Li Xiuyuan led Bodhidharma into the path of cultivation, and his future achievements will be limitless.

Yi Jin Jing is a type of innate internal energy cultivation. True Qi can circulate within the body and be continuously generated. When generated by the palm, an invisible force can surge forward, which can injure the enemy's internal organs and block the opponent's swords and weapons.

To cultivate this skill, one must see through the illusions of "self" and "others," and one must not harbor even the slightest thought of cultivating martial arts.

Monks who practice superior martial arts are bound to be courageous and diligent, hoping to achieve something great.

Everyone wants to benefit from this, but achieving a state of "no distraction" is extremely difficult.

As for the "Marrow Cleansing Classic", once it is mastered, it can cleanse the body of all impurities and evils, and prevent interference from any hallucinations, making the body as pure as a newborn baby.

When Li Xiuyuan was cultivating, he relied on the Supreme Marrow Cleansing Pill, which allowed him to skip this step and enabled his cultivation to advance by leaps and bounds in the future.

At this time, the Yi Jin Jing and Xi Sui Jing were not yet perfect. Li Xiuyuan could draw conclusions from them after just listening to them. He said calmly, "Hmm, they're not bad. This Xi Sui Jing is suitable for you. I'll help you improve it!"

As he spoke, the golden Buddha statue in his upper dantian continuously demonstrated the two cultivation techniques.

The image of the golden Buddha suddenly appeared behind Li Xiuyuan, accompanied by a series of Buddhist chants.

After a long while, Li Xiuyuan opened his eyes. Under his Great Sun Golden Buddha, any cultivation method could directly address the essence, unless it was more powerful than the method he cultivated.

Otherwise, Li Xiuyuan could have deduced it all.

Of course, this is the Great Sun Tathagata True Sutra he cultivated. The Dharma images condensed by others are either those of the Tathagata Buddha or Li Xiuyuan, and therefore lack this function.

Li Xiuyuan pointed his index finger, and a beam of golden light entered Damo's mind. He said, "I have helped you perfect the Yi Jin Jing and Xi Sui Jing. You can continue to practice both of them. As for the Great Sun Tathagata True Scripture, you will have to wait until your cultivation breaks through before you can practice it."

The Yi Jin Jing is not only a method for cultivating internal strength, but also has the effect of changing muscles and bones. As for the Xi Sui Jing, it can cleanse the body of impurities.

Li Xiuyuan allowed Bodhidharma to continue his studies in the hope that he would perfect his foundation and have greater potential in the future.

He had the Supreme Marrow Cleansing Pill back then, so he skipped this step.

Bodhidharma nodded in response, "Yes, Master!"

As he spoke, he clasped his hands together and bowed in greeting.

The two martial arts techniques in his mind became extremely refined, which made Bodhidharma secretly grateful.

Li Xiuyuan said calmly, "Bodhidharma, I don't know where you come from or where you are going."

It is said that Bodhidharma was from ancient India; I wonder if the world has changed since then.

Bodhidharma, upon hearing this, dared not conceal the truth and said, "Reporting to Master, I am from India and have come alone to the East solely to propagate the great Dharma of Buddhism."

Upon hearing this, Li Xiuyuan pondered for a moment and said, "Oh, in that case! You shall come with me on my journey!"

The Indians, later known as India, lived in a vast and perilous world. How did they manage to reach that point step by step?

Li Xiuyuan couldn't figure it out, nor did he delve into it, assuming that this person might be the reincarnation of a great supernatural being, or perhaps blessed by the fortune of heaven and earth. However, he was now his disciple.

It seems that taking the initiative to accept Bodhidharma as a disciple was indeed a brilliant move.

Bodhidharma nodded in agreement.

Actually, even without Li Xiuyuan saying more, Bodhidharma wouldn't have left. He still wanted to learn more about Buddhist teachings from him!

This is the reincarnation of the Buddhist monk who subdues dragons. If one receives his teachings, one will surely make rapid progress in Buddhism.

