Different World Card Fight

Chapter 208: Maitreya Pure Land

Wang Su stepped forward. His realm was now considered the highest, so naturally he would be the one to fight with Maitreya Buddha.

The Chaos Warrior also followed Wang Su to meet the enemy, and the opponent he chose was Weituotian, the guardian god beside Maitreya Buddha.

As for the dragon knight Gaia, he faced off against the Western King of Guangmu, who was known as the leader of all dragons and was named Mo Lishou.

The others are three eight-star elves that originally belonged to Buddhism, the Blue Lion, the White Elephant and the Bodhi Tree Man.

The Green Lion is facing off against the Southern Heavenly King Mo Liqing who is holding the Qingyun Sword.

The White Elephant is facing off against Mo Li Hai, the Eastern Heavenly King who is holding the Hunyuan Umbrella.

The last Bodhi tree man also stood up and stopped the Eastern Heavenly King Mo Li Hai who was holding a jade pipa.

The war has begun. Let's not talk about the battle scene first, but let's talk about the fight between everyone. Although it is mainly for competition and testing, the momentum will naturally not be small when the fight starts.

However, even though everyone was fighting, the entire Heavenly King Palace remained motionless and was not affected by the battle at all.

It seems that the buildings in this world will not be affected by the battle or the situation of this Heavenly King Palace is special?

However, the previous battles in the mountain strongholds or near the city did not cause such a big fluctuation. Therefore, they did not notice this at that time.

Of course, to be honest, this was also their first time fighting inside a building.

Let’s put this question aside for now and talk about the battle scene.

Wang Su repeated his old trick and evolved the Confucian school. It would be more accurate to say that the two sides were communicating rather than learning from each other.

After all, although the Bodhi tree man was powerful, he was only assisting Sakyamuni in attaining enlightenment. He himself had only learned the Buddhist principles from Sakyamuni, but there were still some shortcomings in his own practice.

But Maitreya Buddha is different. He can be regarded as a figure on the same level as Buddha. Although he may only be related to Buddha, he has a rudimentary form of his own principles.

Jiang Jun's gaze naturally focused here first. Maitreya Buddha still had a smile on his face and was chanting scriptures.

In an instant, Maitreya Buddha's tongue really blossomed into a lotus, and deep blue and purple scriptures also appeared in the void, but they did not turn into words of truth, but condensed into solemn lotus flowers, dancing in the sky.

Such a scene can indeed be described as extravagant.

This is not all. The lotus flowers flying in the sky are no longer directly expressing the sect’s scriptures, but the realm of evolution.

The lotus dancing in the sky is illusory and disappears, endlessly, as if floating between illusion and reality.

Gradually, everyone discovered that the lotus kept flying in the air, and a vivid image appeared in the void. It was unknown whether Maitreya Buddha was using this to express his truth. Gradually, the scene in the picture became clear. There were elderly people who were enjoying their old age, young people who were happy and healthy, and even carefree children. Many ordinary people were living a healthy and happy life, as if

There is almost no suffering such as birth, aging, sickness and death.

Next to them, there were novices, monks, and others who were devoted to practice. It seemed that this was really the legendary paradise, without the eight sufferings of birth, old age, sickness, death, meeting with those we hate, separation from those we love, failure to obtain what we desire, and the burning of the five aggregates.

When I attain Buddhahood, I wish that all sentient beings in the ten directions who hear my name, even for a moment, will be followed by my incarnation for the rest of their lives, using all kinds of skillful means to save and transform them, until they never regress on the path to Buddhahood.

I wish that when I attain Buddhahood, all sentient beings in the ten directions who hear my name, even for just a moment, will have their sins eliminated at the fastest speed, no matter if they have committed the five heinous crimes of slandering the Buddha, the Dharma, or the Sangha, or the ten unwholesome deeds, just like dust being blown away by a strong wind.

When I become a Buddha...

………………

Then, the scroll unfolded, and it turned into a virtual world that appeared around Maitreya Buddha. At the same time, the sound of Zen chanting came from the void. Looking at Maitreya Buddha again, he looked even more majestic. Behind him, a huge tree appeared out of thin air. The trunk of the tree was similar to that of ironwood, smooth and upright. The leaves were oblong, with pointed and drooping tips, the petals were pure white, and the fruits were as big as walnuts.

Its flower branches are like dragon heads, and its tree branches are like precious dragons. It is said to be the tree under which Maitreya Buddha will attain enlightenment in the future, just like the Bodhi tree is to Sakyamuni Buddha.

Maitreya Buddha is majestic, with nine layers of halos on his head shining brightly, and the fragrant white lotus under his seat is radiant. The dragon flower tree behind him is swaying, further highlighting this peaceful world. The figures of Buddhist venerable bodhisattvas appear beside him, and the bodhisattvas of the Lotus Forest and the Great Wonderful Appearance on both sides gather in the void. There are also great bodhisattvas from other places and ancient virtuous people who have vowed to be reborn in the Pure Land, among whom are Ananda, Jiexian, and others.

Master, Master Daoan, Master Fayu, Master Xuanzang, Master Kuiji, Bodhisattva Asanga, and Bodhisattva Vasubandhu.

