Crossing the World of Warcraft: I am an Ancient God
Chapter 890 The Final Ultimatum
In reality, Yun's true target wasn't these ordinary Lightforged warriors. With a flash, his speed was astonishing; like a ghost, he effortlessly passed through the Lightforged warriors' tightly guarded encirclement, heading straight for the land below, formed entirely of pure, flawless holy light!
When he was only inches away from that mysterious land, he bent down without hesitation, stretched out his strong, powerful hands, and gripped the seemingly smooth surface tightly like iron clamps, then twisted it with force! In an instant, a muffled, loud thud resounded, and the entire earth trembled!
At the same time, the chaotic energy surging out of the cloud began to rapidly transform its form: it first turned into countless gray tentacles that were several times thinner than a hair, and then spread like wild grass all over the sky towards the core of the Lightforged Star!
"Om-!"
The entire Lightforged Star trembled violently! Centered on the point where Yun's hands were inserted, the earth visibly lost its luster, turning gray and cracked! Vast and incomparably pure holy light energy was forcibly extracted and surged wildly into Yun's body along those gray tentacles!
"No! Stop him! He is blaspheming the source of the Holy Light!" a Naaru cried out in anguish, attempting to summon a stronger cloud of Holy Light to suppress it, but the chaotic storm resisted stubbornly and even began to erode the Naaru's own light.
An even more chilling scene unfolded. Yun raised his head, his gaze locking onto some of the Lightforged warriors closest to him. A portion of the predatory tentacles around his body split off, like living gray serpents, and pierced into the Lightforged bodies of those warriors with lightning speed!
"Ah!" The Lightforged warriors who were pierced by the tentacles let out an incredulous roar of pain. The brilliant light on their bodies dimmed and disappeared at a speed visible to the naked eye. Cracks appeared on their Lightforged bodies, and finally, like weathered rocks, they shattered and collapsed, turning into a cloud of dust that had lost all its energy!
Without pausing, Yun even turned his gaze to the Naaru in the air, chanting and radiating a soft light. Several exceptionally thick, predatory tentacles, like greedy pythons, suddenly coiled around one of the smaller Naaru!
The entangled Naaru let out a sharp, mournful cry, like shattering crystal. Its warm light flickered and became uncertain, and even a gray crack appeared at its core! Although it eventually broke free of the tentacles with its profound essence, its light had dimmed by more than half, clearly indicating that it had suffered a great loss of energy.
The clouds were like a plague that descended upon sacred lands, fading light and withering life wherever they passed. For the first time, the eternal radiance of the Lightforged Star showed large areas of dimness, as if it had contracted an incurable disease.
He frantically absorbed the energy, ignoring the intense conflict between the holy light and other energies within his body—an extreme agony as if his soul were being roasted on holy fire. He felt as if his body and soul were about to be burst and torn apart by these multiple extremely opposing energies.
He didn't know how much time had passed—perhaps just a moment, perhaps eternity. Yun felt he had reached his limit; if he absorbed any more, he might perish without needing the "seed."
He abruptly pulled his hand away, ceasing his looting. At this moment, his aura was extremely chaotic, with gray, gold, and black energies swirling around him like an out-of-control tornado, making him look more like a monster that had crawled out of the abyss, a combination of multiple ultimate terrors.
He took one last look at the Lightforged Kingdom he had ravaged, at the dimmed light and the grief-stricken, desperate Naaru and Lightforged warriors, and without a word, he tore through space once more and vanished.
What remains is a dimly lit, ravaged sanctuary, and a new, terrifying legend about the "Chaos Calamity" that blasphemed the light.
The spatial rift closed behind him, completely isolating the lingering grief and despair of the Lightforged Star. The clouds fell heavily back into the familiar darkness within Mendisius's body, but this time, they brought back not hope, but the fuse of destruction.
Almost the instant he landed, he could no longer maintain his composure. He curled up and let out a suppressed, painful roar, like that of a wounded beast.
His body no longer completely belonged to him.
