HP: White Lord of Slytherin

Chapter 103 Persuading Harry

On the way, Hermione and Ron had not yet recovered from their surprise. No matter what they thought of Sirius before, they had never expected that he and Harry had such a relationship.

"The fugitive is Harry's godfather..."

Ron had a bitter face. He couldn't imagine that such a close friendship could be betrayed. For example, if he was asked to betray Harry now, he absolutely couldn't do it.

Hermione looked serious, "So he is a vicious criminal who can betray even his best friend, let alone kill his godson."

Gloria said nothing and returned to the castle as quickly as possible.

When walking to the second floor, she saw a group of Slytherin students. Gloria stopped and said to them, "Tell Draco I'm in the Chamber of Secrets and will go to the Great Hall later. Don't look for me."

After saying that, he continued walking forward with Hermione and Ron.

Gloria did not open the secret room today. It was still closed when she came. She spoke a string of snake language to the snake on the pillar.

"I haven't seen you for a long time." Myrtle floated by the window.

Gloria remembered that after this place was renovated, she arranged another place for the ghost.

"Moaning Myrtle—" Hermione said, "It's been a long time indeed."

It wasn't like second grade, they didn't have to sneak around in the abandoned bathroom, and it wasn't a bathroom anymore.

Ron greeted with an awkward expression, not knowing what to say.

Gloria looked back frequently, wondering if Harry had come. When she was about to look for him in person, Harry appeared, and he seemed to have not yet come to his senses.

"Follow."

Several people walked in together, and Ron pointed to the front, "They actually installed this!"

Gloria had already entered the enchanted elevator, which did not require electricity to use like a Muggle elevator. "Would you like to take the stairs?"

He still remembered how he slid from the entrance to the secret room, and he walked into the elevator with a smile.

Today, the secret room has been greatly renovated. Except for the pillars carved with snakes, all the rest have been renovated. There are bookshelves on both sides of the spacious room, which are filled with various books.

The wall that originally had the statue of Salazar has now been replaced with statues of four giant snakes. The snakes' eyes are all made of gems of corresponding pupil colors, giving off a strong sense of oppression.

Harry found a sofa and sat down listlessly, still thinking about what he heard in the bar.

Hermione and Ron sat on either side of him, but they didn't know how to comfort him.

Gloria sat down across from them, "Harry, I asked you to come here, just hoping you wouldn't go find Sirius."

Harry looked up suddenly, his eyes red, "Did you know about his betrayal of my parents?"

Fudge knew from the time Gloria told him about Sirius, her unnatural expression, and the fact that she was the only one calm when she came back.

"I know," Gloria admitted frankly.

Harry gritted his teeth, his lips trembling, "They are friends... He betrayed his best friend!" He was extremely emotional when he said this, "I really hope he comes to me again. When I see him again, I will do everything I can to kill him!"

"That's why I didn't tell you." Gloria said, "How are you going to kill him? You've only been studying spells in school for less than three years, and you don't even know a single dark magic spell."

Harry gasped heavily, and unprecedented hatred flowed through his body like poison.

No wonder Minister Fudge was so evasive when Mr. Weasley made him promise again and again that he would not go to Sirius Black.

They all know...all know!

"Harry, Gloria is right." Hermione felt sorry for what happened to the Potters and hated Sirius' betrayal, but she still kept her sanity. "We are still students. Let the Ministry of Magic catch the criminals."

Ron nodded, "I think so too."

Even if the three of them were tied together, they couldn't deal with Sirius, who was a prisoner who escaped from Azkaban!

"He doesn't have a wand!" Harry shouted.

"I must remind you, Harry!" Gloria said in a serious tone, "Some wizards with advanced magical powers can cast wandless spells. Sirius may not be powerful enough to cast complex wandless spells, but with just a simple disarming spell, you will have no ability to resist."

She stood up and walked to Harry, pushing him onto the sofa. "Even if you want to find him, how can you hide from the Dementors? The Invisibility Cloak doesn't work against them."

"Harry - calm down." Hermione followed up, "He's wanted not only by the Ministry of Magic, but also in the Muggle world. He can't hide for long."

Ron said, "Harry, we will never let you go looking for that fugitive."

"He was able to escape from Azkaban and hasn't been caught until now, and even broke into Hogwarts." Harry was still angry, "Do you know what the screams I heard when the Dementors approached were? My mother's screams. She begged Voldemort to let me go and was willing to die!"

Hermione and Ron both looked distressed.

"That's why you should treasure your life even more!" Gloria scolded him, "You want to waste your parents' sacrifice by hastily looking for Sirius and then dying?"

Harry finally calmed down when he mentioned his dead parents.

After a moment of silence, Gloria asked Harry, "Did Fred and George tell you about all the secret passages leading to the school? Sirius might have come in through the secret passage."

Harry replied: "The others are either being guarded by Filch or have collapsed. There are also some that are impossible to approach. The only one I took today is still usable."

He didn't dare mention the Marauder's Map for fear that Gloria would take it away on the spot.

Hermione and Ron's minds were full of Sirius, and they didn't think about the Marauder's Map for a moment.

Gloria asked: "Where is the exact location of your secret passage?"

"On the fourth floor, by the one-eyed witch statue, chant the left-right separation spell to open it, leading directly to the candy store cellar."

After getting the answer, Gloria said to Ron, "Ron, take Harry back to the dormitory and bring him dinner. It's a good day off starting tomorrow, so let him take some time to sober up."

Ron took Harry, who had his head hung, out of the Chamber of Secrets, while Hermione was still sitting on the sofa.

"Hermione, you're the most rational of them all," Gloria said. "Don't let him do anything stupid."

Hermione nodded. "Of course, we decided early on to stay with Harry during Christmas, but Harry has been asking Professor Lupin to learn the Patronus Charm recently, and he..."

Smart Hermione has already guessed Professor Lupin's identity.

Gloria said: "He is a werewolf, but Professor Dumbledore must have trusted him very much to invite him here."

"You know." Hermione felt like she had found someone like her. She wasn't keeping the secret alone. "I thought so too, so I didn't tell them."

"You're right not to say it."

"Gloria... Harry told us that Sirius is your father's brother." Hermione asked carefully, "Will he look for you too?"

Gloria was silent for a while before she said, "Probably not. In fact, even if they approached me, it would be to win me over."

As the direct heir of Slytherin, even if Voldemort returns, he will try every means to win her over when he sees her.

She didn't want to continue this topic. "Don't talk about him anymore. I hope Harry can figure it out. If anything important happens, remember to tell me. If Harry is still hot-headed and wants to look for Sirius after he returns, just stuff his head into ice water!"

"Uh... we will try to persuade him." Hermione ruffled the ends of her hair. "I'm leaving now. Merry Christmas to you in advance!"

"Merry Christmas!"

Gloria closed the secret room. Myrtle had already left and came out at dinner time.

Draco sat in the auditorium with his head down in a daze, leaving an empty seat next to him and not touching the food on his plate.

"Why don't you eat?" Gloria asked him after she sat down.

Draco smiled unconsciously, "Waiting for you, but you talked for a long time."

"We encountered some troubles," Gloria said slowly, "but it's almost resolved now."
