The Return to Hogwarts

"Should we take this opportunity to get one and study it?"
Amosta thought to himself with a smile as he opened the wooden door to the private room for Fudge.
Chapter 145 Fifty Thousand and One Hundred
Amosta and Fudge stood in the corridor saying their final goodbyes. Although Amosta knew that Potter was upstairs, he had no intention of going to greet him. The Savior was currently in a new crisis, and if he got too close to him at this juncture, he could foresee that he would likely be drawn into it as well.
This also means that he will once again be exposed to Dumbledore's gaze.
Although he knew very well that fate would eventually lead him to Hogwarts, he still had a few important things to do at this time.
First and foremost, finding Vitia Creona's whereabouts is the most important thing right now. The revelation that the woman received from the shadow that emerged from the Twin Serpents Staff gives Amosta a very bad feeling. He has a premonition that if Vitia really does something according to the shadow's revelation, it will probably bring a lot of trouble to his future self.
Of course, the Druids have been completely separated from the magical world for many years, so it is foreseeable that finding this woman will not be something that can be done overnight.
So, Amosta planned to take some time to find himself a place to live—the dormitory at the orphanage was now complete and everything was on track. Amosta's financial situation had improved a lot, and after years of being constantly on the move, it was time for him to find a stable home.
Once both matters were settled, Amosta planned to retrieve the basilisk from Newt Scamander.
This matter is actually not simple. First of all, this famous expert on magical creatures is a wizard who is not easy to deal with. Moreover, it is rumored that Newt and Dumbledore have a close relationship. Once the news of Newt being 'robbed' is received, the astute Albus Dumbledore will definitely react.
"Perhaps, it would be a more opportune time to act when Newt returns the Basilisk to the Ministry of Magic and it is exhibited overseas—"
As he waved goodbye, Amosta was making plans in his mind.
"Oh, please wait a moment, Amosta—"
Fudge, who had already stepped onto the stairs, suddenly turned back and called out to him urgently.
"Is there anything else you need, Minister?"
Amosta turned around, raised his eyebrows in surprise, and suddenly had a bad feeling.
"I just remembered something, it's a bit troublesome, but of course, just in case."
Fudge rubbed his hands together, looking a little embarrassed, but he still voiced his request.
"You want me to look after Potter, who ran away from home, until he returns to Hogwarts. Is the Ministry of Magic worried that Black will attack Potter?"
Hearing the Minister of Magic's request, Amostella frowned slightly, her bad premonition confirmed.
"Oh, that's just one possibility!"
Fudge, afraid of revealing something, quickly began to explain.
“Actually, this job should be done by the Ministry of Magic, but, you know, the Ministry is short-staffed right now. To find Black, we even sent Eric, the doorman, out. Seriously, I need to seriously discuss with Barty the matter of expanding Hogwarts’ enrollment next year. Amosta, you were Potter’s professor, so you must have a good relationship with that kid. Besides, your skills are superb.”
"I'm sorry, Minister."
Before Fudge could finish speaking, Amosta interrupted him with a regretful expression.
“I really wish I could help, but I’ve been dealing with some tough issues lately that I need to address first.”
"Ok."
Fudge nodded in disappointment. Even as Minister of Magic, he had no right to demand that others obey his orders, especially a non-Ministry of Magic employee who possessed a Merlin Second Class Medal.
Fudge muttered to himself as he went back up the stairs.
"Following that child actually gives you a good chance of meeting him. Oh, and with a reliable lead, it'll cost 50,000 Galleons."
How many? !
Just as Amosta was feeling relieved to be rid of trouble, his heart suddenly skipped a beat. He strode up the stairs, very rudely grabbed Fudge's shoulder, his eyes gleaming.
"I must have heard you right, Minister. You mean the Ministry of Magic will offer 50,000 Galleons as a reward for killing Sirius Black?"
"Kill Blake?"
Fudge stared blankly at Amosta's suddenly overly eager expression for a while before managing a dry laugh.
"What are you talking about, Amosta?"
Fudge shook his head and said, "Even in Azkaban, Black is one of the most vicious people in the group. Only well-trained Ministry of Magic elites and Dementors could possibly deal with such a villain. We don't expect anyone else to be able to subdue him, but if we have concrete leads—"
Amosta nodded repeatedly, looking as if he understood.
"If we kill him, or capture him alive, Minister, is it possible that the reward will be even higher?"
“If that’s really the case, Amosta—” Fudge smiled slightly, his expression as if he were facing a young man full of unrealistic fantasies, and said cheerfully, “then it won’t just be a matter of Galleons. If you really capture Black and hand him over to us like that basilisk, then you will undoubtedly become the most dazzling hero in the wizarding world, and your second-class medal will be upgraded to first-class.”
The First Class Medal was meaningless to Amosta, and the Hero title was a joke, but the real 50,000 Galleons...
"No problem, Mr. Minister."
Amosta declared righteously, "I will keep a close eye on Potter until he is caught. I will stay by his side every step of the way. In short, I am mortal against evil!"
Fudge: "."