These are the great powers of Buddhism's great vows and great awakening. Naturally, it is impossible for their real bodies to be in this place. I think they should be the powerful phantoms condensed by Maitreya Buddha.

"This is the Pure Land of Maitreya, the main deity. The Pure Land refers to the pure land and the solemn land. It is also the solemn place where pure merits are. It is the result of the great vows made by the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas in the causal realm to save all sentient beings."

Maitreya Buddha laughed and said, "In fact, the sentient beings here embody the direction of my pursuit of philosophy. All we Buddhists seek in our lives is to have a pure land and bliss everywhere in the world!"

Jiang Jun was shocked. In his previous life, Jiang Jun had read quite a few ancient novels, and he had deep feelings about some of the issues in Buddhism.

Regardless of the shameless descriptions of the Buddhists such as Zhunti and Dipankara in many prehistoric novels, they generally like to say that Taoism suppresses Buddhism.

However, if we really look at it from the perspective of ordinary people, let's not talk about other sects among the Hundred Schools of Thought, let's just talk about the Taoist sect. Have they really paid attention to the people? I'm afraid no one dares to say this, right? Will they pay attention to the lives of ordinary people? Not to mention improving people's livelihood. I think the ones who really contributed to the development of the human race are the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors and other human leaders who have been passed down for thousands of years. These things seem to have nothing to do with Taoism.

The relationship is not close. But in terms of Buddhism, their goal is to build a real paradise. No matter if the so-called strong think that paradise is impossible to achieve, or think that paradise is a cage that restricts the strong. But from

From the perspective of civilians, the Pure Land is undoubtedly suitable for their survival, which is equivalent to the current minimum living security.

As the saying goes, what is worrying is not the lack of wealth but the inequality of wealth. When there is a difference in class, there will be all kinds of contradictions. However, in the Pure Land, monks, Dharma protectors, and kalans still have privileges different from those of ordinary people, but it is hard to say what these are.

But, no matter what, compared to the high and mighty Taoist gods, of course, mainly Yuanshi Tianzun and others, they basically ignore the common people. With their status, it is impossible for them to look at the common people on an equal footing.

Of course, we don’t talk about the legends such as Laozi going west through Hangu Pass or becoming the emperor’s teacher.

On the other hand, let’s not talk about cutting flesh to feed eagles, but there are also many Buddhas who incarnate as ordinary people or something like that to save all living beings.

Apart from other things, the Maitreya Buddha in front of us has a well-known incarnation in the folk called Budai Monk. There is also Jigong, the incarnation of the Dragon-Subduing Arhat in the Luohan Hall, and so on. Even the two Western saints in the novel, no matter what means they use, the Saint of Reception is always frowning all his life, silently working hard for the great wish of bliss everywhere. I won't talk about the means of the Saint of Zhunti, but the reason why he used this

These means are used to achieve the ultimate goal of making the West prosperous and the world happy.

In Jiang Jun's opinion, although we always talk about the West, the development of Buddhism in China is completely different from the original Indian version. Even these doctrines have absorbed many essences of Taoism, Confucianism, etc.

So, although there are regional differences in theory, this kind of prejudice can be ignored.

Even in history, Buddhism has made a great contribution to China. Apart from other things, many times, Buddhists have helped to save countless refugees by lending rice and porridge.

Although this is similar to taxation, taking from the people and using it for the people, but the Buddhists themselves are also self-sufficient through farming and so on. There is no need to discuss the deeper issues.

Having said that, when it comes to serving the country and the people, Confucianism is no less impressive. So when Wang Su saw the scene in the Pure Land of Maitreya, which was manifested by Maitreya Buddha, he fell into deep thought.

Are people who live like this meeting the standards of ethical principles?

Is life without birth, aging, sickness and death good or bad?

There are eight kinds of suffering: birth, aging, sickness, death, meeting with those you hate, separation from loved ones, failure to obtain what you desire, and the burning flames of the five aggregates. Is it really meaningful to live without all of these?

However, there is no righteousness or unrighteousness, no loyalty or disloyalty...are such people still human beings?

The debate between existence and non-existence, Confucius said to achieve benevolence, Mencius said to seek justice. If we want eternal life and bliss, can we abandon these things?

However, if there are no such eight sufferings, then what is happiness?

At this moment, Wang Su was confused. Such a great aspiration for the paradise seemed to be perfect indeed.

However, from Wang Su's perspective, loyalty and ethics are also crucial. Not to mention whether these people have emotions or not, bliss, bliss, is it really bliss without suffering?

Wang Su didn't understand this question. Even if Jiang Jun thought about the true meaning of bliss from an objective perspective and at a higher level, he might not understand it.

The paradise does not necessarily mean abandoning negative emotions or detaching from them. Jiang Jun feels that it should be more about education or enlightenment.

However, how can there be progress without desire? How can there be progress without difficulties? If it were not for the purpose of life, longevity, and immortality, would society have such development and progress?

If it were not for the purpose of preventing illness or curing illness, would medicine have developed to this extent?

If there were no resentment, separation, or failure to achieve what one desires, would humanity develop in a higher direction? Even without pursuit, without experiencing suffering, and living in a long period of comfort, can people still generate the power of will? Will, will, will, if there is no wish, where is the power?
