Chapter 48 Training
Upon hearing the sound, a smile appeared on Ulan Aodeng's face before he even turned around.

"Hey! My sweetie!"

He crouched down, picked up Maido who was rushing towards him, spun her around twice, and then put her down again.

"Dad, I've brought you two new students."

Maido pointed to Red Gun and Dawn behind her.

"Oh? Since it was brought by my darling, then Dad will have to take a good look at it."

His sharp gaze instantly locked onto the two people outside the arena.

His gaze was scrutinizing, as sharp as a hawk's.

He first habitually ruffled Maido's hair, then strode over, his tall figure exuding an invisible sense of oppression.

He focused his gaze entirely on Red Collar and Dawn, scrutinizing them carefully from head to toe.

“Oh, I know you. You were brought back by Boss Yang.” Ulan Aodeng’s voice was still loud, but it lacked the sternness from before.

Hong Kou composed herself and met his gaze: "Principal Qiushi taught us to perceive the source essence, but learning to return to the origin is very difficult."

“We heard that you are an expert in Guiyuan Physical Training, and we thought... perhaps starting with basic physical training would make it easier to find the right direction.”

Ulan Aodeng's gaze swept over the two of them again, lingering for a moment longer on Po Xiao's obviously well-trained and explosive physique.

Finally, the light fell on Hong Kou's face, which was filled with curiosity.

"Basic training?" He raised a thick eyebrow and crossed his arms.

"Sure, but I need to know first, what skills did you learn on that iron lump of a lighthouse, besides operating that bulky gravity machine?"

Po Xiao stepped forward and answered in a steady voice, "It mainly involves combat skills, close-quarters fighting, as well as the use, maintenance, and tactical coordination of various firearms."

“Mixed combat…firearms…” Ulan Aodeng repeated the two words. He nodded knowingly, and the smile on his face became somewhat playful.

“Alright, the Lighthouse’s most elite hunter captain and her adjutant are definitely not bad either, but…”

He paused, then looked at them intently.

"Our system here might be a little different from what you're used to."

He pointed to the still empty sandy land behind him.

"Since you're here, don't just stand there. Let me see what your Lighthouse religion is all about."

Ulan Aodeng said no more, but walked steadily toward the center of the open sandy land.

Those who were preparing to awaken wanted to turn around and look, but were stopped by a shout from Ulan Aodeng.

"What are you looking at! Keep practicing!"

He stood casually, his hands hanging naturally at his sides, his body slightly relaxed, but his broad shoulders and straight spine exuded an inexplicable aura.

Po Xiao knew that this person was ridiculously strong just by looking at his posture.

“Come on, young man.” Ulan Aodeng beckoned to dawn, his playful smile deepening.

"Let me see what a lighthouse is like."

Without the slightest hesitation, Po Xiao took a deep breath, his eyes instantly sharpening.

He nodded to Hong Kou and then walked over.

Clench your fists and raise them to protect your head, lower your body slightly, arch your back slightly, and lean your center of gravity forward.

Suddenly, the sand beneath his feet was kicked away by an explosive force, and he shot forward like an arrow, heading straight for the middle of Wulan Aodeng in the most concise and efficient route.

This is a combat technique that the Lighthouse originated from, derived from, the combat tactics of special forces in the Old World.

Abandon all fancy tactics and pursue the goal of destroying the opponent's combat power or life in the shortest distance and in the shortest time in the most direct way.

At dawn, he charged forward, his right fist like a hammer, aimed straight at Ulan Aodeng's heart, while his left hand was poised to block or launch a follow-up attack.

A glint flashed in Ulan Aodeng's eyes. Instead of retreating, he met the fist that was coming from Dawn.

He took a half step forward with his left foot, inserting it diagonally into the inside of the Dawn Breaker's trajectory.

Just as the iron fist of dawn was about to strike, Ulan Aodeng's body suddenly sank, as if he had shrunk in the air.

'suck'
A long, drawn-out breath escaped Ulan Aodeng's lips. He neither met the attack head-on nor completely dodged it.

He used his right arm to deflect Dawn's fist, and then used his left hand to block Dawn's arm.

After deflecting the fist, Ulan Aodeng pulled his fist back to his waist and then swung it out again.

Move, block and beat!
Po Xiao felt as if his fist had struck slippery cotton; the power he had gathered was deflected by a clever force.

My body's center of gravity was involuntarily pulled forward.

His extensive fighting experience made him want to change his tactics immediately.

However, Ulan Aodeng was faster. While deflecting Dawn's right punch, his fist was already close to Dawn's abdomen!
"boom!"

A dull thud resounded!
As dawn broke, he felt as if he had been hit by a car, and a sense of powerlessness instantly spread throughout his body.

Po Xiao grunted and staggered a few steps.

Ulan Aodeng helped him stand up by supporting his shoulders.

His chest heaved violently, his face turned pale, and his eyes were filled with shock as he looked at Ulan Aodeng.

"What was that move just now?"

Dawn had never seen such fighting techniques at the Lighthouse before. Even if Instructor Elon came, he would probably have to take two punches first.

Ulan Aodeng released his grip, his eyes revealing a hint of understanding and scrutiny:

"Things passed down from the Heluo region."

"You guys are probably practicing old-world fighting techniques. Your muscles and bones are well-developed, and your explosive power is also quite good."

He looked at Dawn and Red Armor, who was equally stunned beside him.

“You have a good foundation, but you’ve been training in the wrong direction. You only know how to use brute force and don’t understand how to breathe.”

As dawn broke, clutching her aching stomach, the initial shock was slowly replaced by a strong thirst for knowledge.

"Again!" Dawn suppressed his surging blood and qi, his eyes rekindling with fighting spirit.

Ulan Aodeng laughed heartily: "Good lad! Not bad! You have a spirit that refuses to admit defeat!"

He waved his hand and pointed to the edge of the training field: "That's enough for today, Dawn Boy, you need to take a break from your belly."

“From now on, you two,” he said, his gaze fixed on Hong Kou and Po Xiao, “after you finish Qiu Shi’s class, come to me and start with the most basic standing meditation and breath regulation.”

Hong Kou observed silently, and she keenly noticed that Wulan Aodeng's breathing seemed unusual when he made his move.

Fighting also involves breathing rhythms, but they are completely different from the breathing of Ulan Aodeng just now.

Maido clapped her little hands excitedly at this moment.

"Dad is amazing! Dawn Bro is amazing too!"

Ulan Aodeng laughed and walked over to pat Maiduo's little head.

Maido looked up and said, "I want to learn too, but I want to learn how to use a gun!"

"Learn to shoot?"

Ulan Aodeng naturally knew that Maiduo wasn't talking about the kind of gun that fires bullets by pulling the trigger.

"Sweetie, learning to shoot is really tiring. How about we learn something else?"

Ulan Aodeng wanted to refuse, since using a spear as a weapon meant that he would have to fight in close combat.

“The village isn’t short of weapons, so why don’t we learn to use those bullet-firing guns? They’re not tiring.”

"If all else fails, a bow and arrow will do," Ulan Aodeng said, pointing to the trainees preparing for enlightenment not far away. "Look, that sister chose a bow."

"No."

Maido struck a pose as if she were holding a long spear.

"Learning to shoot is awesome!"