The two monks, accompanied by a horse, swiftly traveled across the desert. In his spare time, Li Xiuyuan would help Bodhidharma resolve some of his questions. There were many Buddhist scriptures in Lingyin Temple, and his attainments in Buddhism were unmatched by anyone far away.

However, because he had brought Bodhidharma with him, Li Xiuyuan couldn't kill indiscriminately along the way. He could only preach profound truths to convert people, except for certain special cases. After all, he had to set a good example for his disciple.

Chapter 20 Ancient Capital of Luoyang

On this day, the two traveled to a country that was in the midst of war. If Li Xiuyuan was not mistaken, he had arrived at the chaotic end of the Sui Dynasty, which was also the Tang Dynasty.

There are many figures in the martial arts world, such as the free spirit Ning Daoqi, the Heavenly Blade Song Que, and the Six Paths of the Demonic Sect, all of whom appear in this Tang Dynasty.

Li Xiuyuan thought to himself, in this chaotic era, every martial arts world in later generations exists. Now that he has come to the Tang Dynasty, he naturally wants to join in the fun.

First, Li Xiuyuan's Golden Bell Shield has reached the eleventh level. If he wants to break through further, he will need to use some rare treasures. In addition, his Supreme Heavenly Demon True Scripture has finally entered the second level.

However, if he were to cultivate in the proper order, it would probably take half a year. He had a faster way, which was to retrieve the Evil Emperor's Relic from the Tang Dynasty and allow himself to accumulate the second layer of demonic power.

In addition, Li Xiuyuan also has Bodhidharma as a burden. He can't keep him around forever, so he needs to be settled down. It would be best if he were placed in the Tang Dynasty.

In short, Li Xiuyuan had various considerations, which is why he stayed in the Tang Dynasty for the time being, and the two of them traveled from Hebei.

At this time, due to the chaos at the end of the Sui Dynasty, all the various warlords were busy fighting each other.

There were eighteen rebel kings fighting in various places. They were Li Mi of Wagangzhai, Li Yuan of Taiyuan, Li Gui of Daliang, Xiao Xian of Liang in Jiangling, Wang Bo of Jining, Shen Faxing of Jiangnan, Gao Shida of Jizhou, Zhu Can of Nanyang, Li Zitong of Fengming in Hebei, Zhang Jincheng of Jinti, Xue Ju of Xiqin, Meng Haigong of Songyi in Caozhou, Gao Tansheng of Baiyu in Xiangzhou, and Xu Yuanlang of Lu in Yanzhou.

Furthermore, the Sui Dynasty was no longer a name in the true sense of the word. Along the way, the people suffered greatly, and incidents such as exchanging children and eating each other were common occurrences.

Although Li Xiuyuan and Bodhidharma were willing to save people, it was only a drop in the ocean; after all, they could hardly save everyone in the world.

On this day, Li Xiuyuan and Bodhidharma arrived in Luoyang.

Luoyang is situated on the south bank of the Yellow River, with Mangshan Mountain to the north, the Luo River to the south, Hulao Pass to the east, and Hangu Pass to the west. Surrounded by mountains, it lies the Luoyang Plain, through which the Yi, Luo, Chan, and Jian Rivers flow. It is not only strategically important but also boasts beautiful scenery, fertile soil, a moderate climate, and convenient water transport.

The so-called Heyang is the place where the capital was established, located in the Central Plains and responding to the four directions. Luoyang is a vital transportation hub and military stronghold.

After Yang Guang ascended the throne, he selected a new capital site in Luoyang and established a new capital.

The new imperial city is located between the Zhou Dynasty capital and the ancient city of Han and Wei. It extends east beyond the Chan River, south across the Luo River, west to the Jian River, and north to the Mang Mountain. The city has a circumference of over fifty li and is magnificent.

Yang Guang then had Luoyang as the center, and dug a Grand Canal that ran from south to north, connecting the five major river systems of the Hai River, Yellow River, Huai River, Yangtze River and Qiantang River. Luoyang became the central hub of transportation and commerce in the country.

