HP: Hogwarts Snake

Chapter 400 Don’t look at anything inappropriate

The drinking was lively for a while. When the wine was drunk and the food was almost finished, some people went out one after another to get some fresh air to sober up.

Della did the same, especially after she looked around and found that Zhou Yushi and Bellinda had quietly run out, she also walked out of the small building and prepared to go to the garden to get some fresh air to sober up.

Excluding the butterbeer, this was Della's first time drinking seriously. Since she had no comparison, she couldn't tell whether she was drunk or not, or to what extent if she was drunk. However, she felt good about herself. Only her face was a little hot, but her mind was still clear.

This state might be a case of being tipsy?

Della, who had read many books and had a wealth of theoretical knowledge about various things, thought so. She then recalled the descriptions of the feeling of being tipsy in various books, and stepped into a garden full of blooming flowers.

It was also a blessing from God. Two or three clouds floated in the clear blue sky not long ago, blocking the scorching sun. A cool breeze blew, reducing the heat on Della's face. She took a deep breath and inhaled the coolness mixed with the fragrance of flowers into her lungs.

With the cool breeze, Della's senses were refreshed and her mind was clearer. In this brief moment of clarity, she heard Belinda's gentle voice from afar.

Della couldn't hear clearly what she was saying, but she could hear the affection in it. A little curiosity was aroused in her heart, and the remaining heat in her body became her motivation for action. She slowed down her pace and quietly went towards the sound.

After taking two steps, through the gaps in the vine-covered flower rack, Della saw the backs of Bellinda and Zhou Yushi, who were cuddling together on a stone bench two meters away.

"That thing," Bellinda put her hand on Zhou Yushi's heart, "is it still here?"

"Here," Zhou Yushi pressed Bellinda's hand to his heart, and said in a gentle voice, which was drunken and had an intoxicating aftertaste, "Always here."

Della happened to hear the voice that was neither far nor near. The riddle-like words aroused her curiosity even more, and she held her breath and listened attentively.

"Take it out and let me see it." Belinda laughed softly, and her breath still carried the warming heat of the wine.

The blowing wind blew away the clouds, the shade disappeared, and the sunlight hit the ring, showing a dazzling brilliance that was completely different from the moonlight. Della covered her mouth in surprise.

Isn't it surprising that she might have seen the proposal, but rather surprised that he proposed just now?

She had been in Country Z for so long and it wasn't just about eating and drinking. She had also learned a lot about its customs and habits. Della already knew that the fact that Bellinda had accepted the gift so ostentatiously during the Chinese New Year meant that the wedding date was approaching, and she thought that the two of them were already doomed.

What? Bellinda didn't know this?

"It's my size," Belinda said, touching the ring stuck between Zhou Yushi's thumb and index finger. She discussed this symbol of marriage with him for the first time. "When did you get the right size, dear?"

"We officially bought this ring when we were dating for a month, but I was already evaluating the size when we held hands for the first time." Zhou Yushi touched Bellinda's face with his other hand and leaned a little closer to his girlfriend.

Della noticed Zhou Yushi's little movements, and her rationality finally returned. She realized that she was now doing something she would never do normally. She felt a little embarrassed, but she was already curious, and there was still some impulsiveness from the alcohol.

Would you like to watch it for a while longer?

As she thought this, she warned herself to turn around and leave immediately if she saw any signs of kissing.

"Why are you thinking so far ahead so early?" Bellinda held Zhou Yushi's hand holding the ring with both hands, and the tips of both middle fingers touched the rings. She looked up at her boyfriend, and the distance between them became closer.

"Because I saw your love for me," Zhou Yushi looked at the love of his life with affection, "Such pure love makes me unconsciously want to respond to this love that is hard to come by, and to enjoy this unique love all to myself."

The couple moved closer, and Della inched toward leaving.

"Your eyes speak love just as much as your mouth, and your actions express love to me all the time," Belinda freed one hand and touched Zhou Yushi's face. "So now, I'm a little willing to wear this ring."

Della paused, finally understanding the joy of gossip, and honestly turned her gaze back to the couple.

However, unexpectedly, after Zhou Yushi paused for a second or two, his body, which was originally leaning towards Bellinda, turned back to the right position.

Seriously? Why would you pull away when every word was heating up and making ambiguous remarks?

Della, who had been in a relationship before, opened her eyes wide at Zhou Yushi's abnormal behavior. Her first reaction was that Zhou Yushi was just saying nice things and actually didn't want to enter into a responsible marriage relationship.

This was also Bellinda's first thought, but she kept looking into Zhou Yushi's eyes and clearly saw that the love in them had not wavered. She patiently asked, "What's wrong? Don't you want to marry me anymore?"

"No, I'm crazy about it," Zhou Yushi immediately pressed down on Bellinda's hand that was about to be pulled away from his cheek. He turned his hand to the side, showing weakness and meekness, "but I can't propose to you here."

"Why?" Belinda frowned.

"Because this is my home, where you're alone. Here, you only have me, so you'll have less time to consider whether to accept my proposal, which is unfair to you," Zhou Yushi said earnestly. "Marriage is a sacred relationship that requires careful consideration. I hope I can propose to you on your home turf and receive your thoughtful acceptance."

After hearing this, Della was a little impressed that Zhou Yushi could remain sober and rational when facing Bellinda's marriage promise after drinking so much.

"You're such a good talker. It makes me want to marry you even more," Belinda sighed, her amber eyes becoming even more blurry. She took the promise that belonged to her from Zhou Yushi's hand, but she didn't wear it, just placed it in her palm. "Then I'll take it first. When we return to France, you can find a chance to ask if you can put this ring on me."

Zhou Yushi was stunned for a moment, then a smile that he had never had before appeared on his face. "Okay, wait for me, Belle."

As he spoke, he leaned towards Belinda again. Belinda closed her eyes and moved forward as well. This time they were bound to kiss. While the two were in a state of confusion and passion, Della quietly walked away from the flower stand.

I have to say, it's quite sweet, and Zhou Yushi's restraint and respect also make people look up to him.

Della was feeling the sweetness of their relationship, and walked into the flowery path she had come from. She unexpectedly bumped into someone at the corner.

When she looked up, it was Tang Yu. There was a blush on his face that she had never seen before, and his eyes were wandering. He was staring at her with a foolish smile.

Then he grabbed Della's hand, and judging by his strength, he had no intention of letting go.

Della knew that she was being harassed by a drunkard.

It’s the first time in my life, and it’s a bit novel.