Within his body, four vast energies, distinct from each other and fundamentally opposed—the gray chaos of his own foundation, the golden order plundered from the Pantheon, the dark void obtained from Yogg-Saron, and the blazing holy light he had just forcibly absorbed—were like four primordial beasts forcibly crammed into the same cage, engaging in the most frenzied and brutal battle.
Chaos attempted to assimilate everything, order sought to regulate and standardize, the void yearned to erode and corrupt, while holy light instinctively purified and repelled. They clashed fiercely and annihilated each other in the veins, bones, and even the depths of the cloud's soul. Each collision of energy unleashed a power powerful enough to tear apart stars, yet it was forcibly confined within his already riddled-with-holes body.
Beneath his skin, countless tiny lightning bolts seemed to flicker, sometimes gleaming with orderly golden light, sometimes revealing the darkness of the void, sometimes covered by the blazing white of holy light, and finally forcibly suppressed by a deeper chaotic gray. Multiple colors of light flickered and shimmered on his body, extremely unstable, making him look like a strange piece of pottery that had failed to be fired and was on the verge of shattering at any moment.
Intense pain surged like an endless tide, wave after wave crashing against his nerves. It was not merely physical pain, but a rejection and tearing at the level of rules, the ultimate torment of his soul being repeatedly crushed by different extreme forces. He felt his consciousness was like a small boat in a raging storm, on the verge of being completely swallowed and torn apart by this tidal wave of energy.
This is the path he chose—turning himself into a walking, ever-exploding "chaotic furnace."
"Woo..."
A faint, almost inaudible cry of anguish reached his consciousness, which was nearly overwhelmed by pain. It was Mendisius.
Yun struggled to lift his head, following the fluctuations of consciousness. The sight before him made his heart tighten. Mendisius's once chaotic yet vibrant body now appeared unusually dim and... shriveled. Like a fruit drained of its moisture, its surface was covered with wrinkles and cracks, and the once slowly flowing chaotic energy had become sluggish and thin. The "seed of the mother planet" was still pulsating not far away, each beat causing Mendisius's remaining body to convulse slightly, emitting an even weaker mournful cry.
It was on the verge of collapse. And the chaotic energy storm it had brought back had undoubtedly exacerbated its pain and impending destruction.
Can't wait any longer.
Yun clenched his teeth so tightly that his gums bled from the force. He forced himself to sit up cross-legged, attempting to guide and compress the four raging energies within his body using the methods left behind by the Firstborn. The process was like dancing on a knife's edge; every attempt was fraught with immense risk, and the slightest misstep could lead to prematurely detonating himself.
Time passed slowly, perhaps for a moment, perhaps for a long time. The chaotic light flickering on the surface of the cloud seemed to calm down slightly, but the restrained, destructive fluctuations were even more unsettling. He barely managed to stabilize this "chaotic furnace" at an extremely fragile critical point.
He slowly stood up, each step feeling like walking on shattered glass. He arrived at the area inside Mendisius's body relatively close to the "outer shell," facing the boundless universe outside.
it's time.
He took a deep breath, even though the action itself was accompanied by excruciating, tearing pain throughout his body. He abandoned all defenses, completely releasing the constraints on the "furnace" within his body, using it as a massive energy amplifier and signal transmitter.
An invisible yet immensely powerful wave of intent, mixed with the unique aura of four primal energies—chaos, order, void, and holy light—as well as the greedy, devouring rhythm of the mother star seed, erupted like a supernova, centered on him, and spread violently to every corner of the universe where information could be perceived!
This message was not in words, but contained everything he knew:
The chilling truth and terrifying future of the "harvesting agreement" on the home planet;
His helplessness and desperation in being forced to plunder the energy of all parties;
The image shows the chaotic state of his body at this moment, with the five energies converging and on the verge of exploding.
And Mendisius's pitiful state as he lay dying...
Finally, there was a crystal-clear declaration, carrying a final warning:
"The truth is here! The crisis is here! I have done everything in my power, transforming myself into a furnace, gathering the five origins into one!"
"If there is no more, I wish to offer effective assistance in stopping this harvest through peaceful means..."
"When the time limit is up, I will detonate this body, taking this with me to the end!"
"The outcome may break the contract, or it may hasten the demise of all things...it is all unknown!"
The choice... lies with you!