As dawn broke, the city gates opened, and large numbers of merchants and farmers, who were waiting to enter the city to do business, and farmers heading to the early market, filed into the city.

Luoyang was far larger than any small city. The south gate alone had three gates: the middle one was called Jianguo Gate, the left one was called Baihu Gate, and the right one was called Changxia Gate. The gates were magnificent in design.

At this time, Wang Shichong was in charge of Luoyang, and he was in a standoff with Li Mi of Wagangzhai. The city was heavily guarded.

Li Xiuyuan, accompanied by Bodhidharma, mingled in the crowd and swaggered into the city through the south gate.

The Buddhist community held immense power in the Tang Dynasty, so monks were highly sought after, and the soldiers guarding the city naturally dared not stop them.

After Li Xiuyuan and his disciples entered the city, it broadened Bodhidharma's horizons. It was the first time he had seen such a large city in the East on his journey.

But before me stretched the wide "Sky Street," a main street that ran a hundred paces through the north and south gates, a straight stretch that must have been seven or eight miles long.

The streets are lined with various trees such as cherry blossoms, pomegranates, elms, and willows. The central road is the imperial road used by the emperor for his processions. At the turn of spring and summer, the peach blossoms are red and the willows are green, creating a picturesque and breathtaking scene.

Shops lined both sides of the main road, and roads branched off between the neighborhoods, intersecting with the ten main streets that ran through the major city gates, all in an orderly fashion.

Bodhidharma asked, "Master, do you know where we are going?"

Along the way, he felt deeply the suffering of all living beings and wished he could sacrifice himself to take their place.

Upon hearing this, Li Xiuyuan pondered for a moment and then said, "Let's go to Jingnian Temple then!"

The Buddhist community of the Tang Dynasty wields immense power; if it is not properly utilized, how can one live up to one's status?

What he pursues is the Great Dao, and saving people is merely a matter of lifting a finger. If the world truly becomes peaceful, there will probably be no place for the "Holy Buddha System" to be used, whether one is a Buddha or a demon.

Jingnian Temple was located in the south of Luoyang City. After the two entered the city, they quickly learned its exact location.

Jingnian Temple is nestled deep in the woods, with hundreds of buildings, resembling a small town, except that it is inhabited by monks.

Li Xiuyuan took out the World-Destroying Black Lotus, circulated the Great Sun Tathagata True Qi, disguised it as the Merit Golden Lotus, and flew to the ninth-grade lotus platform. Accompanied by golden petals, he floated down from the lotus platform.

"Amitabha!"

A loud Buddhist chant came from Li Xiuyuan's mouth, and everyone within a ten-mile radius could hear it clearly.

hum!

Jingnian Temple was the foremost temple in the Tang Dynasty, and its monks were all elites. When this loud Buddhist chant was uttered, no monk could fail to hear it.

Tread!

A series of hurried footsteps approached, and a tall, handsome monk was seen leading the way, striding out of the temple.

He must have been the foremost figure in the Buddhist community of the Tang Dynasty, the Zen master Liaokong, who practiced the silent meditation.

This man was not a gloomy old monk; he was a young and handsome monk who looked no older than forty.

He has a slender and handsome figure and a straight nose, which makes him look very individual.

The curved shape of his upper lip and the slightly upturned lower lip accentuated a certain indescribable charm, which looked both very handsome and leisurely on his slender face.

He had a broad collar and a handsome face with a kind of otherworldly aura. His expression was neither weak nor condescending, but rather comfortable and natural to look at.

[Note: This book is composed of various martial arts worlds and countries, each with its own history. For example, the Qin Dynasty preceded the Sui and Tang Dynasties, and the Qin Dynasty also exists here.]

Readers are encouraged not to dwell on these points and to focus solely on the creation of this book.

Chapter 21 Jingnian Zen Temple

Na Liaokong wore a yellow inner robe and a brown outer robe, which made him stand out from the crowd with his extraordinary and transcendent demeanor.
