Wilderness Redemption Tour

Chapter 138: Micah's Revenge

After having lunch at Andre's restaurant, since it was still early, Arthur took John to the yacht at the pier, while Lin Yan and Sadie took Kieran back to the camp.

When the three returned to the camp, Lin Yan noticed that Micah and Bill were not in the camp. In this huge camp, there were almost no combatants stationed there except Hosea who was patrolling the periphery.

Most people in the camp already regarded Kiran as a member of the gang. When they found Kiran injured, they came forward to ask about his well-being and were particularly enthusiastic.

Of course, Abigail, who missed her son so much, was among them. After learning that Kieran was fine, she immediately asked about the progress of Jack's rescue.

After learning that she might meet Jack tonight, she excitedly rushed to Pearson's open-air kitchen and started making Jack's favorite alphabet cookies.

After settling Kiran down and telling him to drink more water and rest more, Lin Yan found Hosea who was replaced by Mrs. Bell.

After asking, Hosea told Lin Yan that Micah had urged Bill to go to Gray's house with him. Hosea didn't say what they were going to do, but Lin Yan knew it without thinking.

According to Micah's vengeful personality, he suffered such a big loss at the hands of the Gray family and almost lost his life. If he didn't seek revenge and save face, it would really be inconsistent with his personality. If he was alone, he would probably just kill a few Gray family guards to vent his anger. But now that Bill, a big fool, is with him, Lin Yan can't imagine how much trouble the two of them will cause.

"Alas!" Hosea sighed and said, "Recently, I feel that we are getting further and further away from our set goals. All kinds of troubles come one after another. We are like puppets in a circus, being led by an invisible hand. Today we provoke this, tomorrow we provoke that, constantly making enemies and doing things that run counter to our ideas."

"I hope that Micah will never come back this time, even if Bill goes with him. Since he joined the gang, Dutch has become more and more arrogant and inflated under his flattery. We are just a small gang of a dozen people, and we should cheat and deceive people. Robbery is an activity with greater risks and dangers, which is okay to do occasionally, but if we take this as our main business, only destruction will be waiting for us."

"Haha, when people get older, they tend to overthink. I hope all this is just a fantasy. I also want to wait until I make enough money and find a place for Dutch and I to live in peace in our old age."

Hesias kept nagging Lin Yan. Now he didn't persuade Lin Yan to leave, but his words revealed his worry about the future of the gang, which was actually a disguised form of persuasion.

After saying this, Hosea poured a cup of hot coffee and sat on the steps in front of the villa.

"I've said so much useless things, but I haven't talked about the real business yet. Come on, tell me who that Angelo Bronte is..."

Hearing Hosea asking about Bronte, Lin Yan told him everything he had seen and heard in the mansion. After listening, Hosea shook his head and smiled bitterly: "It seems that this European guy is not an easy person to deal with. We only need to do a small thing for him to get him to return Jack to us. He is either planning to cooperate with us for a long time or he has other purposes. In short, we must be careful of this smiling tiger..."

As they were talking, Micah and Bill appeared in their sight, talking and laughing loudly. Micah was spotless, but Bill's image was in sharp contrast to him. His plaid shirt and canvas pants had almost turned black, and it looked like they were stained with the blood of countless people.

Seeing the two's expressions, Hosea sighed heavily and said, "I'm afraid the Gray family will be expelled from Rhodes now..."

Hosea wisely chose not to cause trouble for the two men, but the trouble still found him.

After Bill returned to the camp, he took a shower and changed his clothes. After Micah got off his horse, he turned around and ran straight to Hosea.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Matthews." Micah greeted Hosea in a sarcastic tone while walking and using gestures.

"Actually, I hope you're not well, Mr. Trouble," Hosea shot back unceremoniously.

Hearing Hosea's retort, Micah laughed even more happily. He took off his hat, put it against his chest, and with his other hand on the pillar of the villa, he looked at Hosea and said triumphantly: "I now officially announce that the Gray family of Rhodes has completely disappeared. Whether it is old Gray or young Gray, even the housekeepers, servants, grooms, and workers who work there, as long as they appear in front of me, no one is alive. But I think this is far from enough. They just lost a noble and worthless life. How can it be compared with my ears and my loss of hearing? What do you think?"

Hosea glanced at Micah and said, "If you ask me, I just feel sorry for the gunman who missed the target."

"It's a pity indeed." Micah nodded in agreement, "But this is fate's test for me, isn't it? I passed the test, so I became stronger than before."

After saying that, Micah whistled and staggered away.

Looking at Micah's departing back, Hosea shook his head helplessly, turned around and walked into the villa.

Micah was the least concerned about Jack's disappearance among all the gang members. After completing his revenge plan, Micah spent the whole afternoon roaming around the ladies in the camp with a big grin on his face. Karen, Marybeth, Mrs. Bell, Aunt Susan, even Abigail, whose mood had just improved, and Sadie, who would fight with him at the slightest disagreement, all became his targets.

I have to say that although Maika is annoying, he is a very good talker. When he is talking to someone he doesn't like, his mouth is so mean that you can't help but want to hit him; but when he is talking to someone he likes, his mouth is like honey, and every word he says touches your heart.

After secretly observing Micah for an entire afternoon, Lin Yan finally understood why Dutch insisted on keeping Micah in the gang despite all the opposition. Even if you hated him from the bottom of your heart, it was hard to get angry with him when he flattered you and tried hard to please you.

In the evening, Lenny, Javier and others who were out came back one after another. Seeing that Kiran was injured, they also expressed their regret for Kiran's injury.

After dinner, everyone sat together and waited patiently for little Jack to return safely.
