Chapter 384: Infiltrating Gringotts

"I told him it was a very evil magic, and he asked me how to make a Horcrux, so I told him."

Afro looked at this old professor who had many honors and many followers. He had known the important news long ago, but he had concealed it for so long out of fear and cowardice!

If... if he had told Dumbledore or someone else earlier, would Harry not have had to go through all this?

In the original plot, Cedric would not have died in his best years, Dumbledore would not have touched the Resurrection Stone, Sirius would not have sacrificed himself, and Fred would not have been killed by the Death Eaters...

Perhaps James and Lily are still alive...

She tried hard to calm the anger in her heart and not let it affect her judgment.

"Did you tell him everything?"

Slughorn was silent for half a second, then spoke slowly, "Pretty much. He asked me if I could split my soul seven times."

The evening breeze drifted in through the lattice window that was not closed tightly, causing the two full cups of tea on the coffee table to sway.

"Thank you." Avro picked up the long sweater chain hanging on her chest and fiddled with a star-shaped ornament. "Good night, Professor Slughorn."

"Good night, Afro." He still looked dazed as he saw the girl out the door.

The wooden door slowly closed in front of Afro's eyes. Behind the door, the old professor with half-white hair leaned against the door and muttered.

"I hope you don't think I'm a bad person."

The wooden expression on his face was no longer there, but was replaced by guilt and sadness.

"It seems that the plan is going smoothly?" A gloomy and cold voice sounded in the corner of the corridor.

"Good evening, Professor Snape."

Snape was holding a stack of parchment in his arms, standing straight, staring at the other person without blinking.

"Got it?" He glanced at the closed office door and walked back the way he came.

"Of course. Who dares to say no to the professor's potion?"

"Hmph! Remember to pay." Snape snorted coldly, walked past her, stepped onto the marble stairs, turned around and looked at the indifferent girl and said unhappily.

"Dumbledore is waiting for you."

The headmaster's office was brightly lit, and Dumbledore was looking through new documents under the flickering candle.

"Would you like some refreshments?" Dumbledore said calmly, his blue eyes looking at them over his half-moon glasses.

"No, my stomach has been feeling bad lately."

"I don't think it delayed your school meals."

Afro's fist hardened.

She felt that a big part of the reason why Snape was unpopular was because of his bad mouth.

It was as if the mouth was rented.

"Ahem, I'm just being polite. I don't want you to really eat it. Tell me the intelligence." Dumbledore coughed twice and brought the two people who were about to quarrel back to the business.

The flickering light of the candles was cast on the wall, and Fox had already combed the hair on one side of his wing.

After hearing the story, Dumbledore's face turned serious.

Snape opened his mouth to speak, but was interrupted by raising his left hand.

He walked to a wall full of glass display cases and touched a raised area. A wooden board on the floor sank in, and a three-layered cabinet with golden carvings rose from the ground.

"This is more serious than I thought." Dumbledore took out a crystal bottle filled with a silver substance from the cabinet.

Aphrodite was very familiar with it. This was a memory that could be put into the Pensieve.

"He succeeded, more than once."

Dumbledore sat on the stone steps with the crystal bottle in his hand and said thoughtfully, "Yes, more than once. We still have four to find."

"Which other ones are Horcruxes?" Snape sat in a chair with his legs crossed, not looking nervous at all.

To be precise, he had no expression.

"Anything is possible, the most common ones, those with special significance..." Afro couldn't say the name of the Horcrux directly, but she gave a hint as much as possible.

"Aphrodite, you may be right."

Dumbledore quickly returned to his desk, opened the drawer and took out the diary, the ring and the Slytherin locket.

"The house treasure may have been used by Voldemort."

"How to find them? They could be hidden anywhere." Snape frowned and looked at the three destroyed Horcruxes.

Soon, he felt an inquiring gaze falling on him.

"Is there a Horcrux on my face?" Snape said coldly with a sullen face.

"No, but the professor should know some information."

Snape was so angry that he laughed. He was working under Voldemort like a slave, but slaves are different from each other!

"I never knew this. He always discussed this with Bella and the others..."

Afro snapped his fingers and smiled happily, "bingo!"

"Bellatrix Lestrange?" Dumbledore thought about the student's name. He had no impression of Bella's performance in school.

"Yes, Professor, where do you think are the safest places for wizards?"

"Hogwarts."

"Gringotts."

Dumbledore and Snape named two places one after another, and Avro snapped his fingers again.

"Don't you want your finger anymore?" Snape glanced at Afro.

The girl put her hands behind her back awkwardly. "Everyone has a vault in Gringotts, right?"

"Yes, but you may not be able to enter Voldemort's vault." Snape said sarcastically.

Afro touched the tip of his nose and raised the corner of his mouth, "Voldemort is not stupid, can he keep it in his own vault? It should be Bella's."

Dumbledore remained silent, and he kept looking at Aphrodite with a smile. Snape wanted to say whether these inferences were accurate or not, but he felt that they made some sense in his heart.

He felt that this girl always had some magical power that made people convinced unconsciously.

"That's a great inference." Snape pretended to clap his hands and continued in his unique voice, "Even if it's correct, how do you bring it out?"

Afro blinked and walked towards Snape with ill intentions. "Of course, this requires Professor Snape's help!"

"Like some free potions..."

"Potions are fine, but free ones are not." Snape rejected her request without even thinking.

Aphra looked at the determined Snape and decided to give up bargaining with him.

After all, respecting the elderly and loving the young is a traditional virtue.

"Principal Dumbledore, can I borrow Fawkes?"

Dumbledore nodded, and he even thoughtfully provided the girl with a series of letter-writing tools such as parchment, quill pen, sealing wax, etc.

In less than half an hour, Fox flew back to the room.

Afro picked up the reply letter, and after reading the words on it, she smiled and said to them, "We have found a way to enter Gringotts."
