Chapter 31 We Are All Outsiders
That night.

Bloody was very familiar with the place and had infiltrated Bardington Manor countless times.

He pushed open the door to the bedroom on the third floor, and Patty, as always, was sitting in her wheelchair, waiting for him in front of the floor-to-ceiling window.

Compared to when Xue Ni first met her, she seemed more like a normal, living person.

The lifeless feeling was completely gone from his body, and his clear eyes were much more lively than before.

Upon seeing Xue Ni, the corners of her mouth involuntarily turned up in a smile.

"We agreed to brush the pony's hair today, and you're late! Bloody."

Bloody's face was somewhat numb. Hearing Patty's words, he spoke slowly.

"Some things took a backseat before I came."

He was acting very strangely today, and Patty, being a smart girl, noticed something was off.

The air was silent for a few seconds.

"We can't put this off any longer, can we? You have to erase all memories of you from my mind?"

Bloodny gripped his wand tightly. He didn't want to show a pained expression on his face, but he couldn't control his expression at all, so he could only lower his head and say.

“I have to do this, Patty. I have no other choice. They don’t want any Muggles to know anything about magic.”
She stared intently at Xue Ni, her upturned lips still smiling, though it was obvious that her eyes had turned red at some point.

“It’s alright, Bloody, you don’t need to apologize for this. I’m very grateful to have met you and to have spent so many days with you.”

The scene fell silent, and after an unknown amount of time, Patty spoke again in a soft voice.

"Can I ask you for one last favor?"

Xueni looked up at her.

"There is an iron box in the bottom compartment of the wardrobe."

Following Patty's instructions, Xueni found the tin box in the wardrobe. At Patty's prompting, he opened the tin box and found a whole stack of the largest denomination British pound banknotes, as well as some jewelry that was obviously very valuable.

"You are the only person I can trust. After erasing my memory, could you help me send these to Lawson Orphanage in Bristol?"

Xueni looked at the things in the iron box with a puzzled expression.

"why?"

Patty pursed her lips and said calmly.

“My father was in a car accident. That disaster took away my mother and half of myself. But it wasn’t just us who were hurt. There was another family too. The couple died in the accident, and their three children survived, but two of them were left with lifelong disabilities.”

“This is my father’s fault, but he only gave the three children who have become orphans very little compensation. I think this is very unfair to them.”

Blood Ny felt the iron box in his hand was getting hot.

"Those things..."

“The last bit of property my mother left behind, the rest, has all been divided up by them.” Patty looked at Xueni, tilted her head, and smiled faintly. “Don’t worry, Xueni, this is the only thing I can control, it won’t cause you any trouble.”

On this night, when Bloody had already mentally prepared himself and was determined to sever all ties with Patty, Bloody was ready to do so.

He ultimately did not take action.

He accepted the box Patty asked him to deliver to the orphanage, along with Patty's promise that after he completed this last task, the two would sever all ties completely.

Under the cover of night, Bloody left the manor with the box of valuables and returned to the remote and secluded castle hidden in the woods southwest of London.

He wasn't the only one living there; Wolper and a lazy goblin named Hara also lived there.

When Hala put down the box and started rummaging through drawers to find something to eat, she immediately noticed what was inside.

He took a deep, blissful breath.

"Ah! It smells like money! It reminds me of my time as a security guard at the Gringotts branch in France!"

As he spoke, he crudely opened the iron box without Xue Ni's permission, and his eyes widened when he saw what was inside!

"My God! Bloodni, whose house did you rob?! What a haul! It's an absolute haul!"

Greed was evident in his eyes.

"These Muggle coins have limited redemption limits in Gringotts, and although it's not a small amount, these jewels and ornaments are the real valuable things!"

Upon hearing his voice, Bloodny, who had just found a hard, dry pie, immediately rushed over like a madman and roughly snatched the tin box from Hala's arms!

"You're not allowed to touch this!"

Hala was angry; he glared at Bloodni.

