After a long pause, he managed to utter, "Did you learn to draw in kindergarten?"
Peter: ?
Chapter 170 Thanos and the Black Order
The first figure Peter drew was a man making strange movements, as if he were awkwardly dancing. He was wearing a mask that looked like metal on his head and holding a pair of laser guns, which appeared to be his weapons.
However, due to Peter's mediocre drawing skills, his body looks small, with only his head appearing particularly large.
Well, overall it looks like a chibi-style cartoon character.
This is also why Strange criticized him.
Peter retorted stubbornly, "This is how you draw quick sketches, what do you know, you wizard!"
“Hey, hey, ‘mage’ isn’t an insult. Are you trying to say I’m old-fashioned? I was way more trendy than you back then. Have you ever been to a bar? Have you ever gone to a party with a sexy, hot girl? You little brat,” Strange retorted sarcastically.
"Quickly take a look at who he is. Do you recognize him? This is very important!" Peter slammed the paper in his hand in front of Strange and continued drawing on the second sheet.
Strange picked up the paper: "This looks so strange, it's probably only found in the microscopic world. You're really good at drawing."
Peter ignored him. He had never studied drawing, and the fact that he could draw it and capture the main features was already quite good.
Peter quickly drew the remaining three as well.
Strange held the first painting in his hand, his gaze quickly sweeping over the second and third.
But when his gaze fell on the fourth drawing Peter had just finished, he was stunned.
"Thanos."
Peter heard the words spoken by Strange.
“Thanos? Is that this guy’s name?” Peter asked.
Strange nodded, then reached out and beckoned to the bookshelf not far away.
Books flew up one by one.
Strange's eyes scanned the books quickly, and soon he pulled one out.
The rest flew back to the bookshelf and returned to their original positions.
Strange placed the thick book on the table.
The book automatically started turning the pages.
“There was once a Sorcerer Supreme who, after retiring from his position, left Earth to travel to the stars and returned to write this travel diary.”
"According to this travel diary, there exists a vast force in the universe called the Dark Order, and the leader of the Dark Order is Thanos!"
"He is a Titan, whose planet was once on the verge of destruction due to overpopulation and insufficient food supply. Thus, Thanos conceived the idea of helping the universe achieve so-called 'balance'."
"He formed the Dark Order and had five loyal followers known as the Obsidian Five."
"One of them, known as 'Supergiant,' once fought and killed the Sorcerer Supreme who wrote this travel journal. However, the Sorcerer Supreme was also severely traumatized as a result. He returned to Earth, wrote the travel journal, and then died."
"It is clear that the remaining Obsidian generals are likely to be beings of the same or even greater rank as us Supreme Mages!"
"Thanos, leading his Dark Order, ravaged the universe for a long time, destroying one civilization after another under his clutches!"
"Now, his target has finally been Earth?" Peter interjected, surprised.
He seemed to understand the content of his premonition dream: it must be Thanos leading the Black Order to destroy Earth, and the scene of them fighting him.
But where are the other members of the Avengers?
Former Avengers Captain America, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Vision, and now Taskmaster and War Machine?
Why are only he and Iron Man there, and the others aren't Avengers?
Peter frowned, sensing that things might not be as simple as he had imagined.
Strange nodded, then shook his head.
He said, "Actually, Thanos's interest in Earth began several years ago!"
"A few years ago?" Peter hesitated for a moment, then a thought flashed through his mind. "You mean the Battle of New York in 2012! The Chitauri army that appeared, was Thanos's Black Order?"
“That’s right,” Strange said. “The Chitauri army has been operating as a mercenary force in the universe for a long time.”
"The Chitauri army, under the guise of hiring, earns money and resources to strengthen itself while plundering the technological heritage of other civilizations. At the same time, they are also fulfilling Thanos's ideal of 'balancing the universe'."
"But the Chitauri army is just one of Thanos's forces!"
"This is just the tip of the iceberg of Thanos's power?" Peter was somewhat shocked this time.
He recalled the Battle of New York scenes he had seen in a documentary, which was said to be only a part of the entire Chitauri army.
The Avengers at that time included Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, and Hawkeye. Except for the latter two, whose combat power was within the range of ordinary people, the first three were all very strong.
Even so, the Chitauri army, though only a portion of it, still destroyed most of Manhattan, leaving the Avengers almost helpless.
According to Strange, the entire Chitauri army was only a part of the Black Order!
Thinking about it this way, Peter had a vague idea of just how powerful Thanos was.
That's enough to instill fear!
"Stephen, are you hiding something? You must know something, right?" Peter suddenly looked up, staring intently at Strange. "By the way, you said before that you used your Time Stone to see the future, so you saw this war back then? The Infinity Stone War? The terrifying being you mentioned, is that Thanos?" (See Chapter 113 for details)
Strange's thorough investigation of Thanos and his henchmen suggests that he didn't simply read the travel diary as a storybook and then memorized it.
When you put it all together, it seems that this is the only way to make sense!
Strange must have witnessed this scene, which is why he gathered information about Thanos beforehand, allowing him to speak about it so quickly now.
Peter continued to persuade him, "Are you worried about something? I want to say that no matter what you see, no matter whether things will turn out well or badly in the future, I believe that the future can be changed!"
"The fate of the Earth will not be determined by the 'future' you see, or by the 'prophetic dreams' I have!"
"We are the Avengers, fighters against darkness!"
"Our destiny is in our own hands!"
Strange's expression changed repeatedly.
Finally, he sighed deeply: "Alright, you win. I'll tell you everything I know. Bring Stark along too; we need his help with this."

So Peter spoke to Steker first to make sure no one else around him saw what was happening.
After Stark confirmed that everything was correct, Strange opened a portal.
Stark immediately appeared on the other side of the portal.
Despite having been informed in advance, Stark was still taken aback.
He only regained his composure after seeing Peter.
However, he didn't come over immediately. Instead, he moved closer to the edge of the portal and even reached out to touch the light ring around its edge.
Strange immediately stopped him.
"Come here quickly, Mr. Iron Man."
Stark then crossed the portal and arrived here.
Swish!
The portal's glowing circle disappeared immediately.
Stark glanced back, his curiosity growing: "Is this some kind of phase-shifting technology? Or a wormhole?"
“No, it’s magic,” Peter explained, then kindly advised, “Tony, give up, we can’t learn this.”
"Why?" Stark asked, puzzled.
Peter said, “Because I have been studying for a long time, but I still haven’t gotten the hang of it. In their words, it’s very difficult for people like us, who are so deeply rooted in physical logic, to make any progress in the field of mysticism.”
Stark seemed lost in thought.
Clearly, this miraculous experience has planted a seed in his heart.
Given Stark's past experience of creating the Hulkbuster armor to fight the Hulk and planning to create the Thor anti-Thor armor to fight Thor, it's not hard to guess what this seed is.
Peter had no idea what Stark was thinking, but even if he did, he wouldn't be worried, since it wasn't something that was "opposite" to his purpose.
Strange should be the one with a headache.
Strange was even more unaware that this tech whiz was secretly plotting to "rebel" against him.
He gestured and led Peter and Stark back to the desk.
With a snap of his fingers, the study went dark.
The bookshelves all around, and even the sunlight that had been streaming in from not far away, all disappeared at that moment.
Peter was alright; his body gave him the ability to see in the dark. He was a little disoriented for a moment when it went dark, but his vision returned in less than a second.
Yes, it's still very dark, since there's basically no light around.
