Because Rolf was a freshman and had a lot to buy, the group set off very early.

Upon arriving at Diagon Alley, they split up as they had agreed beforehand.

Rolf's mother took him to buy a suitable wand, while his father went to buy things like cauldrons.

Steven and Wade went to the pharmacy first.

Wade wants to order some potion ingredients, and will ask the shopkeeper to mail them to him after he arrives at school.

The shops in Diagon Alley have been doing business with Hogwarts students for many years, and their reputation in this regard has been built up over the years, so there is no concern that they will break their contracts.

Steven then needs to buy some deworming powder for his cats and then sell some materials he collected from the farm, such as motra rat juice.

After walking around for a while, the group agreed to meet at the ice cream shop. Wade and Steven sat down at a table outside the shop to rest for a bit, had some drinks, and then waited for Rolf, who had just ordered his new school uniform.

"Mom, please buy me a firework that's difficult to pull out," Rolf pleaded, tugging at Mrs. Scamander's sleeve. "Even just one will do!"

“No,” Mrs. Scamander said gently. “The school doesn’t allow you to bring such things.”

“I won’t take it to school; I’ll just leave it at home,” Rolf said. “I want to see what it looks like when it blooms in water.”

"Buy it for him," Rolf's father pleaded for his son. "What child can live without toys?"

On their way to Flourish and Blotts, they stopped at the Magical Jokes Shop.

Rolf was dazzled by the variety of magical fireworks, and Wade bought a few of each kind. Steven even recommended a jar of colorful candies to him.

"This is very interesting. After you eat it, a plant will sprout on your head. It will disappear after a few minutes, so don't worry about it being harmful to your health."

As Steven spoke, he took two cans for himself.

Other items include playing cards that shuffle automatically, quill pens that suddenly turn into giant spiders, and realistic toads that can emit a foul stench.

Wade wasn't interested in these prank toys; he glanced at them and put them down.

There were more people around Flourish and Blotts than I expected, but most of the crowd was gathered outside, and most of them were middle-aged witches.

They lined up in a winding queue at the entrance, each holding one or two books, occasionally fixing their hair or patting their skirts.

Several adults hesitated in front of the crowd, while Vydra and Rolf nimbly slipped through the gaps in the crowd.

Most people were at the book signing, so the store was relatively empty. The two told the clerk their ages, and the young man expertly handed over two pre-packaged parcels.

"Do you want all new books?" Seeing that they were both children, the clerk kindly reminded them, "If you want used books, we can give you a discount."

"A new book is great, thank you."

Both Vader and Rolf pulled out Galleons to pay.

Gilderoy Lockhart's books are not cheap; two heavy bags of gallons sat on the table.

The two, carrying books, slipped out of the bookstore and happened to see Gilderoy Lockhart holding Harry's hand while posing for photos. The people around them were excitedly chattering, but Harry looked like he wanted to run away.

"Harry Potter? He's here too?"

When Rolf heard Harry's name, he tried to stand on tiptoe and crane his neck to see.

Unfortunately, he was too short, and all he could see were densely packed backs, so he couldn't see the black-haired boy at all.

Seeing Rolf nearly get bumped by the crowd, Vydra pulled him aside and asked, "Curious?"

“Of course!” Rolf said excitedly, “I grew up listening to his stories! I heard that he recently thwarted another of the mysterious man’s plots, is that true?”

"It's true. But you don't need to squeeze in now. Once you get to school, you can see him every day."

"Can I take a picture with him too?" Rolf pressed. "I want to hang his picture on my wall."

Wade said, "I have a camera. But whether or not you can take a photo together, you'll have to ask him directly."

Vader pulled Rolf outside, and they could still hear Lockhart's voice behind them—

"I am extremely pleased and proud to announce that this September, I will become the Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!"

Fortunately, I have found myself a truly skilled Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.

Wade muttered to himself.

Otherwise, he would have to find a way to get rid of Lockhart.

After Wade safely returned Rolf to his parents, he heard the boy excitedly tell them, "Mom and Dad, guess who's there?"

“Lohart?” Mr. Scamander responded.

"No, it's Harry Potter! He's taking a picture with Mr. Lockhart, and the reporters are taking their picture!"

Rolf jumped for joy: "I'm going to be Harry Potter's classmate!"

