Chapter 29

After class, the children all gathered around Ita's seat and started chattering away.

"Ita, which country are you from?"

"Ita, your eyes are golden, are they natural?"

"Ita Ita, what do you call potatoes in your country?"

"Is the hat you're wearing a characteristic of your country?"

"woo"

Faced with so many people talking in a language she couldn't understand, Ita was at a loss for what to do. She clutched her skirt tightly in a panic and secretly turned to Caesar for help.

Ita arrived at school so quickly because Caesar had told her that she would be going to kindergarten, where she would meet all sorts of children and play games together.

As they talked, Ita began to yearn for it, wanting to go to kindergarten with Caesar. Then Yumilia mentioned it to the kindergarten principal, and everyone there clapped their hands in response.
"Just come! We can handle the enrollment procedures at the same time! Anyway, there aren't many admission requirements for kindergarten."

So Ita was sent here this morning and placed in Caesar's class.

But Xiaolong underestimated everyone's enthusiasm. Surrounded by so many people, she immediately lost her composure.

"We really arrived too early."

Seeing her like this, Caesar sighed helplessly, stood up, and waved to the people around him.

"Alright, don't forget what the teacher said. Ita can't understand Iro language, so she won't understand anything you say."

When Itha saw Caesar approaching, she immediately stood up and hid behind him like a kitten.

"Huh? Why are Ita and Caesar so close?" a student asked, puzzled.

“Because she’s living in my house now,” Caesar said matter-of-factly.

"real or fake!?"

"Are you a foreigner, Caesar?!"

What is the relationship between Caesar and Ithaca?

A barrage of questions came at me.

"she"

Caesar turned and glanced at the little dragon with its neck shrank, then addressed all the students:
“She is my family,”

Although this explanation is completely untenable given his family situation, there's no need to explain it further to a bunch of kids anyway. Saying that his family members do things with her in the meantime makes it more plausible.

Ah, Leogard, I never thought I'd be related to you one day.

"So this is ah!"

Just moments before, Felicity was unhappy that Ita's arrival had stolen her thunder, but upon hearing Caesar say that she was family, she immediately stood up, a happy smile spreading across her face.

"I was wondering why he looked so much like Caesar, and why he had black hair too! Oh, I see!"

Hearing her say that, the other classmates nodded as if they suddenly realized something. So that's how it is. Caesar and Ithaca both have black hair and are both so good-looking, which makes perfect sense.

"Hello, Ita! I'm your friend Caesar, my name is Philie, you can just call me Fifi. Let's be friends from now on?" she said warmly as she leaned closer.

Ita glanced at Philie, then looked at Caesar with a puzzled expression.

Caesar glanced at Philie, but still whispered to Ita, "Her name is Philie, and she wants to be your friend."

"Oh."

Ita nodded and said to Feli:
"Mud Howl."

"Hello, look, this is for you, consider it my gift."

Felicity handed a small bracelet to Ita.

Ita held the bracelet, blinking as she looked at it.

"Is it pretty?" Felicity asked.

"Beautiful?" Ita tilted her head.

“I’m just asking if you like it,” Caesar said. “Oh,” Ita nodded knowingly, holding up the bracelet to Felicity and saying, “Beautiful, thank you.”

"Really? I'm glad you like it!" Felicity was delighted.

Then Ita raised her hand, pointed at Feli, and said, "You are beautiful."

"Huh?" Phily opened her eyes wide in surprise upon hearing this pure praise.

I originally just wanted to get along with her and annoy Caesar, but I didn't expect her to be so direct.

What a good child!
"Okay! Then we're friends." Felicity said, taking Ita's hand. Ita instinctively wanted to pull back, but she held back and forced a smile.

Chopper, who was holding his spider jar in the back, hesitated when he heard that it was Caesar's family, but he also wanted to go up and say hello.

Caesar noticed him and said to Ita, "This is Chopper. He's our neighbor, living right next to our house. We usually go to and from school together."

Ita nodded at Chopper and said politely, "Neeho."

Chopper blushed slightly and stammered:

"Hello, I am Chopper, and this is Ball, my pet."

Ita’s gaze was fixed on the glass jar in his hand, looking at the hairy, long-legged spider inside.

"You like it too, Spider?" Chopper asked, delighted to see her interest.

"A spider?" Ita looked at the spider in the jar and nodded subconsciously.

"Then I can show you. It's very well-behaved and doesn't bite."

It was rare for someone to care about his hobby, so Chopper happily opened the jar and took out the spider.

Several girls nearby immediately screamed and ran far away.

"You can touch it," Chopper said, seemingly oblivious to anything else, and handed it over.

Ita looked at Caesar.

“If you’re not afraid,” Caesar said.

So Ita reached out and took the hairy-legged spider, watching the furry arthropod crawl on her fair and delicate palm.

The children around were stunned; they never expected that such a delicate girl as Ita would be unafraid of spiders!
“Look, isn’t it well-behaved?” Chopper said.

Ita looked at it for a while, then grabbed it, opened her mouth, and took a bite.

Caesar reacted quickly, grabbing her wrist and snatching the spider away.

"What are you doing! You can't eat this!" Caesar shouted.

“But I’ve had it before, it looks a lot like this, it’s red and it’s delicious,” Ita said, pointing her hands at the front of her with a pitiful expression.

"You're talking about a crab, right? It's not even the same kind as this thing," Caesar said helplessly, handing the spider back to Chopper.

Chopper is now dumbfounded. When he saw Ita trying to swallow Ball whole, his mind went blank. Now he realizes that he almost made Ball cry.

He quickly stuffed the ball back into the glass jar and then moved far away from Ita, as if afraid she would still be thinking about it.

The people around were also frightened by what they had just witnessed.

"Ita, were you going to eat a spider just now?"

"Perhaps the national spider of Ita is edible?"

"Ita is so brave! She actually dared to grab the spider with her bare hands!"

"Even better than boys!"

Ita felt the praise from those around her. Although she couldn't understand a word, she could still feel the exceptionally warm atmosphere. It seemed that everyone was eager to welcome her, their new friend.

Surrounded by everyone, and with Caesar by her side, she gradually relaxed. Caesar hadn't lied to her; everyone was friendly and didn't dislike or fear her.

She began to feel that interacting with humans wasn't so bad after all.
