Chapter 93 Interdimensional Teleportation

Chapter 93 Interdimensional Teleportation (24th Update)

After all the modifications were completed, the entire Mann squad underwent three days of intensive acclimatization training on the sandy open ground outside the abandoned town outpost.

Everyone needs to familiarize themselves with their new equipment, new abilities, and new modes of collaboration with each other.

Rebecca's heavy bomb gun fired with a deafening roar each time, the recoil enough to knock over an ordinary strong man, but she stood firmly thanks to her enhanced bones and muscles, the muzzle flash illuminating her excited face.

The wreckage of an abandoned car was instantly torn into twisted metal fragments by the impact of the bomb.

Pila tested his flamethrower. He pulled the trigger, and a thick, hot stream of promethium fuel roared out, hitting the pile of discarded tires and instantly igniting a towering flame. The high temperature caused the surrounding air to distort violently, even scorching the sand into glassy crystals.

He smugly adjusted the spray angle, muttering, "Now that's art! Much more exciting than those flashing fluorescent tubes!"

Sasha and Qiwei were conducting electronic warfare collaborative tests.

The two worked together to create an invisible electronic barrier. Within its range, all unauthorized electronic devices, including training drones and several old terminals, instantly went black and crashed.

Sasha focused intently on maintaining the barrier's stability, while Qiwei attempted to build a secure communication network within it. Her fingers slid rapidly across the virtual interface, and data analysis streams flickered in her modified pupils.

Falco tested his new reflexes and driving skills.

He drove a brand-new Goodwood SUV, making all sorts of incredible sharp turns and drifts on the complex obstacle course, his tires kicking up clouds of dust.

Enhanced dynamic vision and neural reflexes allow him to anticipate paths and control the vehicle as if it were his own body.

Dorio and Mowell conducted a more restrained confrontation exercise.

Dorio tested the limits of her physical defense, using her arm, covered in new composite armor, to block the rapid slashes of Mowell's inactive sonic blade, producing a dull metallic clang.

Mowell maintained her efficient and calm style. Her movements were unpredictable, and each attack precisely targeted Dorio's weak points, with perfect control of the force.

Mann watched as his teammates became familiar with the new force, feeling both gratified and somewhat solemn.

He could sense a qualitative leap in the team's fighting power, but he also understood that having such power meant that the challenges they would face in the future would be completely different.

During a training break, Rebecca wiped the barrel of her bomb gun and said to Pila, "Hey, skinny guy, now I think we can really turn Arasaka Tower upside down!"

While checking the flamethrower's fuel lines, Pila replied, "Come on, little one, the boss didn't tell us to dismantle the pylon. But... if we encounter the company's mechs again, my darling will definitely turn them into molten iron!"

Falco stopped the car, took off his sunglasses and wiped them, reminding him, "Don't get too cocky. The company won't ignore our current situation."

Dorio walked over, beads of sweat glistening on her bronze skin, but her breathing was steady: "Falco is right. We must be more cautious and better control these new forces, and not cause trouble for the boss."

Sasha and Qiwei finished their electronic warfare test. Sasha breathed a sigh of relief and said to Qiwei, "The coordination was pretty good. The barrier strength and duration both exceeded expectations."

Qiwei nodded. Although she didn't speak, her eyes showed less of the usual aloofness and more recognition of the teamwork.

Mann gathered everyone together for a training debriefing: "Everyone can feel it; we've been transformed. But this is just the beginning. We must become as familiar with these new equipment and capabilities as we are with our own arms. The tasks ahead won't be easy, and the boss needs us to prove the value of this investment."

After three days of acclimatization training, the team rested and conducted a final check of their equipment.

Everyone was full of confidence in their new state, and an unprecedented sense of cohesion permeated the team.

Just as they were preparing to proceed with their next action plan, Chen Yu's summons was transmitted directly to the base's communication terminal via the workshop's servo skull.

The instructions were concise and clear: all members must immediately proceed to the main workshop for a mission briefing. Everyone sprang into action, donning their full combat gear.

Rebecca slung the bomb gun over her back, Pila checked the pressure gauge on the flamethrower, Sasha and Qiwei ensured the data receiving equipment and encrypted communicator were working properly, Falco and Dorio conducted a final check on the weapon status, and Mann oversaw the overall situation, checking everyone's readiness.

Mowell was already prepared, standing silently to the side like a drawn blade.

They solemnly stepped into the workshop again, and the interior had changed since their last departure.

The dimensional teleporter was in an unprecedentedly active state, with the central energy focal area radiating blinding light, and the constantly twisting and deforming dark blue light cluster seemed to contain destructive power.

A deep, rhythmic hum filled the space, making one's teeth ache and one's heart pound involuntarily.

The air was filled with a strong smell of ozone and a strange, indescribable feeling, as if the space itself was being stretched and torn apart.

Chen Yu's tall, dark red figure stood with his back to them in front of the main control console.

Several of his mechanical tentacles are directly connected to the control panel's interface, seemingly directly interfering with the flow of energy.

He didn't turn around; his cold, steady synthesized voice penetrated the roar of the equipment and went directly into everyone's auditory processor: "Adaptation cycle complete, experimental phase officially launched."

Your next task is to traverse the stabilized fissure and reach the other end, a coordinate point that has been preliminarily scanned and assessed as relatively safe.

He paused slightly, and the data stream on the console refreshed like a waterfall.

"Your primary task is survival. Death is a meaningless waste. This is your top priority. Survive for at least three days. After three days, I will reopen the dimensional rift and bring you back."

"The secondary task is to contact my subordinates left over there. I will send a servo skull to accompany you through the dimensional rift. Once you reach the other side, you will simply follow its orders."

His voice was devoid of any emotional fluctuation, as if he were reading a standard operating procedure manual, but every instruction carried an unquestionable authority.

"Stand in the designated position." Chen Yu raised one of his mechanical tentacles and pointed to a circular area precisely marked by optical cables on the base of the teleporter.

Mann took a deep breath, glanced at his teammates behind him, and took the lead, walking in with firm steps.

Dorio followed closely behind, while Mowell moved silently to the flank of the team.

Rebecca and Pila exchanged a glance and followed, their faces showing a mixture of nervousness and anticipation.

Falco took a deep breath and stood in a position relatively in the middle of the line.

Sasha and Qiwei were the last to enter, standing at the back of the group. They had already begun to communicate in hushed tones, preparing to deal with electronic interference during the transmission process.

Chen Yu's crimson optical lens was fixed on the wildly jumping data stream and energy reading curve on the control panel, and his mechanical finger entered confirmation on the last set of instructions.

"Final energy injection sequence initiated. Stable field output maximized," the servo skull reported in a monotonous electronic voice.

The auxiliary lighting in the workshop went out instantly, leaving only the intensely pulsating, eerie blue light emanating from the core of the teleporter, a light so intense it was almost blinding.

No delays, no debts, I keep my word. I said I'd update 24 times, and I meant it. So where are the monthly tickets? Where are the subscriptions?
