Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy

Chapter 38 Is he really a playboy? Celebrity Potter!

The accident that happened to Borgin and Burke forced them to blush and look away when they met again in Flourish and Blotts.

Draco originally wanted to turn around and leave the bookstore, waiting for Harry, who was reunited with the Weasleys and Granger, to leave before visiting again.

But I found that the bookstore was crowded with people and it was difficult to move, so I had to give up.

The staff at Flourish and Blotts are too busy trying to maintain order as the store is filled with posters of a certain wizard.

The crowds seemed to have come for the wizard named Gilderoy Lockhart.

The man in the poster was wearing extravagant clothes, a shiny robe and an overly flamboyant ruffled collar, which made Draco smile.

Her blonde hair was slicked back with too much styling product, making it look shiny, and she occasionally showed a smile that deliberately highlighted her white teeth.

Draco raised his eyebrows, suppressing his discomfort and being curious.

The new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, what kind of vulgar person would be so obsessed with this weird man?

"Hey!"

As I was thinking this, I suddenly felt a pain and my body was bumped by a figure coming from behind.

Draco frowned unhappily, and was about to remind the other party that the daughter of the Malfoy family should not be bumped so easily.

But suddenly I realized that such a warning was almost equivalent to hysteria in a crowded crowd.

Rather than being annoyed, I am more reluctant to lose my composure.

Besides, somehow, Harry's warning flashed through his mind more than once -

"You are very nice sometimes."

Thinking of Harry, he recalled the encounter not long ago, and his face became hot with embarrassment again.

I had no choice but to struggle through the crowd and hide on the mezzanine of the split-level bookcase, only then could I get a little space to catch my breath.

Sighed softly.

Perhaps, I should have accompanied my father to Gringotts.

Just as he finished sighing, a series of piercing screams came from the crowd downstairs.

Draco could only raise his eyebrows in discomfort and cover his ears with his hands.

I guess it's that Lockhart who has appeared.

The long table for the book signing event was right below the bookshelf where he was standing, so he didn't notice the culprit.

Of course, Draco had no interest in Lockhart's appearance.

I was just bored, leaning my hands on the wooden railing and staring at the entrance of the bookstore.

I secretly pray that this farce will end soon.

As a result, he didn't notice that Harry downstairs was looking up at him.

He was so absorbed in watching that he was knocked down by a reporter from the Daily Prophet.

"Don't block the way! This is a photo that will be published in the Daily Prophet!"

A short, fat reporter wizard yelled, bringing Draco back to his senses.

I also saw Harry being knocked to the ground and Ron complaining.

The two seemed to complain about something.

Before Draco could hear clearly, a wizard in a forget-me-not blue velvet robe appeared in front of him.

Draco was still wondering how someone could wear such an elegant color in such a vulgar way.

The wizard was already shouting triumphantly at a deafening volume.

"Could this be Harry Potter?"

He grabbed Harry and put his arm around his shoulders triumphantly.

"Smile sweeter, Harry!"

"The two of us together can definitely make the front page!"

Harry tried to escape in embarrassment, but Lockhart held on to him tightly.

Looking at Harry's appearance, Draco couldn't help but take out his folding fan and put it in front of his lips to hide his smile.

But Lockhart's next words made her look surprised.

"Ladies and gentlemen! This is a rare opportunity. I would like to announce a piece of good news that has never been made public!"

"Soon, Harry and his classmates will get the real 'Amazing Me'!"

"Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I hereby declare with joy and honor—"

"I will take over the position of Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!"

Lockhart laughed exaggeratedly, and the wizards present also laughed ambiguously.

But Harry and Draco simply exchanged a quick look, confirming that they were thinking the same thing.

Dumbledore is mad.

Lockhart was soon overwhelmed by the crowd coming up to congratulate him.

Harry was also thrown aside and struggled to escape to the store door.

Draco smiled, walked down the escalator, and stopped at the round platform on the two steps.

Harry had already emerged from the crowd and was looking at himself in annoyance.

-

"Don't smile so smugly!"

"Be careful and I'll tell Lockhart that Miss Malfoy is here too. This way there'll be one more celebrity to take pictures with."

Harry bent over awkwardly, half-raising his head and complaining at Draco's smile.

Draco smiled even more happily, and spoke with pretended innocence.

"I'm just a little girl passing by, who would notice me?"

The teasing tone made Harry open his mouth for a moment.

He looked foolishly at the girl in front of him who was always cold and aloof, and showed a rare playful look.

"Besides, I'm not like you, who likes to be the center of attention wherever you go, am I, Celebrity Potter?"

Seeing Harry in a daze, Draco proudly pursued his opponent without noticing that the Weasley children had also left the crowd.

"The famous Harry Potter, even walked into a bookstore and bought a small book,"

"And this has to become a headline news."

Just as he finished speaking, a sharp and straightforward female voice came.

"Don't bother him! He didn't ask for this!"

A little girl with short hair and two hairpins on her bangs rushed out and put her hands in front of Harry.

His hair was bright red, his complexion was healthy and slightly freckled, and he was obviously another Weasley.

Draco was startled and immediately glared at Harry.

I noticed that he also looked a little surprised and was staring at the girl intently.

For no apparent reason, a cold anger rose in my heart.

