Mandrake is mature, it can save the petrified students and Mrs. Norris.
Salazar is so kind?
If these words were heard by the other three colleges, it would probably cause a large-scale dispute.
Draco was also drinking milk. He had not told anyone except Gloria about what his father had written in his letter fifty years ago. "Lori said, didn't you see it? Are you all going back for Christmas?"
"We're all going back. I didn't expect you wouldn't be able to go back. I thought we could meet at the Christmas party." Zabini said regretfully, and then asked, "Ms. Albert isn't staying at school either?"
"Well, I have to go back."
If he didn't go back and let the three snakes stretch their muscles, they would all want to sneak into the forbidden forest to play.
Daphne invited enthusiastically: "Miss Albert, would you like to attend our Christmas party?"
Pansy had been avoiding Gloria recently and rarely even spoke to Draco, so she had to invite him personally.
"No." Gloria refused without hesitation, "I have made plans for the Christmas holiday."
She had no intention of making close friends with this group of people in the first place. If Draco was not around, she would still be willing to go to such a boring party. What's the point of going there if she didn't care about the most important thing?
Daphne had anticipated this outcome and didn't feel sorry about it.
Draco put down the cup and asked softly, "I will definitely be able to go home during Easter. Can you come to my house then?"
Easter is in March or April, and the warm spring weather is perfect for traveling. “Okay, I haven’t made any plans for that holiday yet.”
Zabini was used to them being closer, "Draco, be careful in school."
Draco didn't care at all and said, "The Monster of the Chamber of Secrets only targets the Clay People. Slytherin House doesn't have to worry about anyone except the Half-bloods."
They agreed with this point and stopped worrying about the petrification.
Hundreds of owls flew into the auditorium at this time. The students opened their packages and found all kinds of strange things. From their conversation, they learned that they were various amulets and exorcism items. Even Neville, a pure-blood wizard, bought some.
The Slytherin House was the least active. They firmly believed that pure-bloods would not be attacked by the monster in the Chamber of Secrets, and they watched coldly as the half-blood and Muggle-born wizards and witches became anxious.
Draco was very satisfied with the situation caused by the Monster of the Chamber of Secrets. He said to Gloria, "They underestimated the monsters left by the founder of Slytherin. How could those things withstand the attack?"
This is true.
"It's a peace of mind. Now the professors take turns patrolling the castle. It's much safer than the amulet." Gloria packed up and prepared to leave. "Charms class is about to start. Let's go."
Now everyone is taking the Charms class very seriously. The Defense Against the Dark Arts class has completely become an opera performance for Muggles. We can only rely on the Charms class.
"Today we are learning the Shield Charm, which is a very practical defensive spell." Professor Flitwick stood on a pile of books and looked around, pointing to Gloria, "Miss Albert, you can cast an offensive spell on me, and I will show you the Shield Charm."
Gloria stood up and walked to the podium, holding her wand and nodded to the professor, then waved her wand, "Heavy blow!"
Professor Flitwick tapped his wand. "Protection of armour."
The offensive spell seemed to hit the air, exploding and disappearing. Professor Flitwick said excitedly, "This is the first time I've heard of this offensive spell. The attack effect is good and it consumes little magic power."
"Thank you, Professor. This is a spell I created. Being cursed feels like being punched."
Flitwick's smile grew even brighter, and he felt very sorry that she was not a Ravenclaw student. "Very good, ten points to Slytherin."
When the Gryffindor students in the same class heard that it was a self-created spell, they started talking about it. It's only the second year and he's already created a spell. Is Slytherin going to have another genius student?
Hermione blushed as she applauded Gloria. They had learned this spell but had never had the chance to use it.
Professor Flitwick said, "Now you can try it with your classmates in the same group. Use the simplest spell to test the Shield Charm. If you are really affected, come to me to remove the curse."
Draco immediately turned to Gloria beside him, "I have learned the heavy hitting spell. I will try it on those idiots in Gryffindor when I have a chance."
"They're over there, keep your voice down." Gloria stood up and said to him, "Use it here first."
Draco shook his head. "Why would I attack you? I know the Shield Charm. I learned it during the summer vacation of my first year."
Gloria looked at Professor Flitwick who was looking around, "Don't you want to get extra points for being the first group to finish?" Draco hesitated, and Gloria said directly, "How about I attack you?"
This time he agreed, "Okay."
A light heavy spell was blocked by the Iron Armor Charm. The small Flitwick had good eyesight and immediately saw the situation here. "Oh, it seems that Miss Albert and Mr. Malfoy succeeded. Let's try it over there."
Draco had no choice but to cast a spell on Gloria, which she blocked perfectly.
"Well done! Five extra points to Slytherin. You're the first group of successful students!" After saying this, Flitwick looked at the Gryffindor students with encouraging eyes, hoping to give extra points to the second group of successful students.
After they succeeded, they began to look at the other students. Someone used the Clear Water Like Spring Curse to pour water on the faces of the students in the same group. Their legs became stiff, and some were petrified.
Draco was busy making fun of other students. Gloria looked at Harry and the others and found that they were absent-minded and were whispering something together.
In the end, the second successful group was Gryffindor, and the third group was Slytherin. When Professor Flitwick saw that the fourth group was still Gryffindor, he smiled and gave extra points before ending the class.
