Crossing the World of Warcraft: I am an Ancient God

Chapter 889 Clash in the Chaotic Realm

Yun's eyes snapped open, his pupils contracting in utter shock. He had always thought he was preventing a catastrophe, but he never imagined he had almost become an accomplice in helping an even more terrifying executioner complete a world-destroying ritual! No wonder the Firstborn rebelled; no wonder the ruins of their home planet considered it a traitor that had to be eradicated!

A chill deeper than any physical wound instantly swept through his body. His earlier warnings might have seemed laughable to Titan, but the truth was far darker and more desperate than he could describe.

A plea? A warning?

After learning all this, Yun felt incredibly naive. Pray to the Titans? Seek help from those beings who wouldn't even listen to him and saw him as their greatest threat? They might be powerful, but how effective could their rigid order be against such a devouring rule from another era? Their intervention might even trigger a more intense conflict of rules, accelerating the process of destruction.

Instead of relying on them, we should rely on ourselves.

A crazy and dangerous idea, amidst utter despair and the chilling realization of reality, sprouted wildly like a poisonous vine.

Since prayers yield no results, and since there is no one he can trust or rely on, then... he will do it himself!

He needs power, power vast enough to shake that "seed," power enough to interrupt that ultimate harvest! If the Titans won't give it to him, he'll steal it! He'll take it from everywhere in the universe that possesses immense energy!

He struggled to sit up cross-legged, ignoring the intense internal energy conflict and his almost falling body, and began to practice the methods of deeper application of chaotic energy imprinted on his soul by the Primordial One. Gray energy once again emerged from his body, this time not merely for defense or attack, but with a greedy sense of devouring and assimilating, forcibly sorting out and suppressing the raging orderly energy within him, and attempting to draw upon the already sparse energy that was floating in the Mendisius space.

The process was incredibly painful, like scraping the bone to remove poison. But the hesitation and confusion in his eyes were rapidly fading, replaced by an almost obsessive determination and... a deeply hidden madness.

He slowly raised his head, his gaze seemingly piercing through the chaos within Mendisius, looking out at the vast yet hostile universe. His first target was that realm, the complete opposite of order, yet equally containing boundless power—the "Chaos Realm," occupied by the ancient gods, representing the origin of void and chaos.

“Since you don’t care…” Yun muttered to himself, his voice hoarse but filled with a cold determination, “then I will use your power to interrupt this 'harvest'.”

Yun stood in a relatively stable spot within Mendisius's body, his aura still unstable. The plundered golden light of order and his own chaotic gray light flickered and darted across his body like two venomous snakes locked in a fierce battle. But his eyes were cold, and his will was as firm as iron. He recalled the esoteric knowledge of location and movement from the Firstborn's Mark, and slowly raised his hands. The gray chaotic energy no longer flowed gently, but instead, with a resolute determination to tear everything apart, it slammed fiercely into the void before him!

"Sizzle—!"

A tearing sound, far more piercing and teeth-grinding than before, rang out. Space was forcibly ripped open with an irregular rift. Beyond the rift was not pure darkness, but a color that could not be accurately described in words, as if all colors had been mixed and then decayed, viscous, writhing, and emanating a mad whisper that could drive one to madness. The mere aura leaking from the rift caused Mendisius to shiver uncomfortably.

The Chaotic Realm! The true lair of the ancient gods!

Without the slightest hesitation, Yun leaped into that bizarre and nightmarish realm.

The moment he stepped inside, countless chaotic thoughts surged forth like a tidal wave, attempting to penetrate his mind and distort his perception. Whispers were everywhere, as if thousands of indescribable beings were roaring blasphemous secrets in his ears. The rules here were shattered, gravity was sometimes reversed, space was constantly folded, and the sense of time was also disordered.

“You… dare… step into… this place…” A magnificent yet chaotic consciousness exploded like thunder.

The "scene" ahead of the clouds began to distort, and countless enormous, slippery tentacles emerged from the void, coiling and intertwining to form a colossal, terrifying form filled with countless fangs and gaping maws—the Thousand-Throated Demon, Yogg-Saron, revealed himself! At the same time, on the other side, a huge eye burning with dark flames slowly opened, flames that seemed capable of burning through reality and seeing all the tributaries of fate—the Prophet Ignis also cast its cold and calculating gaze upon it.

