Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy

Chapter 37 What a disgrace!

The next morning, Dobby looked a little depressed again.

Although Draco was worried, he didn't want to ask any more questions.

This was the tacit understanding between her and Dobby, and due to her status as a rich girl, it was the highest respect she could give to an elf who was born to serve wizards.

Even though he and Dobby had been playmates since childhood, Draco himself understood that allowing Dobby to be free was something that the Malfoy family, as traditional models of the wizarding world, would never do.

The only thing that could be given to him was the dignity of allowing Dobby to have privacy and freedom to express his opinions in private.

"School starts tomorrow."

"I will be in Diagon Alley with my father during the day today. You can go wherever you want."

"This is an order from the young master of the Malfoy family."

Draco whispered as he watched Dobby tighten the belt around his clothes, winking at him.

I thought I would get a mischievous look from Dobby in response, but when he looked up, I found that his eyes were full of tears and he didn't say a word.

Draco frowned, and managed to suppress the urge to order Dobby to tell the truth.

She sighed softly and looked at the white and red short dress swaying in the full-length mirror with satisfaction.

The loose French low neckline paired with a black silk belt adds a touch of maturity to the delicate face that has not yet lost its childishness.

He smiled with satisfaction and put on a thin windbreaker.

It is almost late summer, and it is also the time when it feels a little cool when the wind blows in the shade.

When I was about to go downstairs to the living room, I found that my father had changed into his silver-black robe for going out and was waiting for me in front of the spacious stone steps of the house.

When we arrived at the gate of the manor, my father raised his right hand like a gentleman, indicating that I should put my arm around his forearm.

"Today, I have to visit an old friend first."

"After discussing this with your mother, we both feel that it is time to take you to see—"

"Master Malfoy, there is work that must be done."

As his father spoke, Draco looked up curiously, his bright eyes shining in the morning sun.

Looking at his daughter's extraordinary appearance, Lucius smiled gently and proudly, lowered his head slightly, and kissed his daughter's hair.

Then, Lucius pointed his wand, and the father and daughter appeared in a dark alley in an instant.

At the front of the alley are crooked, narrow glass windows and dilapidated shop doors.

The door handle was mottled and the doorplate was old, with the name of the store "Borgin and Burke's" written on it.

Lucius turned and looked at Draco, speaking calmly.

"Wait until Dad leaves before opening the door and entering."

"Today, only Dad can enter the main store."

Draco looked at his father in confusion and Lucius smiled.

"One day, you'll know what this means."

"Remember what Dad is going to do next, okay?"

Draco nodded and watched as Lucius drew his wand and tapped the door handle seven times in a steady rhythm while muttering a spell.

Draco looked at his father's expectant expression in confusion, but there was no change at the door of the shop.

But then, my father took a few steps forward, without even opening the door of the shop, and disappeared inexplicably from my sight.

It was as if in my father's eyes, there was another magical space.

Draco shook his head and tentatively reached out to the mottled door handle, gently turning it and listening to the groaning of the old brass lock.

It seemed that the shop in front of him was operating as usual.

I had no choice but to endure the confusion and go in. As soon as I entered the store, a short but well-dressed wizard came up to me.

"Miss Malfoy!"

"We finally meet! I'm Mr. Borgin."

Perhaps seeing the alert look on his face, Mr. Borgin hastened to explain.

"You must not remember me, don't be nervous!"

"Mr. Bok and I gave you a gift when you were just born."

"Mr. Malfoy is discussing something with Mr. Burke. I will go and inform him that you are waiting in the store."

"Please help yourself!"

Mr. Borgin said this, turning nimbly in the small shop and walking behind the counter.

Draco was distracted and Mr. Borgin suddenly disappeared in the long mirror.

All these strange things made Draco curious.

He turned around and looked carefully at the messy displays in the shop.

The cabinets, which had long been deformed by the weight, were filled with rows of skulls.

The walls with cracked and yellowed wallpaper are hung with strange rune jewelry.

I knew this was a well-known store selling black magic props, but I still frowned because of the taste of the display and furnishings.

I don’t understand what my father meant by “authentic store”, I can only guess that there may be some secrets in the store.

He thought to himself that a shop with such a prominent reputation and a relationship with the Malfoy family for generations could not be so shabby.

-

While waiting for my father, I wandered around the store.

The only thing that attracted attention was a withered human hand specimen with the mark "Hand of Light" written on it.

It is a cat's eye necklace placed in the corner, tightly surrounded by invisible spells.

It seemed that it always made a slight hissing sound when I approached.

But before Draco could take a closer look at the necklace, he saw it on the back of a cupboard not far behind her.

There were clanging sounds of something rolling down, and someone was coughing uncontrollably.

Draco hurried to the back of the cupboard and found that the ashes from the fireplace were scattered all over the floor.

The air was incredibly turbid, so I quickly pulled out my folding fan and covered my mouth and nose with it.

But what shocked her even more was that she was sitting in the ashes like an innocent child.

A figure with glasses askew, completely black, and coughing non-stop.

The curly hair was sticking sideways as if it had been blown to pieces, and the cracked mirror surface and disheveled face could not hide the green eyes.

Of course, there is also the eye-catching lightning mark on the forehead.

“Ahem…yes…yes…ah…who is it…?”

The boy, who had fallen to the ground, kept asking while coughing.

Draco was simply shocked by the scene before him.

Unconsciously, Draco had crouched down subconsciously.

He held the boy's glasses carefully in his left hand and raised his wand in his right.

"Thanks... ahem... thank you..."

"Don't make any noise."

"Restored to its original state, mirror-like finish." (Occulus Reparo)

The crisp words came out softly, and the spell repaired the lens at the same time.

Harry suddenly seemed to recognize something, as if struck by lightning, and stopped brushing the dust away from the corners of his eyes.

As Harry struggled to open his eyes, Draco came forward and handed the repaired glasses to Harry's eyebrows.

His eyes penetrated the lenses and looked into Draco's clear silver-gray pupils.

“‘…………’”

They were both stunned for a long while, and saw their own frightened looks in each other's eyes.

Of course, Draco's expression showed a hint of deep regret of "What did I do?"

But it was Harry who came to his senses first, swallowed, and spoke hoarsely.

"D…uh…Ma…Malfoy?"

Meanwhile, Draco's face was already flushed.

As far as Harry could see, her flawless white jade face, neck, and collarbone exposed at the collar were all dyed red.

Only then did she notice Draco's dress, which made her look even more beautiful and charming.

But because of this, Harry shyly tried to look away, but his eyes were as if they were under a petrifying spell and could not move.

Then, seeing Draco's pretty face flushed and his cheeks puffed up, Harry felt a sharp pain in his nose.

"what!!!"

As Draco pushed his glasses up Harry's nose in a coquettish manner, Harry let out a low scream.

When I looked up while covering my nose, Draco had already stood up quickly, shaking his hair and hiding at the other end of the cupboard.

Then, she lowered her voice and gave the order in a tender voice with anger.

"Get out of here, Miss!"

"It's not right for a great Harry Potter to hide in Knockturn Alley."
