Hogwarts and the Atypical Wizard

Chapter 37 Professor Quirrell

This is interesting. Professor Quirrell taught Harry Defense Against the Dark Arts in his first year.

For well-known reasons, something went wrong in the Defense Against the Dark Arts class at Hogwarts.

Dumbledore explicitly stated that no one had been able to teach the subject for more than a year in decades.

In other words, according to Hagrid's words, Professor Quirrell should have started teaching the Defense Against the Dark Arts class, then suddenly stopped, and suddenly returned a year later, and then began to "be afraid of students and the subjects he taught."

Sainz thought about it and felt that this might be the case.

Quirrell actually started teaching in the 1991 school year. Before that, he may have taught Defense Against the Dark Arts for a short period of time at the end of the 1989 school year.

According to normal procedures, he should have continued to serve as the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts in the following 1990 academic year, but he did not. He chose to "take a leave of absence".

Later, at the end of the 1990 school year, he returned to Hogwarts to continue teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts. As a result, at this time, he began to "be afraid of students and the subject he taught."

In this way, there is a comparison between before and after, which allows Hagrid to say the comparative sentence, "He is like a completely different person. He is afraid of students and the subjects he teaches."

This was when Harry met Quirrell in July, and Hagrid said, "Harry, Professor Quirrell was one of your teachers at Hogwarts."

Obviously he knew for sure that Quirrell would be Harry's professor.

Of course, this doesn't prove anything. Maybe Dumbledore told Hagrid in advance, he trusted him so much.

After sorting out the timeline, Sainz felt that he had found the clue.

Although it was of no use, it solved a mystery: when Professor Quirrell met Harry for the first time, was Voldemort possessed?

It was obvious that he must have been possessed.

Otherwise he wouldn't have to stutter on purpose.

So why was he able to shake hands with Harry when he first met him, and why couldn't he touch Harry's skin at the end?

Isn't this contradictory?

Thinking of this, Sainz couldn't help laughing again.

He once again speculated that if the world he was in was also a book, the author must be scratching his head and trying to plug the loopholes in the original trajectory again! ! !

Novels or movies can have loopholes.

But in the real world, there must be a reasonable explanation!

How to explain it? Sainz thought about it again and again, and could only think that it was a problem of the degree of possession. At the beginning, Quirrell and Voldemort were not deeply connected, so he could shake hands with Harry. In the end, they had basically merged, so they could not touch Harry.

Or there is another explanation. When they shook hands for the first time, Quirrell's malice was not strong, so the magic of love was not activated. Later, Quirrell tried to kill Harry with malice, and the magic of love was triggered, so he could not touch Harry.

Or maybe it's a combination of both.

In his previous life, Sainz had the opinion that Quirrell taught Muggle Studies before, but he looked through the entire set of books and did not find any clues to support this argument.

There is also a view that Quirrell came into contact with Old Voldemort while traveling between the 1991-1992 school year, which is even more untenable.

Harry had already enrolled in the 1991 academic year, and he had a headache at the matriculation feast. Apparently, Voldemort was on the back of Quirrell's head at that time.

He could have met Lao Fu only before this, not after this.

What Sainz considered was whether he was possessed when he first came into contact with Harry, not at what time of the school year he was possessed!!

Does it make sense to think about this?

Have!

The significance of considering this question lies in whether Qi Luo was the one who took the initiative to contact Lao Fu or the one who was passively contacted by Lao Fu?

Quirrell was born in Ravenclaw and was said to be very smart and well-educated.

He "took a year off" to gain first-hand experimental experience.

Then there is his own experience: "He met a vampire in the Black Forest and a witch got him into a lot of trouble."

Did he lie about these experiences?

It is unknown, but one thing is certain, at least he didn’t tell the whole story!

At least he didn't ask for help after being possessed by Lao Fu!

Perhaps it can be explained this way: after he was possessed, he was no longer in control of himself and did not dare to ask for help, or his mind was controlled and he did not know how to ask for help.

However, there is still one thing that is not explained: why he was possessed.

After being hit by Harry's rebounded Melon-Eating Curse, Voldemort didn't dare to ask his men for help for more than ten years. He immediately hid himself after turning into a wandering spirit, which proved that he was actually very weak in this state.

He said it himself that he couldn't appear in front of the Aurors and could only possess some small animals. Snakes were the most suitable. However, possessing these animals would prevent him from casting spells and would shorten their lifespans.

From this, it can be confirmed that Quirrell was not forced to be possessed by Voldemort, but was actively invited by himself.

In this case, his death was his own fault and he was not worth saving. It was even less worth it for Sainz to go to the trouble of thinking to save a fool who was seeking his own death.

Whether he was an egomaniac who thought he could control Voldemort, or an ambitious man who wanted to become a Death Eater and follow Voldemort, his death was what he deserved and was not worth Sainz's attention.

In the original track, he said to Harry, "Wherever I go, he is with me"

It was Voldemort who pointed out his mistakes.

Lao Fu told him that there is no such thing as good or evil in the world, only rights.

Those who cannot gain power are incompetent...

From then on, Qi Luo served Lao Fu faithfully...

"He was very upset that I hadn't been able to steal the Philosopher's Stone from Gringotts.

He punished me... and decided to keep a closer eye on me from now on..."

From these words, it seems to prove that when Harry first met Quirrell, he seemed not to be possessed by Voldemort. Later that day, Quirrell failed to steal the Philosopher's Stone in Gringotts. Voldemort was disappointed with him and possessed him, preparing to monitor him more closely...

This does better explain why they were able to shake hands when they first met, because he was not possessed at that time.

However, these words further prove that he worked for Voldemort before he was possessed.

So, Qi Luo, you deserved to die and don't deserve sympathy.

After realizing this, Sainz felt relieved.

In the past, there was a view that Quirrell was a fighter who silently resisted Voldemort. After being possessed, he led Voldemort step by step to Dumbledore, and finally sacrificed himself to give Voldemort a heavy blow...

After sorting it out, Sainz said, nonsense!

Don't move yourself!

He is just an ambitious man who wants to be a Death Eater but fails. He is not only arrogant, but also stupid!
