Chapter 142 Prophecy
"Professor Sybill Trelawney!" Avro came close to Harry and tilted her head to read the name of the Divination professor marked on the course schedule. "I think you should know that we are coming."
As soon as he finished speaking, the brass plate moved away to reveal a small opening, and a silver ladder dropped from the sky and landed in front of them.
Ron frowned, looking at Harry with an expression that he had something to say but couldn't. He regretted choosing this course a little.
"I'll go first." Harry stopped Avro who wanted to go up first, climbed up the first step of the ladder first, and arranged the order by the way, "Ron, you go last."
"Okay~" Ron answered him hoarsely, looking at the ladder and swallowing quietly.
"Don't worry." Afro walked over and patted Ron's shoulders soothingly. "It might be like a tea party up there."
Ron held the hand on his shoulder, still frowning, tensing his body, trying to draw strength from her upper body, "How do you know~"
Afro listened to the trembling answer, and the corners of her mouth unconsciously lifted a little, her tone was smiling and naughty, "I guessed."
Harry climbed up without looking up at the classroom, but called out to Afro below, "It's okay, Afro."
Afro heard Harry's voice, let go of Ron's hand, climbed up the ladder and headed towards the Divination classroom.
Ron looked at her figure getting taller and taller with worry. The silver ladder creaked with every step the girl took and swayed slightly.
He took a few more steps forward worriedly, stood below Afro, and raised his arms slightly in a protective posture to guard her.
Afro stood up with the help of Harry's outstretched arm, and her eyes looked over his shoulder to the strange room.
She didn't know how to describe this classroom. Perhaps she and Umbridge had something in common.
The sight moves from the dark red printed cotton armchair, to the dark red curtains, and then to the delicate little teacup...
"Afro, you are so awesome!" Ron, who came up last, saw the layout of the classroom. Just as Afro said, it seemed that they were not here to attend class, but to attend a tea party.
The flames in the fireplace were blazing, creating a sultry feel, and the copper teapot being heated on the fire was emitting the sweet aroma of brewing tea.
Afro and the other two arrived late, and although there were only a few tables and chairs in the small attic, it was almost full.
She ignored Blaise's invitation and sat down at a small tea table against the wall.
There are many dusty feathers, crystal balls and scattered cards on the shelves on the wall.
Harry followed Avro without thinking and sat in the corner. Ron looked around and chose to sit with Avro.
Just as Harry and Avro were talking about the mileage of the classroom, an ethereal voice suddenly sounded, as if talking to them in the void.
With an uncomfortably hoarse voice.
"Welcome, it's an honor to meet you in the real world."
Afro's first impression of Trelawney was that she could really be friends with Umbridge!
The beads and bracelets wrapped around her wrists jingled as Trelawney waved her arms.
The oversized glasses covered most of her thin face, and the countless beaded necklaces hanging on her slender neck made Afro worry that they would break her neck.
The strange, cloudy eyes met Afro who was looking at her, "Everything in the world changes, and everything in the world ends."
Afro looked at those eyes and felt the hair on her arms stand up. She looked away and pretended to check the table.
Fortunately, Trelawney quickly finished her opening remarks and started the first class.
Trelawney showed them how to use the teacups for divination, and then let them try to interpret them themselves.
Ron, who was feeling thirsty, drank two cups of tea in a row, then rested his chin on his hand and looked at Afro, who was looking at the pattern in the book.
"Ron?" Afro slowly tilted the wall of the cup, and saw out of the corner of her eye that Ron was looking at her.
"I'm waiting for you to teach me."
Harry put down his teacup and exchanged it with Ron's. "You learn it yourself!"
Ron pouted and took Harry's cup of tea, but Harry leaned over to look at the same one as Avro.
"What is this? Is it a heart shape?" He pointed at a piece of tea residue in the teacup that looked like a peach heart shape. The book said that this pattern represented love.
Could it be that Afro...
The blue-green eye mask became darker, and the back of the girl's hand resting on the back of the chair turned slightly white.
"It looks like a four-leaf clover." Afro flipped through the book and compared the pattern to find the interpretation.
"Yeah, you're right, it looks like a four-leaf clover to me too."
Harry concealed his thoughts and made the decision without giving her any hesitation.
"Here is the explanation of the four-leaf clover." The bony hands quickly flipped through a few pages, including the explanation with a heart-shaped pattern.
“It’s good luck!”
"Ah."
Trelawney came over from Neville's table and stood behind Ron, bending slightly to look at the teacup in his hand.
"What do you see, dear?"
Ron gritted his teeth and answered quietly.
"A brown mass."
"My dear, free your mind and take another look."
Ron opened his eyes wide and tried to distinguish the pattern on the wall of the cup. "It looks like a sheep?"
"Honey, let me see." Trelawney took the cup, looked at it, and threw it on the table in panic.
He looked at Harry with wide eyes and a look of fear that sent chills down Harry's spine.
"You have a natural enemy!"
"Who knows?" Hermione suddenly spoke up, startling Ron. He patted his chest and turned his head to look at her.
"Where did you come from?!"
"I was sitting there the whole time, you didn't see me." Hermione pointed in a random direction and interrupted the conversation vaguely.
Trelawney ignored what was going on between the students and just stared at Harry without blinking, her hoarse throat as if there was a mouthful of thick phlegm stuck in it.
"It's a prophecy of death! A sign of death!"
Harry felt his stomach tighten. The other students in the room covered their mouths when they heard it, but Blaise sneered silently.
"I do not think so."
The warm hand covered the cold back of Harry's hand, bringing warmth in the cold like the bright sun in winter.
Trelawney seemed to want to say something to Avro, her expression full of pity and disdain.
"If you look at it from this angle, it's clearly a glove." Before she could speak, Afro took the initiative to pick up the teacup and turned it around. The pattern in the teacup changed shape.
"I think we should stop here today." Trelawney seemed to be being argued with for the first time, and she directly announced the end of the get out of class.
The other young wizards returned the teacup to her and Harry joked to himself as he gathered his books.
"Have you decided whether I want to die or not?"