The moon was already setting in the west. Potter leaned against the soft pillows, looking with respect at Professor Blaine, who was writing incessantly on parchment at his desk.
You reap what you sow. There is no such thing as excellence without effort. Amosta Blaine was able to forge his own magical path at such a young age and possess magical strength that others could not even dream of. Talent alone cannot explain everything.
"--So, you just blew your aunt's name up? Heh, interesting. Fudge said you ran away from home; I thought you'd had some kind of conflict with your aunt and uncle."
Harry scratched his cheek and smiled sheepishly. To be honest, he never dreamed he would run into Professor Blaine again so soon. Earlier, when Fudge and Professor Blaine appeared in front of him together and told him that because of the turbulent times, Professor Blaine would be taking care of him until the start of school, he was almost speechless.
This incident also made Harry realize just how much panic the Ministry of Magic felt about Voldemort's henchmen.
Fudge told him that Professor Blaine was accompanying him only as a precaution against a certain possibility, but he didn't specify what that possibility was.
Considering the Ministry of Magic's leniency towards him, and the Minister of Magic's personal search for him, Harry immediately realized that the Ministry of Magic had basically confirmed that Black's escape was most likely to be to find him and avenge Voldemort. Otherwise, why would such a high-ranking figure as the Minister of Magic personally come looking for a lost young wizard?
But for some reason, Harry didn't feel particularly panicked; instead, he felt a strange sense of anticipation.
Perhaps it's because Headmaster Dumbledore is at school, and Professor Blaine is outside of school, that Harry is eager for Black to come find him so that the two of them can meet!
“That Blake, Professor—”
Seeing Professor Blaine stop writing with his quill, Harry seized the opportunity to ask, "He's a very capable fellow, isn't he? Otherwise, why would the Ministry of Magic be so concerned?"
“Maybe, Porter—” Amosta said, rubbing his eyes and yawning. “I’ve only heard some rumors about him before he was arrested, so I can’t give you a reliable assessment.”
“But he certainly won’t be a match for you, right?” Harry pressed on.
"Well, before he was arrested, that Blake used a spell to blow up half a street, killing more than a dozen Muggles on the spot,"
Amosta stood up, shaking his slightly sore neck.
"He's really impressive, Sirius Black. I could probably only beat a hundred of them at once."
Chapter 146 Conditions for Return
Leaving the Dursleys, his stay at the Leaky Cauldron was much more enjoyable than he had imagined. In recent years, he had rarely experienced such a carefree summer vacation. He could sleep until the sun was already scorching hot every morning, then lazily go downstairs for breakfast, chewing on a slice of bread while observing the other passersby walking through the bar.
Because of Sirius Black's escape, the Leaky Cauldron's business plummeted, and the wizards who lingered there became increasingly eccentric, with the vast majority preferring to conceal their appearance under large black cloaks or layers upon layers of bandages.
These people would hide in a corner or behind the wooden pillars supporting the bar, order a drink, and sit there all day watching the passersby.
Harry once asked Professor Blaine what these strange wizards were doing.
“Rivals, Porter, they are all my competitors.”
Professor Blaine glared fiercely at the wizards, gritting his teeth, and gave an answer that left him completely bewildered.
For the first few days, Harry was preparing for the next school year, taking out his living expenses from Gringotts, replenishing potion ingredients, buying new robes, and purchasing textbooks for the next school year. Harry thus figured out why Hagrid had sent him a spellbook that looked very unsettling, and happily said that it would come in handy.
With Professor Blaine's guidance, Harry easily figured out what to do for his summer homework in his two most troublesome subjects—History of Magic and Potions.
A week later, Harry, having completed all the preparations for the start of school, was ready to enjoy his wonderful summer vacation. However, Professor Blaine's behavior became strange.
Every morning after getting up, he would take Harry to wander around Diagon Alley, not in the bustling commercial streets, but specifically in those secluded alleys where few people passed by. He would let Harry wander around those alleys by himself while he trailed far behind.
This was truly baffling. Harry didn't want to waste his precious time exploring Diagon Alley; he'd much rather browse the bustling shops, especially the Quidditch boutique, where he found what he had longed for most in his life.
"The world's fastest flying broomstick! The Irish International Club just placed an order for seven of these premium broomsticks!" the shop owner enthusiastically proclaimed. "They're the darlings of this World Cup!"
"Stop looking, Potter!"
Amosta yanked Harry, who had squeezed to the front of the crowd, out of the throng. Noticing the longing in Harry's eyes, Amosta glanced listlessly at the 'broom' being displayed.
"We still have important things to do!"
Harry gazed longingly at the Firebolt until it was far away, then looked at Professor Blaine with a mournful, tearful expression.
"Are you expecting Sirius Black to attack me?"
"Oh!" Amostella looked surprised. "You're much smarter than I thought, Potter. I thought you wouldn't be able to figure it out!"
Harry:
"Don't look so down, Harry?"
Amosta affectionately put his arm around Harry's shoulder and said...
“We are undertaking a much nobler cause. Think about it: if the two of us catch Blake soon, we can prevent more innocent people from being harmed by him!”
Harry:
"All right!"
