Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy

Chapter 64 Secret Practice Class

In Severus' office, a small space had been cleared where the armchair had been.

After motioning Draco to take his place, the Head of Slytherin spoke slowly.

"Are you ready? This will be hard, but I believe it will be very helpful."

Draco nodded, and stretched his right hand to his waist before hesitatingly stopping.

Not sure what Severus was going to teach him, he could only stop and look at the father-like man.

"Very good, Draco."

"You won't need it for this class's training."

He showed a gentle smile and approval that he would only show in front of a girl.

"Remember, Draco, the wand is only a guide."

"Not all magic requires a wand."

"Some of the most powerful magics have a basis that does not even require a medium."

Draco nodded and listened attentively.

"I hope you can slowly practice in your life, focus your mind and put aside your emotions."

Draco heard this and looked at Snape in confusion.

I don't fully understand what the point of doing this is.

"Will this... be more effective in resisting the control of magic?"

I asked this question uncertainly, feeling vaguely that this might be related to the mystery in the diary.

Severus smiled again, obviously very satisfied with his performance.

"No guarantees. But getting in the habit of focusing and not showing emotion will always help."

He certainly didn't expect this to have any immediate effect on Draco.

After all, Occlumency is a sophisticated magic that is far beyond the capabilities of one's age.

Draco's spiritual world is still too naive, and it is impossible for him to completely resist the advanced Heartbreaker.

But if you start practicing from this age, you will eventually become proficient in it.

Or at least, if she could learn a few tricks, maybe she could better understand how to protect herself.

Whether now or in the future.

Besides, what Draco has to deal with now is that person’s diary.

But judging from the fact that the diary must rely on a medium to act, the person in the diary is far from being as powerful as the Dark Lord.

The dark figure was in deep thought, watching Draco with his eyes closed.

She seems to be trying to concentrate. Her overlapping eyelashes make her look even longer.

Snape nodded with satisfaction and recited the spell silently in his mind.

Suddenly, Draco seemed to be pulled into another world.

Seeing himself on the Hogwarts Express, he tried to show kindness to Harry Potter, but was rejected outright.

He saw Harry Potter riding on a broom, rising at an astonishing speed and rushing towards him.

Seeing Harry collapse in the Forbidden Forest with a splitting headache, he stood in front of him, enduring the fear.

Seeing the pure malice with blood at the corner of his mouth.

A chill ran down my spine, and I thought of Severus' words, trying to clear my mind of distracting thoughts.

But I found this extremely difficult.

Memories from school to now, mixed with emotions, come back one after another—

Whether it was the humiliation of being rejected for trying to help Harry understand the wizarding world better last year, or the regret of accidentally hurting Pansy this year, or the panic of discovering that she might have been controlled to open the Chamber of Secrets.

I bit my lip unconsciously.

Since you can't control your emotions, why not try to change your thoughts?

I began to concentrate my attention, focusing on the memories that emerged in my mind.

I don’t know how long it took, the world of consciousness disappeared, and my thoughts suddenly returned to the cellar.

My legs felt sore and weak all over, and before I knew it, I fell into the armchair in front of me.

A lot of cold sweat appeared on his hands and forehead, and he seemed to see some surprise in Severus' eyes.

Draco was not wrong.

After using Legilimency to enter Draco's mind, everything was as Snape expected.

He easily entered and explored the thoughts and memories he wanted to know.

Then, unexpectedly, he felt her trying to resist his strength by controlling her emotions.

Although weak, the spirit of resistance is clearly visible.

What surprised Snape even more was Draco's choice after he discovered that resistance was ineffective.

She concentrated her mind and successfully diverted the emotions and thoughts being explored.

Let her see only what she is willing to realize.

For example, at the end of the first year, she was in the level she had set, waiting for the opportunity to move forward and rescue Harry.

An unorthodox way to resist Legilimency.

Perhaps, Draco has a talent for mind and spiritual magic that is just as great as his own.

Thinking of this, a smile appeared on Snape's face.

"For a first time, you did very, very well."

After receiving the affirmation, Draco's slightly tired face lit up.

“You can practice this at any time. Remember, the key is to focus. Blocking out your emotions is just a supplement.”

Draco nodded, stood up, said goodbye to Snape and walked out of the cellar.
