Let's start over, Your Majesty.

Chapter 28 New Classmates

Chapter 28 New Classmates

"Caesar, look, Qiuqiu has had babies! There are so many! I've collected them all."

As soon as Chopper arrived at kindergarten today, he couldn't wait to show Caesar the eggs laid by his hairy-legged spider. Each egg was a bright yellow ball, and he carefully wrapped them in a handkerchief.

"Hehe, I'm going to protect them all carefully. When they hatch into little spiders, I'll show them to Ms. Cecily. She said she loves small animals the most, so she'll be very surprised!" Chopper said with anticipation.

"You should at least let Cecily go," Caesar said.

Chopper was enthusiastically fiddling with his spider eggs when he suddenly remembered something and asked, "By the way, Caesar, I came to look for you yesterday but you weren't home. Where did you go?" Chopper asked, puzzled.

"I went to the city to take care of some things."

Actually, the mission was to go to the city to obtain a temporary care permit for Ita, a lost child.

Fein has laws stipulating that citizens can apply for temporary care if they encounter a lost child. Of course, this requires the family applying for care to have sufficient creditworthiness; families with past disputes or criminal records are definitely not eligible.

Now that the caregiver application has been approved, Ita has successfully become a member of his family.

All that's left is to wait. If Ita's family comes looking for him, he'll be able to make contact with the dragons.

"Wow! Felicity, you're wearing a new dress! And you have a new look, you look so beautiful."

Just then, a girl's voice exclaimed in admiration. Felicity entered the classroom, wearing a new purple dress with lace trim. Her two ponytails were tied with large bows, highlighting her vibrant energy.

"Yes, my dad came to see me this weekend and brought me several new dresses. If you like them, come to my house and I can lend them to you," she said with a bright smile.

"Huh? Really? Can I do it too?"

"Of course!"

As soon as she sat down, the girls around her all came over and started chattering.

"Philip, you're wearing a new dress! It looks beautiful!"

Devin arrived at that moment, and upon seeing Felicity, his eyes lit up as he rushed over.

"Hmm, is it pretty?" Felicity greeted him with a smile.

"It looks nice. But won't you get such a pretty dress dirty when you play games at school?" Devin said worriedly.

"Oh, yes, that's true, but there's nothing we can do about it."

Devin leaned closer and said earnestly, "Then please let me protect Felicity! I will be like a knight, guarding Felicity's side and protecting your dress from getting dirty!"

"Then... I'll have to trouble you." Felicity forced a smile.

After the other children had all left, Felicity glanced at Caesar, who was still reading a book beside her, coughed, and said with a smile:
"Good morning, Caesar!"

"morning."

The response was as perfunctory as ever, and Felicity pouted slightly in dissatisfaction.
"Oh, and Dad also brought me back lots of cute bookmarks! Look, aren't they pretty?"

She pulled a stack of stiff cardstock bookmarks with animal designs from her schoolbag.

"Hmm," Caesar said without looking up.

"If you like one, I'll give you one. You can choose one."

"I don't need it."

Phyllis could tell from the obvious creases on the corners of his book that he was one of those who didn't use bookmarks.

"Fine, then I don't want it," Felic muttered, pouting.

She had just tossed the bookmark back into her bag when she saw a hairy spider the size of her palm crawl out of her desk.

Her face turned pale.

"There's a spider!!"

The screams immediately echoed throughout the classroom, and Feli was so frightened that she almost jumped onto her desk.

"Qiuqiu! You're here! I was just looking for you."

Chopper quickly came over, caught the spider, and put it back in the glass jar.

"Chopper, can't you watch your spider?! It's crawling around everywhere, what if it bites me?!" Phily yelled at him, her voice trembling with tears. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to. And Ball isn't poisonous," Chopper said sheepishly.

"You think it's not poisonous just because you say so? Humph! If you keep this up, I'll tell the teacher and make you throw that spider away!"

Felicity was very angry, and the girls and Devin quickly came to comfort her while blaming Chopper.

Chopper, his head drooping and face flushed, sat there silently as the group of people talked him out of his mind.

"Enough! Be quiet!"

The increasingly loud scolding made Caesar frown and he shouted at them sternly.

When he shouted, the sound became much softer, turning from a loud scolding into a soft chirping.

"Chopper, you'd better stop bringing spiders to school." He then turned to Chopper and said.

"Oh," Chopper said softly, head down.

Felicity glanced at Caesar and muttered something under her breath.

Just then, the school bell rang, and Ms. Cecily entered the classroom, and the children returned to their seats.

Cecily, standing on the podium, rubbed her stiff cheeks, patted her chest as if to encourage herself, took a deep breath, and then put on a bright smile befitting a professional kindergarten teacher, saying in a sweet voice:
"Children, I have some good news to tell you today!"

"Is the teacher finally getting married?"

A child asked in a childish voice.

"Haha. The teacher doesn't have a boyfriend yet," Cecily said, her lips twitching.

"Yes, we're welcoming a new classmate today! She's a really cute girl! Everyone should get along well! Come on, Ita, please come in."

A small figure walked gracefully in through the door, immediately attracting everyone's attention, and the classroom instantly fell silent.

Today, Ita wore a simple light blue short dress, her long black hair was tied back with a blue ribbon, making her look like a jellyfish. She wore a beret on her head, which not only added decoration but also covered up the dragon horns on her head.

She stood there, facing so many children below. Although she had been slowly getting used to human society over the past two days, she was still very nervous. Her two small, snow-white hands were nervously twisted together in front of her.

Cecily gently patted her shoulder as a reminder, and Ita quickly said:
"Everyone, hao, wo, wo call it ita, xianghe everyone chew bowl yo."

She introduced herself in broken Elo, a language Caesar had taught her for an entire night.

“Since Ita is a foreigner and doesn’t speak Iro language, please take good care of her,” Cecily said.

"So beautiful!"

"Foreigners? I've never seen them before."

Wow! Her eyes are golden!

"She looks even better than Felicity."

"what?"

Upon hearing this, Felicity's eye twitched.

"Ita, please pick a seat you like."

Ms. Cecily gestured to her with her hands.

The kindergarten's tables and chairs are all single-person, which makes it easy to put them together when playing games. There are only a few empty seats left at the back.

Itah stepped down from the podium and, under the gaze of the crowd, walked to Caesar's side. He then stood there motionless, like a guard standing beside Caesar.

“Um…” Cecily was a little confused about what she was doing.

Caesar rubbed his head helplessly, lowered his head and whispered to her in Dragon Language, "Sit in the chair behind me."

"Oh."

Ita then turned around and sat in the empty seat behind Caesar.