Two massive, malevolent ancient god wills, like tangible mountains, pressed down on the clouds.

"I'm not here to listen to your nonsense!" Yun suppressed his mental discomfort and the conflicting energies within his body, his voice hoarse yet carrying an undeniable force. "The universe is facing its ultimate harvest, and I need energy to stop it! Give me the energy!"

His response was the soul-piercing screams spewed from Yogg-Saron's countless gigantic maws, enough to drive a demigod mad, and the shadowy flames of fate shooting from Ignos's eyes.

Yun's eyes sharpened. He knew that here, any show of weakness would be fatal. He had to demonstrate a power that would make them wary!

"Buzz!"

A vast surge of chaotic energy, mixed with the still-untamed golden light of order, erupted from his center! The gray air currents swept like a storm, temporarily forcing back the viscous chaotic aura around him. The golden light, containing the power of order, also had a natural restraint on the void energy, greatly reducing the effect of Yogg-Saron's shriek.

Yun's figure appeared and disappeared amidst the energy storm, his gaze first locking onto Yogg-Saron's massive form. He remembered that in a past crisis involving the balance of the universe, he had a very brief and distrustful "cooperation" with this Thousand-Throated Demon, which was the only trace of "connection" among these endless enemies that could not be considered friendship.

"Yogg-Saron! You should be able to sense the threat of that draining power! It wants to harvest your Chaos Realm as well!" Yun, while fending off Il'gynoth's shadow flames, transmitted his thoughts to Yogg-Saron, "Give me some energy, or we're all finished!"

Yogg-Saron's countless writhing tentacles and gigantic maw paused for a fleeting moment, as if undergoing a fierce internal struggle. It did indeed vaguely sense the unsettling, devouring force emanating from the direction of Mendisius. A fight to the death with the cloud, even if victorious, would inevitably leave it severely weakened, and it might even allow Ignos or some other being to reap the benefits…

A moment later, Yogg-Saron let out a roar that was a mixture of anger and resentment, the meaning of which was unclear. A portion of the relatively pure, black, flowing Void Shadow energy was actively stripped from its massive body, flowing towards the clouds like an unwilling black river.

Yun showed no mercy, transforming chaotic energy into a vortex that absorbed it all. Yogg-Saron's aura instantly weakened considerably, and several of its main tentacles became dull and lifeless. It had paid a considerable price and suffered severe injuries, but its core essence remained intact.

Having dealt with the relatively "easy-to-talk-to" one, Yun's icy gaze instantly turned to Ignos, who had remained silent and spying, radiating an aura that he found utterly repulsive.

"As for you..." Yun's voice carried undisguised killing intent, "Those who pry into fate should know that some prices are too high to pay!"

Without another word, he transformed into a streak of grey-gold lightning, braving the soul-scorching shadow flames, and charged straight at Ignos's enormous eyeball! Chaotic energy erupted with unprecedented aggression, transforming into countless grey, predatory tentacles that seemed capable of devouring everything, piercing fiercely into Ignos's burning eye!

“Hiss—!!!”

Ignus let out an unprecedented, extremely shrill mental scream! Its primordial energy, containing countless knowledge of destiny, was frantically extracted by the cloud's plundering tentacles! It tried to struggle, to twist the cloud's destiny, but chaotic energy itself transcends conventional destiny to a certain extent, and the cloud's will was as firm as a rock.

Under Yogg-Saron's almost terrified gaze, Il'gynoth's enormous eyeball visibly withered and shrank, the dark flames burning upon it quickly extinguished. In moments, that eye, which had once gazed upon the endless river of fate, completely lost its luster, becoming like a hollowed-out, cracked stone sphere. Finally, in a silent collapse, it shattered into countless ashen fragments, dissipating into the viscous air of the Chaos Realm.

An ancient god, who held the power of prophecy, has fallen completely, his core energy being plundered by the clouds.

Yun hovered in mid-air, his aura becoming even more chaotic and dangerous after absorbing the immense energy of the two ancient gods, like a walking, unstable bomb. He coldly glanced at the weakened Yogg-Saron, as well as the other faintly visible auras deep within the Chaos Realm, filled with apprehension yet不敢再前前 (daring not to approach).