After sending the message, Yun seemed to have all his strength drained away. He staggered backward, and the energy light on his body flickered violently again, clearly indicating that the "broadcast" had taken a heavy toll on him. He leaned against a cold, lifeless piece of Mendisius tissue, slowly sat down, and closed his eyes.
He had done all he could. This was his last struggle, and his final ultimatum to this indifferent universe.
Now, all he can do is wait. Wait for a response that may never come, or... wait for the final moment of detonation.
Cloud's ultimatum, like a stone thrown into a stagnant pond, stirred violent ripples across the vast information space of the universe. Countless powerful beings awoke from their slumber, rose from their scheming, and turned their gaze toward the desolate sky where Mendisius resided.
He could vaguely sense the scanning of thoughts coming from all directions, filled with shock, doubt, greed, and above all, cold scrutiny. His information was undoubtedly like a boulder, shattering the long-maintained balance and understanding of countless forces.
Time slipped away in agonizing torment. Mendisius's wails grew weaker and weaker, like a candle flickering in the wind. The "Chaos Furnace" within Yun's body became even more unstable due to the violent fluctuations in his mind; turbulent energy surged through his meridians, bringing waves of tearing pain.
He held a faint glimmer of hope, hoping that perhaps... perhaps there was someone who could understand the despair behind it all and was willing to lend a helping hand, even if it was just to offer a feasible idea or a different perspective.
However, what he was met with was a violent tremor in space.
It was not the gentle fluctuations produced by a friendly space jump, but a piercing shriek that forcibly tore apart the space barrier with clear hostility and a destructive will!
Om-!
At the edge of his perception, one, two, ten, a hundred... countless spatial rifts, like ugly scars, suddenly burst open in the void outside Mendisius!
First to step forward was the Pantheon Titan, whose towering form radiated a cold, golden light of order! Aman'Thul stood in the center, his gaze like unyielding ice. Norgannon's silver body calculated the optimal attack trajectory. Aggramar held his holy sword, the burning flames of order more intense than ever before, filled with the dignity of being offended and the determination to kill.
Next came the remnants of the Lightforged Legion! They were no longer radiant; the light of many naaru was dimmed by wounds, and the eyes of the Lightforged warriors burned with grief and vengeance. They rallied under the leadership of Xerath (if it still existed) or another powerful naaru, their sacred hymns transforming into chilling battle cries, their intense purifying will descending like a tangible pressure of light.
Even more chillingly, twisted, malevolent shadows also emerged. These were forces from the void, perhaps the surviving ancient gods themselves, or projections sent by even more ancient void lords. They were not acting for justice, but were drawn by the vast, chaotic energy within the cloud, either seeking revenge for Ignos, or simply wanting a share of the chaos, dragging the cloud and the seed into eternal darkness.
The "Ultimate Purification Alliance"—composed of the Order, the Holy Light, and the Void, the most powerful and opposing forces in the universe—temporarily united by the common and immense "threat" of the Clouds, forming an unprecedented extermination force! They will surround the already battered and dying Mendisius like hunting a dying beast!
Warships arrayed themselves, their divine might as a prison, shadows lurking in the shadows. A chilling atmosphere froze the air.
Cloud hovered within Mendisius's body, coldly "watching" the vast, allied army outside—an army capable of crushing countless star systems—through the translucent, crumbling "barrier." The last glimmer of hope in his heart was extinguished by this chilling reality.
As expected... it's still the same.
He should have known long ago. In the face of absolute "abnormality," all differences can be temporarily set aside, and all attacks will be directed at a common enemy. And he is that biggest "abnormality."
Just moments before the allied forces were about to launch their final offensive, a more subtle yet terrifying energy fluctuation, which froze Yun's soul, condensed at the other end of the distant universe.
That was... the aura of multiple supreme powers combined! Order, holy light, and even a trace of the shadow of the void were involved!
Their target was not Mendisius, nor the clouds themselves. Rather... rather, through a means incomprehensible to the clouds, they locked onto the coordinates where the last faint resonance remained deep within his soul—his final home in Azeroth, the valley where he first arrived, the place that held the most ordinary memories and brief moments of peace for him!