"Be steady." Mrs. Scamander wiped the sweat from his forehead and instructed, "Also, don't ask him about his scars, and don't ask him about the first time he defeated the Mystic, understand?"

“Why, Mom? I’m so curious!” Rolf exclaimed.

“Silly child, he lost his parents back then!” Mrs. Scamander said gently.

Suddenly, chaos erupted in the crowd; some screamed, while others frantically tried to escape.

Wade heard one of the Weasley twins yell, "Beat him up, Dad!"

Mrs. Weasley cried out, "No, Arthur, no!"

“Try this, Ron Weasley!” Malfoy’s voice was particularly clear.

“I think I heard a familiar name.” Wade handed the rest of his things to Steven. “Hold these for me while I go see what’s going on.”

He squeezed back into the crowd and saw Hagrid easily separating Ron's father, Arthur Weasley, and Lucius Malfoy, one in each hand.

Harry pulled Ron and Malfoy apart from their fight, secretly taking sides. Malfoy's eye socket was bruised from a punch Ron landed on it.

Lucius Malfoy, his pale blond hair covered in dust, awkwardly broke free from Hagrid's arm and shoved the tattered Transfiguration textbook into Ginny Weasley's hands.

“Take your book!” he said arrogantly and disdainfully. “It’s the best your father could give you.”

Vader's wand, hidden in his sleeve, flicked gently. Ginny suddenly stumbled and fell as if she had been pushed.

"Lucius Malfoy, how could you lay a hand on a child!"

Arthur Weasley was enraged and was about to pounce on him again, but Hagrid stopped him once more.

"That's outrageous!" The half-giant was also angry. He looked at Malfoy with disdain: "If this is all you can do, you'd better not show your face in front of me!"

Chapter 120 Diary

Malfoy was furious, his face turning red, but he was speechless with anger. His past deeds were there for all to see; no one believed he hadn't done it on purpose.

"A poor family can only raise such poor tricks!"

Malfoy snorted and beckoned to his son; the two quickly left.

“You shouldn’t talk to him, Arthur. That guy is awful…”

Hagrid helped Mr. Weasley smooth out his robes while offering his words of advice.

Ginny Weasley, who had tripped and fallen, hurriedly picked up the books that had spilled all over the floor, including a set of books that Harry had given her.

Lockhart's complete set of books was ridiculously expensive; even emptying the Weasley family's coffers wouldn't be enough to buy a single one.

The Weasley brothers and Harry helped her collect the books, and they were all quickly put away. Then a stranger's hand handed her an old textbook and asked, "Is this the last one?"

"It should be... thank you."

Ginny quickly took it, feeling a little sad that she could only use such an old thing.

She suddenly realized that the voice was unfamiliar, and when she looked up, she saw that it was a boy she didn't recognize.

"You are……"

"Wade?" Harry said happily, "You're here to buy books today too?"

“Yes,” Wade said naturally. “I heard it’s Lockhart’s new book launch today. I’m quite curious about this adventurer.”

"What adventurer?" Ron scoffed. "He's just a boastful peacock!"

“Don’t talk nonsense!” Hermione retorted immediately. “Have you even read his books? Gilderoy Lockhart is always venturing into desolate places and dealing with the most dangerous creatures!”

Ron's mouth slowly opened as he looked at Hermione, who was exactly like his mother, as if he were seeing a giant dragon dancing.

“Wake up, Hermione. You can tell at a glance, right? He’s just a pretty boy!” Ron exclaimed incredulously.

His words drew angry glares from the many Lockhart fans around him; if he weren't a child, he would definitely have been ganged up on and beaten up.

Hermione was also angry: "Don't slander him! Mr. Gilderoy Lockhart is a very brave man! He can even defeat a werewolf single-handedly!"

Harry's expression became slightly awkward at the mention of "werewolfs." He quickly changed the subject, saying, "Alright, let's not talk about that. Wade, have you bought all your books?"

“Yes, I’m going back.” Wade waved his hand. “See you at our school.”

……

Steven dropped Wade off at home before leaving. When Wade opened the door, he found the house empty; there was no one there.

He knew that the Grays had organized the company's employees to work overtime today to complete an urgent order, so he wasn't surprised that he didn't see them.

Back in his bedroom, Wade took out his pencil case and tapped it lightly with his wand.

This level of application will not trigger the Ministry of Magic's monitoring of the trail.

The pencil case unfolds layer by layer, transforming into the shape of a suitcase.
