Operation Red Book

Chapter 149 Joshua's image changes 1

"Bang bang bang-"

There were several muffled bangs from the door of 221-B Baker Street, waking up Ivy and Mrs. Hudson who were taking a nap in the living room.

"Little sheep! Little sheep! Open the door for us!"

Holmes's rough shout was heard outside the door. Instead of getting angry, Ivy and Mrs. Hudson both smiled as beautifully as flowers.

It has been two weeks since the Florence bombing.

Ivy suffered a concussion and was in a coma for two days before she woke up.

The first thing she did after she was able to walk again was to go to the Chinese Wharf to apologize to Mr. Zhu.

Fortunately, Mr. Zhu was magnanimous. When he learned that the absenteeism was due to injury, he reduced the half-month salary deduction to one week's salary.

Ivy still felt that Mr. Zhu was seeking revenge for personal gain and reasonably suspected that he was still brooding over the previous fight between the two.

If it weren't for the high medical bills, which had used up most of Ivy's savings and made it impossible to continue to afford living expenses, she would really want to abandon him for a month.

Joshua was in a more miserable situation. He was closer to the center of the explosion than anyone else and was crushed by the collapsed house for several hours.

According to what Holmes said, Joshua really was half dead.

The left side of the body that was mainly injured had fractures of varying degrees.

The eyeball of his left eye was cut by broken glass and he was blind for a long time.

The skull was hit by a stone and completely broken.

In short, the right half of the body still looks human, but the left half is completely useless.

After first aid at the hospital, Ms. Bell's resuscitation, and Raphael's secret injection of large amounts of holy water, the patient was finally recovered.

Joshua "miraculously" woke up after being in a coma for 10 days.

Joshua has been recovering from his injury at SCO for the past two weeks. Today is the day Joshua returns to 221-B Baker Street from SCO.

Holmes volunteered to pick him up, saying that this was a reward for Joshua's desperate efforts to protect the evidence.

Ivy and Mrs. Hudson opened the door excitedly, only to see Holmes and Ms. Bell standing in front of the door with a smile, followed by their two children, Luna and Thomas.

Holmes was pushing a small wheelchair made of solid wood, on which sat a person wrapped in white bandages.

The man's entire face was wrapped in bandages, leaving only a mouth and two nostrils for breathing.

If it weren't for the small tuft of flaxen curly hair left on the top of its head, Ivy wouldn't have realized that the bandaged doll was Joshua.

"Pfft-"

Ivy was stunned for a moment and couldn't help but sneer.

"Student Ivy, is that you?"

A muffled voice came from the bandage, somewhat clear and somewhat hoarse.

It was definitely Joshua, but the sound underneath the bandages made Ivy laugh.

After Mrs. Hudson invited everyone in, Ivy deliberately closed the door and laughed heartily for a while, causing everyone on the street to speed up their pace.

By the time Ivy wiped away her tears of laughter and reappeared in the living room, Ms. Bell had almost finished explaining everything to Mrs. Hudson and Holmes.

According to Ms. Bell, although Joshua can now walk and talk, his mind is still a little confused and unclear, and his body still needs further conditioning.

Ivy expressed doubts about what Ms. Bell said. Joshua usually looked unconscious and dazed. He didn't care about anything except those crappy detective novels.

After that, Ms. Bell and the two children began to remove Joshua's bandages.

Ivy was a little nervous. She had watched many melodramatic TV dramas in which the heroines always made a big splash after removing their bandages.

Now there was a living example in front of her, and Ivy swallowed unconsciously, complaining that Luna was dismantling it too slowly, and then complaining that Ms. Bell was dismantling it too quickly.

"I'm so curious, but so nervous..."

Ivy swallowed again and deliberately went around behind Joshua.

When Ms. Bell removed the last bandage on Joshua's head, the four faces except Ivy and Holmes came together in front of Joshua's face, and everyone's expression was calm.

"It's recovered well, but this eye. I remember that the left eye was injured. Why do I feel like both eyes are blind..."
