Operation Red Book

Joshua's gaze turned right and the medal cabinet in Morris' office lit up a light bulb in his mind.

"The most important place is the most conspicuous place, and the most dangerous place is the safest place..."

Joshua thought about this, he adjusted his glasses and looked closely at the entire wall of honor and photo frame.

"The photo frames with the children are covered in dust, but the trophy closer to the center is spotless. The gold cup that is visible at first glance, and the old photo in the middle..."

Clues appeared in Joshua's mind, and multiple thoughts merged into one, and the location of the account book gradually took shape in Joshua's mind.

Joshua touched his nose and walked over to the cabinet where Morris kept his medals.

He first squatted down and looked at the dusty photo, then pretended to be ignorant of the world and said to Dorian:

"Master, there is no Miss Grace in this photo."

"That photo was taken two years ago, and Grace came to our orphanage just one year ago."

Ms. Maggie said faintly, her cloudy grey eyes revealing unclear emotions.

"Be quiet, we still need to discuss the final procedures."

Dorian glanced at Joshua and leaned his whole body on the left armrest of the sofa.

Joshua slowly stood up, pretending to admire the medals in the cabinet, and slowly moved towards the photo of four people in the middle.

As expected, the wooden chassis of the photo frame has some subtle wear and tear, and there are obvious signs of handling on the tray.

Joshua continued to walk to the side, glancing at the back of the photo frame out of the corner of his eye.

He squinted his eyes and looked at it carefully. It took him a while to find the bulge in the corner and the shadow hidden in the lines.

"So that's how it is. It's hidden along the grain of the wood. If you don't look closely, it's hard to detect the space behind the cabinet."

Joshua tilted his chin and slowly moved back to Dorian's side.

"In that case, it's settled. I will come with my mother another day, and Mr. Morris must be present at that time."

Dorian gave a polite smile, stood up and bowed slightly to Ms. Maggie.

"As you wish, sir. Hmm? Where is Grace? Shouldn't I serve you tea?"

Ms. Maggie stood up shakily and lit a cigarette.

"It's getting late, so I'd better not stay for tea. I still have to go back and report today's situation to my mother. Please let Ms. Maggie lead the way."

Dorian gestured for her to come in, and when Maggie turned and walked away, Joshua took the opportunity to whisper in Dorian's ear, "There's a hidden button in the lower left corner of the photo of the four of us."

Joshua said and walked ahead, distracting Ms. Maggie's attention while trying his best to block her sight.

Dorian smiled and put his hands behind his back. A ball of green flame rose between his fingers and flew quickly towards the glass cabinet behind him, so fast that it left a green tail in the air.

Dorian walked forward slowly. A few seconds later, there was a slight sound behind him, and a thick white book with a green flame flew into Dorian's open hand.

Dorian smiled even more, and after he walked out the door, he bowed slightly to the old nun, and the white book in his hand fell into Joshua's sight.

Joshua seized the opportunity, and when the old nun nodded, he pulled the white book out of Dorian's hand and put it into his clothes.

The two men's movements were smooth and fluid, and did not arouse the old nun's suspicion at all.
