Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy
Chapter 70 The Truth About Hagrid
After Harry gave a positive response, the diary pages flipped and stopped at the page of June 13th.
There was a flash of light, and before Harry could react he was sucked into the whirlpool of light and shadow.
I saw that sixteen-year-old Tom Riddle was also worried about the Chamber of Secrets.
When Riddle and young Dumbledore met unexpectedly in the corridor, Dumbledore looked at him with caution and suspicion.
See Riddle and Hagrid arguing.
With Hagrid's roar still echoing in his mind, the light and shadow disappeared, and Harry found himself lying limply on the bed.
My stomach cramped.
Hagrid is indeed a good person to blame.
If Draco and I had not already had a certain understanding of the diary, we might have mistakenly believed Riddle's memory.
To make matters worse, Hagrid was still here.
Anyone who has experienced the last attack on the Chamber of Secrets might think that it was Hagrid again.
"Harry, are you there? Hermione is looking for you, she seems very upset..."
"Harry! Are you okay?"
Ron had just stepped into the dormitory and saw Harry's sad face, so he changed his words worriedly.
Harry sat up, feeling a mixture of anger and fear.
"If I say that Hagrid was the one who opened the Chamber of Secrets last time, would you believe it?"
asked Ron hypothetically.
Ron was a little stunned by the unexpected question and glanced at the diary on Harry's body.
"Did the diary tell you? Have you solved the secret of the diary?"
Harry nodded. Indeed, that was what the diary claimed.
"Come to think of it, it's very possible that Hagrid did raise some dangerous creature and accidentally released it..."
Ron shuddered as he recalled last year's madness when the owner of the cabin almost raised a dragon.
"Perhaps. But even if Hagrid really did accidentally release a dangerous creature fifty years ago,"
"Could he be careless again after fifty years?"
"No matter what, this attack was obviously planned by someone."
Harry explained his idea to Ron, and Ron agreed.
"Indeed, Hagrid would never intentionally hurt anyone."
Looking at Ron, Harry was glad that his best friend was also a loyal comrade.
He jumped out of bed, grabbed the invisibility cloak, and hastily stuffed the diary into the pile of miscellaneous items on the desk.
"I will go with you."
Ron didn't ask and started to put on his jumper.
It seemed that he had understood Harry's thoughts long ago.
"Thanks!"
Harry laughed out loud and couldn't help wondering if Pansy, Daphne and Draco also had such a tacit understanding.
"I'm going to go find Hagrid. Go warn him about this."
He said as he waited for Ron to put on his pullover.
We also need to confirm with Hagrid whether there has been a large number of mysterious deaths of roosters recently.
"Then, if possible, I'd like to try and see if I can meet Malfoy."
With a snap, Ron, who had been struggling to put on his collar with his hands raised high, heard Harry's words and accidentally used too much force, causing the sweater to tear under his armpits.
"Why are you disturbing me?"
The collar was still on top of his head, and Ron's muffled voice could be heard through the wool.
"Don't you think she might know something? I didn't get it last time, maybe we can try again this time."
Suddenly I realized that telling Ron directly that I wanted to find Draco might not be a good decision, so I had to explain quickly.
"Besides, don't you also want to help Ginny get justice?"
This gave me a good reason. Although it won't be easy afterwards...
Finally, with his face flushed and his neck thick enough to poke out of his collar, Ron nodded in agreement. "Yes, tell her to stay away from Ginny."
-
Before the two of them could even walk out of the dormitory, Hermione had already rushed in, dragging Ginny with her.
""Hey!""
"You really shouldn't just come here!"
"Boys have privacy too, okay?"
Harry and Ron protested loudly.
Hermione waved her hand, obviously not caring much about their opinions.
Ginny's freckled face flushed.
I was somewhat excited and nervous about the chance to take a peek into Harry's dorm.
Before the two could even start the next round of complaints, Hermione started to lecture Harry as if she were possessed by Professor McGonagall.
"You could at least thank them properly, Harry!"
"Where on earth did you go this afternoon..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Hermione scowled when she noticed that the two men had changed their clothes and seemed to be preparing to sneak out of the hall.
"Where do you want to go?"
"Harry wants to go find Hagrid, and Malfoy."
Facing Hermione's livid face, Ron fearfully told her their itinerary.
Don't forget to emphasize that it was Harry's idea.
Hermione raised her eyebrows when she heard that Harry wanted to go find Malfoy again.
Harry glared at Ron.
Watching him imitate Banban's eyes that were trying to look innocent, I tried hard to suppress the urge to beat someone up.
Looking at Hermione staring at him, Harry suddenly felt scared too.
"It's...it's about the diary!"
"Isn't that Tom Riddle a Slytherin student?"
"I guess... maybe... possibly... Malfoy would know something..."
Hearing Hermione's toes tapping impatiently, Harry gradually lost the courage to speak.
Ginny, who didn't notice Hermione behind her, turned pale when she heard that Harry wanted to go find Draco.
"Even if she did know something, do you think she would tell you?"
"Well, go ahead if you want. But don't come back and complain if you get cursed again!"
"Ginny, let's go."
Hermione seemed really angry and turned and pulled Ginny away, ending the farce inexplicably.
After the two left, Harry sighed and prepared to put on his cloak.
"Should we... go and apologize to them..."
I noticed that Ron was still shaking.
"Let's talk about it when we get back. First, we need to find Hagrid."
As he said this, he and Ron hid under the cloak and walked towards the exit of the hall.
-
As always, the two of them slipped to the door of Hagrid's cabin in their cloaks.
On the night between winter and spring, the damp and cold air turns into thick fog that invades people.
Harry and Ron took off their cloaks and knocked on the wooden door, hoping that Hagrid would let them in to keep warm as soon as possible.
Fortunately, Hagrid didn't keep the two waiting too long.
As they entered the cabin, Harry caught a glimpse of a crossbow placed by the door.
Hagrid seemed to be on guard against something.
Harry started talking before the two of them even sat down.
"Hagrid, have any roosters died inexplicably on the ranch recently?"
Hagrid thought back in amazement as he bent over to pour tea for them.
Harry noticed that his scraggly beard had become much greyer.
"That's not the case. What's the matter?"
The answer made Harry's heart sink.
Isn't that a basilisk in the chamber of secrets?
Or, is the basilisk in the secret room a special species that is not afraid of the crowing of the rooster?
There was a clang, followed by Hagrid's curse of "Damn it".
He spilled the hot water, scalding his hand that was holding the cup. His hand loosened and the cup smashed to pieces on the ground.
"Is it okay!"
Ron stood up quickly, took a towel from the table and handed it to Hagrid, while Harry used a spell to repair the teacup.
"Don't worry, Hagrid. We know what happened fifty years ago, and we know you've been misunderstood."
Harry patted Hagrid on the back.
For some reason, I always felt that Hagrid must be worried about this.
"Yes, so Harry and I decided to remind you that someone might want to cause trouble for you soon."
Ron continued.
Hagrid heard this and stared at Harry and Ron blankly.
Tears welled up in his eyes, which were filled with the blood of giants, and he wiped them away with the back of his thick hand.
Although the warnings from the two did not provide much practical help, they at least brought comfort to their hearts, which had not been at peace since the first attack.
After making sure Hagrid was okay, Harry and Ron chatted with Hagrid for the first time in a long time.
It was a little too late, and after discussion, they decided that Harry would have the opportunity to talk to Draco the next day.
Hiding in the invisibility cloak, he returned to the hall and found Hermione reading a book by the fire.
It was decided that Harry should go upstairs and put away the cloak first, while the anxious Ron would test whether Hermione had calmed down.
