People in Hogwarts, holding scripts and systems

Chapter 388: Is Gore the mastermind?

"But don't all owls have to be checked?" Ron demanded.

"Fred and George would send it in as perfume." Avro shrugged. "I saw it at their place during the holidays."

"You know so much!" Harry glared at her fiercely and reached out to pinch the girl's nose.

At eight o'clock in the evening, Ron came to the fireplace in the lounge, wearing a black three-piece suit.

It was his first time wearing such an outfit, and Ron unconsciously tugged at his tie, trying to loosen his throat.

At this time, footsteps were heard on the stairs. He looked in the direction of the sound and saw a girl in a dress walking towards him with a dazzling smile on her face.

Afro was wearing a light blue one-shoulder fishtail dress with silver sandals. There was a big white satin bow at the back of her waist, outlining the girl's perfect waistline.

The long silk thread fell behind the skirt, spreading out like a waterfall.

The sapphire and diamond necklace reflected the light and also reflected Ron's gaze.

He stared at the girl blankly, with his mouth half open like a stupid goose.

"Shall we go?" Afro stretched out her hand to the boy, motioning him to hold her hand.

Ron nodded dumbly, holding her hand in his arm, "Where are we going?"

"Slughorn's office."

As they walked into the foyer, they met Luna, who was wearing a silver sequined dress.

Ron looked from Luna to Hermione's pink sequined gown.

"Did you discuss this?"

"Of course." Afro lifted up one of her skirts and turned around slightly, "This way we look like a sister group."

"What about Ginny?"

"She's golden."

They chatted as they walked towards the office, and the sound of music and voices grew louder with their footsteps.

The entire office was cast into a magic spell, with colorful curtains hanging on the ceiling and walls, and an orchestra sitting in the corner playing music.

"Harry! My boy!" Slughorn shouted, his voice as strong as Big Ben, waving his arms. "Come in. There are some people who want to see you."

He led the boy who was talking to Neville away without saying anything. When he passed by Afro and others, he did not forget to greet them, "Good evening, Afro."

Slughorn held Harry's arm tightly and led him through the crowd.

"Potter must like this kind of party very much." Draco was wearing a dark green shawl collar suit and a silver-gray tie on his chest.

He walked leisurely across half the room with a goblet in hand.

"Draco? Why are you here too?" Ron raised his voice unconsciously. His unique shrill voice and half-raised eyebrows were very funny.

"I came the same way you came." He took a sip of the mead in the goblet and directly replaced Afro's male companion.

Bryce led Theodore and Noah over and said, "Wow, we have quite a few people here!"

Afro's eyes fell on Noah. They had hardly seen each other since the start of school.

Especially after her plan with Dumbledore began, she had less time to interact with Noah.

Noah felt the same way. He seemed to have not seen the girl for a long time. For a moment, he felt that she had changed a lot.

She is taller and more beautiful than before.

Even the few brats surrounding her became more stable.

He seemed to have even less chance.

"Merry Christmas, Aphrodite," Noah said with a smile.

"Merry Christmas, Noah."

There was a silence afterwards, and Noah couldn't help but smile bitterly in his heart.

Look, you and her are getting further and further apart, and there are fewer and fewer topics to talk about.

She doesn't need you anymore.

Can……

Noah clenched the cup in his hand, staring at the girl who was chatting and laughing with others, not even looking at him.

But I need her.

He added the second half of the sentence silently in his mind.

"Thank you Merlin! You are all here." Harry looked disheveled, his collar was askew, his hair was messy, as if he had just been through a battle.

Slughorn had no intention of letting Harry go. He held up a large piece of treacle pie with a red face, "Oh! Harry is the most talented and good boy I have ever seen!"

He grabbed the curtain beside him, and Snape was hooked out from behind the curtain as if he had come alive.

"Don't be sneaky, Severus. You have a hand in this, too."

Harry nervously tugged at the corner of his clothes, avoiding Snape's gaze.

Snape pulled his arm free from Slughorn's restraints and squinted his dark eyes at Harry, who was looking down.

"I never taught him anything."

"Merlina, this is genius!"

Afro gave Slughorn a thumbs up in his heart. This guy is truly an enterprise-level comprehension expert.

Snape stared at him calmly for a moment, then folded his arms and tapped his fingers twice on them.

"Really?" he drawled, his eyes boring into Harry's.

Harry felt a little uneasy. He didn't know how to explain the source of his talent in Potions class.

"Professor Slughorn!"

Filch's appearance saved him, and for the first time Harry felt that the administrator was so cute.

"I've spotted a sneaky student wandering around the corridors," Filch panted, his eyes flickering with the madness of catching a student.

Goyle shook the fat on his chin, broke free from his hand, and shouted angrily, "I said I was just passing by!"

"No, you're in trouble. The headmaster said students are not allowed to walk around the corridors at will." Filch said excitedly.

"All right, Argus," Slughorn interrupted, waving his hand casually. "It's Christmas, Goyle, stay."

Filch left with an indignant expression, and Goyle didn't seem too happy either.

He would look towards the office door every half a minute, as if waiting for someone to show up.

The panicky little movements revealed his restless heart.

Afro stared at Goyle thoughtfully. In the original plot, Draco repaired the Vanishing Cabinet and broke into the Christmas dinner.

But now Draco has become a member of Harry's team, and the original plot has been filled by a man named Flint.

Afro once suspected that the task of repairing the Vanishing Cabinet was also placed on Flint, but she is not sure now.

"Goyle, come out with me for a moment." Snape suddenly spoke, grabbing Goyle's collar and carrying him outside.

The moment the door closed, his eyes met with Afro's.

"I'm going to the bathroom," Harry said to them.

He slipped into the crowd, pulled the Invisibility Cloak from his pocket and put it on. Harry felt that he was one step closer to the truth.

"He still didn't give up. Hermione watched the door open and close automatically, and she knew that Harry had followed Snape out again.

"Hermione, sometimes Harry's intuition is very accurate." Afro said as he looked at the door that was closed for the second time.