"Potter."

As the stern tone came out, the smile in his eyes had already turned into contempt.

Harry's stomach twitched reflexively, and he felt a sense of fear for no apparent reason.

Looking at Draco, his eyes were enough to bring the atmosphere around him to freezing point.

"It's only been one summer and you found yourself a new girlfriend."

"What should I say? You are truly worthy of being called the famous Potter."

Ginny's face had already turned red under Draco's icy sarcasm, so Harry had no choice but to speak.

"I...I didn't...she...she wasn't..."

But I don't know why, I just stammered and couldn't speak a complete sentence.

Draco's eyes narrowed even tighter, and a dark cloud seemed to cover his face.

"Miss, I don't have time to listen to your explanation, Potter."

He said this coldly and was about to walk down the stairs when he heard Ron interrupt angrily.

"Malfoy! What are you doing! Don't bully Ginny!"

Draco was furious, and being framed by Ron for no apparent reason only made him even more unhappy.

"Didn't your parents teach you not to meddle in matters you knew nothing about, Weasley?"

He glared at Ron, causing both Ron and Ginny to roar at the same time, and Harry also stepped forward angrily.

"That's too much to say, Malfoy."

Draco looked in disbelief at the culprit who seemed to be speaking up for justice, and glared at Harry fiercely.

Before I could fight back, a gentle voice came.

"Ron! Ginny! What are you doing?"

"There's no need for this, let's go outside."

A middle-aged wizard came over, obviously Mr. Weasley.

He was just about to take his children out when the bookstore doorbell rang and Lucius's dark figure flashed in.

"Draco, not yet—oh?!"

"Arthur Weasley, and Harry Potter."

After seeing the Weasleys and Harry, Lucius slowed down his search for Draco.

The tone was lazy and cold, and he greeted her slowly.

He walked forward, gently pushed aside Harry's bangs with his cane with a sterling silver head, and spoke in a threatening tone.

"So, this is your legendary scar?"

"Like the wizard who gave you your scar."

Draco had never seen his father speak like this.

It seemed that the head of the Malfoy family had, for some reason, made up his mind to intimidate Harry.

"Voldemort killed my parents."

“He’s definitely not a legend.”

Harry responded firmly.

Draco clearly realized that everyone present, including his father and himself,

They all visibly flinched when they heard the Dark Lord's name.

"Humph."

His father merely snorted at Harry's courage in addressing the Dark Lord by his name.

Then, to Draco's surprise, his father rudely reached into Harry's backpack and pulled out the complete Lockhart collection he had just bought.

"You dare to address the Dark Lord by his name, don't you, Potter?"

"I guess you think you are the most powerful wizard."

What was even more bizarre was that he actually picked up the book, bent down slightly, and looked at it carefully.

"Wandering with Demons, Walking with Trolls?"

"You definitely don't take this kind of clown book seriously, do you?"

"Perhaps, as a school director, I should recommend you as the new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Potter."

After saying that, he sneered and stuffed the book back into Harry's backpack.

"Come on, Draco. There's no need to spend any more time with these people."

His father turned and called to Draco, while at the same time speaking to Mr. Weasley.

"That one over there, is that Miss Granger? A descendant of Muggles?"

"I never thought that you could still let the Weasley family sink to such a low point."

Mr. Weasley just smiled kindly and responded politely, but his eyes were extremely serious.

"I think we have very different views on falling, Lucius."

"See you at work."

Perhaps it was Mr. Weasley's hidden meaning that touched Lucius' heartstrings.

My father actually took a deep breath before responding angrily.

"That only requires you to come to my floor, Arthur."

With that, he glanced at Draco and walked out of the store.

His father's mysterious behavior had already distracted Draco from his anger.

Until Harry stepped forward, scratching his head.

"See you at school, Malfoy."

"No."

He immediately recalled the way Harry hesitated when Ginny stood in front of him.

Her pretty face instantly turned red with anger, she retorted angrily, shook her head, her long golden hair fluttering, and pushed open the door.

-

After returning to Malfoy Manor, his father only told him to go to bed early and then hid in the study.

He was unwilling to explain what had happened that led to his disorderly behavior in the bookstore.

The mother kept looking at the father meaningfully, but didn't say much.

Even Dobby was nowhere to be seen the entire evening except for a brief appearance when dinner was served and cleared away.

It was not until bedtime that Dobby appeared in front of him and made the bed.

It was only then that I discovered that Dobby's left hand was bandaged.

"More than!"

He shouted in a low and harsh voice, fearing to disturb his parents, and when Dobby turned around, his eyes were already full of tears.

"Little... little master..."

"I told you not to punish yourself!"

"you-"

Before he could blame her, Dobby burst into tears.

Fortunately, Draco covered his mouth in time, so the miserable cry did not echo throughout the boudoir.

"Compare more...compare more...I'm sorry, little...little master..."

"But, but Dobby must...must...protect the little...little master...!"

"My master's good...friend said that taking...adventure...is the best protection!!!!!!"

Dobby's collapse left Draco with nothing to do but to comfort him in panic amid Dobby's tight-lipped explanation.

Finally, after midnight, Dobby regained some composure.

Draco was left with a lot of doubts as he faced the morning when he had to catch the express train.