Having achieved his goal, he lingered, forcefully tearing through space, carrying with him chaotic and terrifying energy, as well as the aftershocks of an ancient god's fall, and departed from this nightmarish land.

The void shadow energy plundered from the chaotic realm was like cold venom, violently clashing with the still-unsettled golden light of order within his body and his own chaotic energy, as if trying to disintegrate the clouds from within. He endured this inhuman torment, feeling Mendisius's increasingly faint moans and the throbbing of that "seed" that seemed to toll the death knell of the universe.

There is no time to waste.

His gaze turned to the other end of the universe, a realm diametrically opposed to the chaotic void, yet equally rich in boundless energy—the Realm of Holy Light. According to fragments of knowledge left behind by the Firstborn, the Lightforged Star existed there, the core of the Legion of Holy Light, and the stronghold of the Zera.

"Light...hope...how ironic." Yun muttered to himself, a smile devoid of any genuine emotion tugging at the corners of his lips. He needed energy, regardless of its opposing attributes; he would forcibly seize it and forge it into the power to stop the end.

He raised his hand again, this time the chaotic energy mixed with the void properties of Yogg-Saron, making it even more unpredictable. He slashed fiercely at the purest, most intensely burning coordinates of light he perceived!

Space was torn apart, and a rift opened. On the other side of the rift was an endless, warm, and intense golden light, as if stepping into it could cleanse all filth and pain. A hymn-like chant faintly drifted over, filled with a sense of peace and redemption.

However, this sacred sight lasted only a moment.

When Yun's figure, a mixture of chaos, order, and void, exuding an extremely ominous and chaotic aura, suddenly appeared in this Kingdom of Light, the holy light of the entire world seemed to freeze.

The next second, a wave of hostility erupted!

"Darkness! The ultimate darkness has invaded!" A Lightforged Guardian roared, his entire body made of Lightforged metal radiating a resolute light, as he slammed his warhammer down towards the clouds without hesitation.

More Lightforged warriors surged forth from all directions, like a golden tide. The Naaru—those beings radiating a soft light, like living crystals—played a sacred symphony that was no longer soothing, but imbued with a powerful will to expel and purify. The light became blinding and aggressive, like billions of scorching golden needles piercing the soul of the clouds.

He hovered in mid-air, beneath his feet lay a smooth, mirror-like earth composed of pure holy light energy. He coldly observed all of this, looking at the pure, unquestionable "justice" in the eyes of the Lightforged warriors, and at the Naaru's will to completely erase him, this "abnormality."

There was no explanation, no communication. He knew that here, any words were superfluous. Just like in the Pantheon, just like in the Chaos Realm. They only believed in what they considered "right."

"Since that's the case..." Yun's voice was terrifyingly calm, yet it clearly penetrated the consciousness of every being amidst the intertwining of hymns and roars, "Then... give them all to me!"

He took a deep breath and then exhaled sharply, as if releasing all his power. With each breath, the surging, chaotic torrent of energy within his body, which he had been forcibly suppressing, finally broke free and rushed out like a wild horse!

This torrent of energy was predominantly a gray, chaotic mass, but interspersed within it were golden stripes of order plundered from elsewhere and dark, deep shadows of the void. They intertwined and merged together, converging into an extremely bizarre and terrifying energy storm.

This energy storm was like a ferocious dragon with its claws bared, spewing raging flames from its mouth and raging in all directions with devastating power! Wherever it passed, the air seemed to be ignited, crackling and popping; space itself seemed to be torn apart, with twisted black cracks appearing.

Just then, a dazzling, holy light suddenly descended from the sky, like a giant sun descending upon the world. This sacred, purifying light collided violently with the chaotic, raging energy storm, instantly unleashing a deafening roar. An extremely intense chemical reaction occurred between the two, like a drop of icy water being poured into boiling oil, producing a series of chilling sounds.

Seeing this, the Lightforged warriors swung their warhammers, slamming them with all their might against the wall of the energy storm. However, to everyone's surprise, their attacks were completely ineffective—the moment their warhammers touched the storm wall, they were immediately swallowed up by the chaotic energy, becoming unrecognizable in the blink of an eye!
