The Return to Hogwarts

Looking at Harry, who seemed a little emotional, Amosta frowned and said with a pained expression,
"Fire bolts, huh? Okay, no problem! As long as you can lure Black over here and let me save the wizarding world from the terrifying shadow of Black, I'll personally buy you one!"
Harry's heart skipped a beat. He wanted to tell Professor Blaine that he didn't need to do anything because he already had a very good flying broomstick. However, his body was obviously more honest. After hearing Professor Blaine's promise, his legs wouldn't obey him at all, and he darted into the gloomy alley with a whoosh.
But clearly, Black wasn't surprisingly foolish; Amosta and Harry's attempt lasted a week, only to end in failure.
Harry didn't care, but as the start of school approached, Amosta gradually became a little troubled.
Once Potter returns to Hogwarts and is under Dumbledore's protection, making that big sum of money won't be so easy, unless he himself goes back to the school and keeps an eye on Potter all day.
In the dark hotel, Amosta turned to look at Potter, who was snoring softly, and quietly pondered what to do next.
Honestly, if Amosta wanted to go back, it would be a very simple matter.
For example, he could apply to be a professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts again. Although the voodoo doll was gone, he could buy two centaurs or vampires with strong vitality from the underworld and use some advanced dark magic to transfer the curse. Also, Professor Kettleburn, who taught Magical Creatures, seemed to have retired. Although he wasn't an expert in that field, he could still fool the young wizards by simply reading from the textbook.
Alternatively, he could ask Foley to help him communicate with the Board of Governors again and allow him to return to Hogwarts as the Castle Security Advisor.
Tsk tsk, the castle security guard—Amosta Blaine?
In the darkness, Amosta grinned. This title couldn't compare to "Investigator," and it sounded rather low-class, somewhat like "Castle Keeper Filch."
All of the above were just Amosta's idle jokes. After his confrontation with Dumbledore by the Black Lake a few months ago, Amosta figured out Dumbledore's true feelings for him. If he wanted to return to Hogwarts, he only needed to write a letter, and Dumbledore would be more than happy to oblige.
However, the thought of Dumbledore standing behind his desk, his blue eyes shining in the firelight, looking at him who had 'repented', opening his arms with a 'kind and gentle' smile, and saying something like 'Welcome back to Hogwarts', made Amostella feel nauseous.
Even if it means going back!
Amosta rolled over, staring at the bright, full moon outside the window, and muttered viciously.
"Only if old Dumbledore himself comes to my door, confesses his sins, sincerely apologizes, earnestly invites me, and promises to pay me a salary at the level of a schoolmaster, will I consider it!"
The writing of this book has been going quite smoothly until now, but now I've finally encountered the painful writer's block...
Chapter 147 Future Plans
"Porter, Porter--"
As dawn broke and a soft light appeared, a cool breeze drifted through the old window grilles in the mid-August morning. The fresh air was mixed with a mysterious aura that belonged only to magic. With a gentle call, Harry opened his sleepy eyes.
Getting up was extremely difficult. Because of the intense 'labor' of the past few days, Harry felt as if his whole body was groaning, as if he had gone through Wood's pre-match training camp. He struggled to get up, looked at the window with a blank stare, and found that he could not see anything.
cuckoo-
The mocking chirping of Hedwig, perched in the birdcage hanging in the window, stirred Harry's stiff mind. He fumbled around on the pillow, muttering to himself.
“My glasses—” Then Harry noticed a hand holding something to his nose.
"Um, thank you--"
Harry nodded his thanks, fumbled to put on his glasses, and when his vision cleared, he was surprised to find that Professor Blaine was already dressed and looked like he was about to go out.
"Wait a moment, Professor Blaine, I'll get up right away."
The socks were on the floor by the edge of the bed, and the clothes were at the foot of the bed. Harry lifted the covers, preparing to climb to the foot of the bed to get his clothes. According to his daily routine these days, after he was dressed and had breakfast downstairs, Professor Blaine would take him for a 'walk' through the maze-like alleys on both sides of Diagon Alley.
“Wait, Potter—”
Just as Harry was about to get up, Professor Blaine pressed down on his shoulder, immobilizing him. Harry blinked and looked up, only to be surprised to find that Professor Blaine's expression was somewhat different from when they had been together these past few days.
Harry couldn't quite put his finger on what was different, but he had a vague feeling that it was much 'colder,' somewhat like the expression Professor Blaine had when he encountered some overly active young wizards in Defense Against the Dark Arts class last semester.
“You can stay in your room and get some rest now, Potter. I need to go out and take care of something. I’m letting you know in advance so you don’t wake up and find me missing and start looking for me everywhere.”
Seeing Porter's puzzled look, Amosta smiled slightly and offered an explanation.
Do something
Such a vague statement immediately alerted Harry. After a few thoughts flashed through his mind, Harry jumped out of bed with a whoosh.
"You found him, didn't you?"
Harry's suppressed voice was tinged with excitement and agitation, "You found Sirius Black, so you're going to deal with him now?!"
"What does this have to do with anything?" Harry's wild imagination left Amosta speechless.
“We’ve been together these past few days, Potter. If I really do find out about Black, then you’ll know too.”
“Oh, that’s true—” Harry muttered, touching his hair that was sticking up and wouldn’t lie flat.
"So, that's the situation, Potter. I'll be back in about two or three hours. In the meantime, you can wander around and kill time, but don't leave the Leaky Cauldron."
