Operation Red Book

Chapter 104 A Meeting Under the Moonlight 1

There was a missing moon hanging in the sky, and clouds were floating and piling up in front of the moon, blocking half of the moonlight.

The obscured moon is like a deep well hidden among layers of rocks, lonely and broken.

Accompanying the crescent moon was Ivy, who once again stood on the rooftop of 211-B Baker Street.

The evening breeze on the rooftop was still noisy, and Ivy's black hair was blown up, leaving her hair messy in the wind.

There was no light in the house opposite, and the whole street was drowsy.

It was quiet late at night, and London fell into a deep sleep under the evening breeze. For Ivy, now was a perfect time.

She glanced down angrily. She couldn't see the bottom of the building, let alone the ground. All she could see was the white walls and the terrifying darkness.

"Like an endless abyss." Ivy whispered to herself.

The bottomless darkness deepened Ivy's fear. Sweat continued to seep from her forehead, her scalp began to numb, and her thoughts began to become confused.

"Maybe this isn't the best time? Maybe all living things in this world need sleep? Maybe this will bring death forward?"

Ivy's breathing became heavier, and she looked up at the hazy moon. The evening breeze blew across her hot cheeks, and endless sorrow swelled in her heart.

"Retreat or advance?"

Unable to reach any conclusion with the villain in her heart, Ivy had no choice but to squat down and use the shade to sort out her messy thoughts.

She hid in the shadows where the moonlight could not reach, and naturally thought that she was away from all sight.

I don't know how much time had passed, but Ivy just felt that the battle in her heart was getting more and more intense. Not only was there no winner, but it also seriously damaged her vitality.

Another thought suddenly popped up and slowly took over. Ivy's apple cheeks suddenly puffed up, and her eyes flashed with determination and certainty.

She stood up suddenly, and the strong wind blew fiercely on her cheeks, which made her feel a little painful.

Almost without hesitation, Ivy used the strength of her arms to flip her body over the railing, and rolled straight down with her eyes closed.

"Dorian! Dorian! Dorian! Help me, come and help me!"

At the moment of falling, this was the only thought in Ivy's mind.

The whistling wind in her ears, the feeling of falling rapidly, the weightlessness of her internal organs, and the instinct to grab onto something to support her, all made Ivy feel great fear.

"Hurry! Save me! Dorian!"

The inner voice was infinitely amplified, as if a loudspeaker was hiding in Ivy's ears.

Time seemed to be extended for no reason, and the two or three seconds of falling seemed to be as long as two or three months.

As the body falls, the ground becomes more and more solid.

Ivy's heart was beating wildly, bringing out the despair in her heart.

It seems that death is about to come, and this is the dark polar night before death.

Just as Ivy's back was about to touch the black ground of Baker Street, a gust of wind accompanied by the scent of roses blew Ivy's clothes.

Also attacking was a white figure, so fast and quick that Ivy could only see a trace of its afterimage with her naked eyes.

Ivy's outstretched hand was grabbed by someone, and the other hand covered her waist.

The man pulled Ivy up with force and then threw her into a warm embrace.

Her black hair was blown by the evening breeze, and some of it fell in front of Ivy's eyes, blocking her vision.

The feeling of no solid ground under her feet made her feel very insecure, and Ivy could only hold the man's neck tightly to gain the center of gravity of her body.

There is a crisp cool breeze at the tip of the nose, followed by a sweet and rich rose scent.

She wanted to move her body, but the man held her tightly, unable to move at all, making her feel suffocated and uncomfortable.

"Dorian? Is that you?" Ivy closed her eyes and tried to ask.

"Yes, it's me." A familiar voice and warm breath came from above her head, and Ivy's heart finally settled down.

Before she could even laugh out loud, the sharp pain in her waist slowly brought her back to reality.

"Can you please go up first? My waist hurts, and I feel dizzy."

The delayed feeling of dizziness suddenly blocked Ivy's throat. She almost couldn't breathe, and her voice became smaller and smaller.

The fainting feeling lasted until Dorian put her back on the roof. Strangely, Joshua and Holmes were already waiting at the edge of the roof.
