Chapter 417 Discussion on Prison Break
That evening, Della saw Durmstrang's simple boat for the first time and was disgusted by the uncovered seating.
"Sit on it and row west. A glowing path of water will guide you." Dmitri helped Della lower the wooden boat into the water. "When you see glowing green grass, you've reached Durmstrang."
He held out an arm so that Della could use it to jump into the boat. If he could help, Dmitri would actually be happy to row Della over, but things had changed. He was no longer unknown, and now was the time when he could not stand on Riddle's side.
Della jumped in. The boat swayed with the waves. She quickly sat down to lower her center of gravity. She turned and smiled politely at Dmitri. "Thank you, Isaev."
"Good luck, Riddle." Dmitri nodded and watched Della leave.
Della paddled the boat, creating ripples along the water. There was indeed a faintly fluorescent path on the water surface within her sight. She looked at the constantly changing fluorescence in front of her eyes, moving the oars in her hands constantly, and suddenly realized that she had not done such physical activity for a long time.
Rather, it is surprising that she can do this kind of physical activity now. In the past, Della either didn't like sports or her health was not very good. The most tiring thing she had done was to help Professor Snape clean the office.
Professor Snape...
If I remember correctly, in the archives of the British Ministry of Magic, she is still Severus Snape's adopted daughter. I don't know whether Voldemort will make a fuss about this matter, and whether Snape will use this matter to make a fuss in front of Voldemort.
Snape was on Dumbledore's side.
Think about it, it’s really not easy for Voldemort. His subordinates who scattered in panic were not loyal enough, and people like Maggie and Snape were waiting for his death with their eyes on him.
Well, there will be more Delas waiting for him to die in the future.
Della found some joy in the cold mockery in her heart, and unknowingly reached her destination. She saw the glowing green grass that Dmitri had mentioned. She rowed the boat to the shore, carefully tied the tow rope, and walked towards the outline of Durmstrang Castle in the dark night.
A year later, she was still familiar with the campus. She walked towards the tower where Professor Cockrell's office was located with a clear goal, and saw the sign on the wall left by Grindelwald himself. Delado looked at the sign that Tang Xueji had asked her to pay attention to for a while, then straightened her clothes and knocked on the mahogany door of the office.
"Come in."
The voice coming from inside the door was as hoarse and serious as it was a year ago. Della pushed the door open and was met with the same green light with a strong smell of black magic as a year ago. However, she no longer had even a brief panic. She waved her hand calmly, and easily dispelled the illusion as if she had dispelled the smell of alcohol. She smiled and looked at Professor Cockrell who was squinting his eyes at her.
"Long time no see, Professor Cockrell," Della said as she walked over. She stopped in front of Cockrell's desk and said straight to the point, "I want to ask you for some help."
"I didn't expect you to come, Della," Cockrell said, a little kindness in his eyes. "If it had known it was you, the fireplace wouldn't have attacked you."
One thing is undeniable, Della was an excellent student who respected him from beginning to end, which was very different from Tom Riddle who quickly became arrogant, which made Cockrell appreciate her even more.
"My fireplace always attacks anyone who comes to my office," Cockrell explained. "I assume that if you come to me, you have something to ask for, and I only grant it to those who pass the test. This also applies to you now. I will help you, Della."
"You are always so admirable, Professor." Della's smile was genuine, but that didn't stop her from dropping a bombshell in her next sentence. "If I wanted to go to Nurmengard to find Grindelwald, or even break him out of prison, I wonder how much help you could give me."
Cockerell's breathing became heavier. This old German, who was meticulous about everything from his clothes to his hair, showed an uneasy expression of surprise in front of Della for the first time. He tilted his chin to the left, and stared at Della with his light gray eyes. "Are you serious?"
"I'm serious and quite optimistic about the prison break," Della said immediately, noticing Cockerell's excitement. "Voldemort has reappeared, and more attention is focused on him. Even if we kidnap Grindelwald with great fanfare, Dumbledore won't be able to handle it. As long as we succeed, it will be a permanent success."
"Why do you want to see him?" Cockrell's expression became serious again, and he looked at Della's impeccable expression with scrutiny.
"I have some questions I want to ask him," Della said without elaborating. "Also, I've always believed that Grindelwald is the only one worthy of the title of Dark Lord, and I want to learn from him."
The second half of Della's words touched Cockrell's heart. Although it didn't make his expression much better, Della's proposal was really touching.
If it meant getting his leader out of that torturous tower, he wouldn't mind spending the rest of his life listening to Della Riddle's lies.
"I have the original blueprints for Nurmengard, and I remember every detail from my time wandering through that fortress." Cockrell opened the drawer in front of him with a leather-gloved hand. "Even though the facilities and defenses have changed over the years, the framework remains unchanged. I can also tell you which traps can only be designed in various locations due to architectural limitations."
Della listened to Cockrell's coherent string of words and was quite sure that the professor had simulated countless prison break plans, which she found a little funny.
"In my opinion, those traps are unnecessary. As long as you're not afraid of the trouble of being wanted, you can easily bring out any ordinary prisoner inside." Cockerell pointed his finger at the spire on the left side of the diagram and knocked it hard. "The suffering is only in his cell. Dumbledore has set up many magic-blocking spells there."
Cockrell gritted his teeth as he finished the last sentence. "Not only that, there are also special alchemical devices installed around there that continuously absorb the magic power of the wizard inside. Even now, Nurmengard's defense barrier is still relying on the absorption of his magic power to maintain. This is despicable."
"Alchemical device?" Della raised an eyebrow, feeling that she seemed to be the chosen one to break out of Grindelwald's prison. "I don't think this should be a problem for me. Perhaps you know, Professor, I am from the Alchemical Institute."
"I know, but you don't have to limit yourself to alchemy." Cockrell waved his hand and proposed a radical plan that was completely different from his calm expression. "With your strength, you should be able to do it. Forcibly breaking through the barrier and destroying the device is actually the fastest and most effective way."
"Are you sure I can do this?" Della asked.
"I'm sure," Cockrell nodded without hesitation. "I assess the strength of Nurmengard's barrier every year. I'm not quite there yet, but you're almost there."
each year......
It seems that Professor Cockrell is very eager to rescue his leader...
Della lowered her eyes and couldn't help but complain.