After giving his earnest instructions, Amosta left the room and disappeared from Harry's sight.
A strand of hair swayed in front of Harry's eyes as the breeze stirred, making him, who hadn't slept well, a little irritable.
The street below the window was very quiet, with hardly any people coming or going. Harry squinted at the clock and realized it was only a little past six o'clock. It was a bit early to go downstairs for breakfast. He took off his glasses, slumped back onto the bed with a thud, pulled the covers up, and put his arm over his eyes to block out the already glaring light.
tick-
The seconds have skipped the top '12', and the time is 6:10.
What exactly did Professor Blaine do?
Once he regained consciousness, it was difficult to fall back asleep, and this question kept popping into Harry's mind as he closed his eyes and pretended to sleep.
Speaking of which, what exactly does Professor Blaine do? That's another question without an answer.
Last semester, Professor Blaine told everyone in the first Defense Against the Dark Arts class that he was a 'freelancer' who made a living by running errands, finding potion ingredients, and delivering goods. At the time, not many people believed him.
Later, as the lessons continued and the young wizards gained a clearer understanding of Professor Blaine's magical skills, especially after Harry witnessed Professor Blaine effortlessly dealing with the basilisk in the Chamber of Secrets in Slytherin, Harry became even more certain that it was just a way to fool them.
Dean Thomas, his roommate at Hogwarts, once guessed that Professor Blaine was probably a bounty hunter employed by the Ministry of Magic to hunt down dark wizards and fight criminals.
This claim does have some merit, especially since Professor Blaine has now been entrusted by the Minister of Magic to look after him and is working so hard to hunt down Sirius Black, who has escaped from Azkaban.
Harry rolled over, facing the wall, his thoughts continuing to race.
So, did Professor Blaine's mysterious departure at this time receive new instructions from the Ministry of Magic?
This was the most likely possibility, Harry thought.
To be honest, he himself has never considered what kind of job he will do after graduating from Hogwarts.
At school, most of the young wizards around him lived their lives in a similarly clueless way.
Ron has never mentioned what he wants to do in the future. Harry knows Ron well, and he thinks that Ron's only requirement for any job he wants in the future is that it pays well.
Although this ideal is not exactly noble, Harry believes that it is not really Ron's fault.
The Weasleys were indeed the best family Harry had ever met, but because they had so many children, their financial situation was truly dire.
Moreover, Ron has five outstanding older brothers and a little sister who is pampered by the whole family. He not only doesn't enjoy a wealthy life, but also has to deal with the fact that so many brothers and sisters divert the Weasleys' love.
As for his other good friend Hermione, to be honest, among all the young wizards currently studying at Hogwarts, Harry can't find anyone who can surpass Hermione in terms of diligence in their studies.
But she never mentioned what she wanted to do in the future. Harry thought Hermione might stay at Hogwarts after graduation and work as a professor. After all, she and Professor McGonagall were very similar in many ways.
Of course, not everyone's understanding of the future is so unclear. Harry knows that Ron's brother, Percy, is determined to work for the Ministry of Magic, and Fred and George are fascinated by researching magical joke products and will definitely want to continue this 'noble' cause in the future.
About himself.
Harry moved his arm away, opened his eyes wide, and stared at the slightly yellowish wall, lost in thought.
Harry wasn't opposed to working for the Ministry of Magic, but the only problem was that the Ministry's selection criteria were extremely strict, and his grades were a major issue.
Like Wood, aspire to become a Quidditch star?
Quidditch is Harry's favorite sport, so becoming a star player would be a great option.
Or, like Professor Blaine, become a freelance bounty hunter?
Without realizing it, Harry grinned. Fighting evil was a really cool thing, and this was a good choice, although he could never become a powerful wizard like Professor Blaine.
tick-
The seconds ticked past '12' again, and the time was 6:11.
Wow!
Harry jumped out of bed and dressed in just ten seconds. Without even putting on his socks, he slammed the door shut with a bang, stepping on his heels.
Chapter 148 Tracking
As Harry passed the bar, the bar owner, who was wiping glasses with a tattered rag, enthusiastically asked him what he would like for breakfast. But Harry didn't have time to answer the question. He swept past Tom like the wind, stepped out of the back door of the bar, and only had time to pull up his heels while he was knocking a brick in front of the trash can.
As Harry stepped into the widest commercial street in Diagon Alley, the sudden brightness made him momentarily dazed. He glanced across the row of shops and noticed that many of them were still closed.
The cobblestone streets were nearly deserted. Harry took a few breaths of the fresh morning air to suppress his nervousness about following Professor Blaine. His eyes darted left and right, and with the talent of the youngest Seeker in a century, he easily spotted Professor Blaine walking toward Gringotts, the tallest building in Diagon Alley.
Harry pursed his lips, his gaze fixed on the slender figure with a hint of hesitation.
To be honest, even now, he doesn't know why he made the decision to follow Professor Blaine. Maybe it was just out of pure curiosity!
As a wizard passed by, Harry looked at him with strange eyes. He suddenly realized that he had forgotten to take down the invisibility cloak he had inherited from his father. That thing was a great help for tracking and stealth.
"Professor Blaine can see through the disguise of an invisibility cloak—"
The invisibility cloak is very useful, but it's not foolproof. Last semester, on the night Ginny was attacked and Lucius Malfoy stormed into Hogwarts to cause trouble, both Professor Blaine and Professor Dumbledore saw through the cloak's invisibility in Hagrid's hut.
