HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Malfoy Manor was less decorated with flowers than during the summer vacation, and white peacocks were walking on the snow.

After putting her things away, Gloria went back to Slytherin Manor. She had to find out why Sirius was able to escape from Azkaban.

Now that she and the elves are the only ones left in the manor, Newt has returned home, preparing to spend Christmas with his family.

As soon as the door of the portrait room opened, the sound of bustling conversation continued.

A woman in an elaborate dress was walking around in the frame. "Gloria, where's your boyfriend?"

"Not here today," Gloria said, walking towards one of the picture frames.

This frame is not like the other portraits, with a richly painted background. Behind the portrait is a dark scene. The white-haired man looks gloomy at the young man. When he sees her stop in front of him, he says coldly, "What do you want to ask?"

"Axtis, when you created the Dementors, did you discover how to avoid them?"

Ike's portrait lowered its eyes for a moment and asked, "Why do you mention this?"

"The first criminal to escape from the place you chose as a prison has appeared." Gloria said, "It's my father's brother, and he has not been caught yet."

Ike sat and thought for a while before he said, "Dementors are very sensitive to human emotions. No matter how they hide, they can be smelled, except for animals that don't have strong emotional reactions."

"animal?"

Gloria's mind immediately popped up Professor McGonagall who transformed into a tabby cat in the Transfiguration class, "Animagus... Sirius is an illegal Animagus!"

That makes sense. Sirius could definitely become an illegal Animagus.

"I haven't tried it, but it's the most likely way," said Ekstice.

This reminded her of seeing a very large dog when she went to pick up Harry. Later, she saw the same dog near the Screaming Shack. She thought it looked familiar at the time. After careful recollection, it looked very similar to the one she saw on Magnolia Crescent Street. It was just that it was too dark at the time and she couldn't see it clearly, but the physique was about the same.

Sirius had already found Harry's location, but he didn't take any action.

After hearing this, the portraits stopped what they were doing.

"Really? Slytherin Manor is finally bustling with life, but don't let those people in here. We don't meet everyone."

Draco was able to come in because Gloria brought him in, and Headmaster Dumbledore was able to come in because the portraits agreed.

Gloria walked towards the door, "I know. I'll just let them walk around the hall."

Leaving the portrait studio, she came to the room where her parents' portraits were.

"Lori--" Aurora said with a smile, "You're back. Leir and I were still guessing when you would come over."

"How is school?" Regulus looked at his daughter with a smile in his gray eyes.

"It's fine." Gloria saw that her parents were in a much better mood. "There's only one thing. As you know, Sirius escaped from Azkaban, broke into Hogwarts on Halloween, and tore the canvas on the door of the Gryffindor dormitory."

At the time, Hermione said that the Fat Lady in the canvas was so frightened that she didn't dare go back even after the canvas was repaired.

Regulus shook his head, "He's still as impatient as ever. Fortunately, he didn't have a wand in his hand, otherwise it wouldn't be the canvas that would be torn."

"Just now I finally figured out how he escaped from Azkaban. Sirius is an illegal Animagus." Gloria said, "I saw him when I picked up Harry. And the night we broke into Hogwarts was during a party, so no one was in the dormitory. Draco and I also saw him near the Shrieking Shack. Father, what on earth is he going to do?"

"Hearing you say that, I am even more certain that Sirius is not a traitor." Regulus' eyes were gentle. "We have a bad relationship, but I know my brother. He has hated currying favor with the strong since he was a child, so he particularly rejected banquets between pure-blood families. After graduation, he has been fighting against Voldemort. If he really wanted to betray, he should have contacted the Black family first. I didn't see him at any Death Eater gathering before I died."

Gloria took all of these words to heart. "I won't tell anyone that he is an illegal Animagus. I will find a way to find him after I return to school. In fact, I have a vague feeling that his target is not Harry."

"Lori," Regulus said, "Don't put yourself in danger. If you are worried, tell Dumbledore. He is a very good headmaster."

Gloria nodded, "I'll think about it, Father."

On Christmas Day, the party at Malfoy Manor was held as scheduled. Those present were all British pure-blood families, as well as people in the Ministry of Magic who were on good terms with Lucius.

Minister Fudge certainly would not miss this opportunity to greet the guests at the banquet.

Gloria was still thinking about the unsigned gift she received today. The gorgeous jewelry necklace could resist complex evil curses. In the wizarding world, anything that could resist small evil curses was not cheap, let alone this necklace.

The first thing she thought of was Sirius.

"Lori, are you feeling unwell?" Draco looked at her worriedly. Gloria seemed to be out of shape.

"Nothing. I was just thinking about the necklace."

Draco handed the drink to her and said, "Father has taken it to Borgin and Burke's for inspection. He will take it back if there is no problem."

Seeing such an unsigned and luxurious gift, the Malfoys also thought of the fugitive Sirius. Lucius immediately took the gift to Knockturn Alley to avoid any accidents if it was kept with him.

"Gloria, Draco."

Zabini came over in a neat suit, holding a goblet, accompanied by Daphne and Pansy. Theodore had disappeared somewhere.

Gloria nodded, and Draco glanced around and said, "Theodore is hiding again."

Pansy gathered her skirt and said, "He's always like this. Mr. Nott is much more proactive."

"Yes." Daphne raised her finger and pointed, "I'm talking to Minister Fudge."

"I heard that the Minister is angry about the escaped prisoner from Azkaban, and some people within the Ministry of Magic have been questioning him." Zabini had learned all this information very clearly.

Draco said, "Yes, my father said that he is actively trying to win over the pure-blood families in the Ministry to support him. Some people have proposed to remove the Dementors and let the Aurors guard Azkaban. Fudge thinks that these are voices against him and he is very unhappy about it."

Gloria was curious, "Where will the Dementors be moved to?"

It seems that no wizard can kill them with magic, they can only be driven away.

Daphne shrugged, "That's unclear. Just don't run around in the wizarding world."