"Fine! You want to break your promise? We agreed that I would get 30% of all your spoils, and I would be responsible for finding the blood plasma for you! My 30% should be rightfully mine!"

“These things weren’t stolen!” Xueni said, head bowed. “Patty asked me to pass them on to someone else.”

Hala stared with his huge eyes.

"Patty? Who's that? A rich girl?"

At this point, his eyes lit up, and he rubbed his hands together: "My God! You're so clever, Blood Nymph! You gained her trust, didn't you? You deceived her with sweet talk and flattery! And then you swindled all this money out of her!"

Bloodni stared at Hala, threatening him with a ruthlessness never before seen on his face.

"You won't even touch these things! If your filthy hands dare to reach out, I'll bite them off! I mean what I say, Hala!"

That night, Xueni didn't sleep a wink; he guarded the iron box relentlessly. Hala was furious; he yelled and screamed, pouring all the blood plasma prepared for Xueni into the garden!
Blood Nymph simply watched coldly until dawn.

Early in the morning, he set off for the Lawson Orphanage that Patty had mentioned.

He met the director of the orphanage, explained his purpose, and finally met the three orphans that Patty had mentioned.

The oldest of them is 19 years old. He left the orphanage long ago and became a self-reliant plumber, saving money to bring his younger siblings out later.

After personally handing them the box of money and jewelry in Patty's name, Bloody left.

He returned to the dilapidated castle in the woods. Hala was still insane, scattering Bloodni's blood packs everywhere, turning the entire house into a murder scene.

"What do you think you're doing! Do you think you're so noble? You're just a vampire! A dark creature despised and scorned by everyone! A thief, a contemptible robber! You think you're so great after playing house for a few days!"

Hala shouted.

Bloodny ignored him. After searching the castle and finding no intact blood packs, he had no choice but to leave silently and squatted near Badminton Manor until nightfall.

This was the night he made up his mind to come here for the last time.

At midnight, he gripped his wand tightly, but his face was much paler than usual, and his breathing was different, becoming rapid and heavy.

Blood Nyx's steps quickened; he knew his situation was dire, but he didn't want to delay any longer.

If this drags on day after day, he fears he'll never be able to make a move!

Tonight is the night when a decision must be made!
He suddenly pushed open Patty's bedroom door.

The girl sitting in the wheelchair looked at Blood Nyx and paused for a moment, clearly noticing that there was something wrong with his body.

Patty's eyes showed panic.

"Blood Nymph! What's wrong with you!"

"I delivered what I promised to deliver." Xue Ni's tone was urgent, and his steps began to falter, but he still insisted on moving forward.

He leaned against the wall and walked up to Patty, his eyes narrowing and a pair of sharp teeth slowly growing longer in his mouth!
"We can't wait any longer, Patty! I'm afraid I'll lose the courage to lift my wand again. We have to settle this today! We have to settle this tonight!"

His voice turned into a howl like a wild beast, and his skin turned as white as paper!
The hand holding the wand trembled uncontrollably. He tried to utter the incantation for the Oblivion Charm, but after only uttering one sound, his body went limp and he fell toward Patty!
He crashed into Patty, causing the wheelchair to tip over as well.

The two rolled over, their bodies overlapping. Blood Nyx's wand fell to the side, and he was trembling uncontrollably all over!

"Blood Nymph... are you a vampire?"

Patty's shocked voice reached Bloody's ears.

He didn't look at the girl, but instead covered his face in anguish, curled up, and cried like a child.

"Waaah! Don't look at me! Don't look at me! Go away! Go away, Patty! Get out of here! Get out!"

Patty didn't move; she simply opened her arms to Xueni, embraced his head, and held him close.

The warmth, carrying the unique fragrance of a young girl, enveloped Blood Ninja, further igniting his desire for something within him!

In a daze, he inexplicably reached for Patty's neck and opened his mouth. His instinctive thirst for blood caused his sharp teeth to bite into the girl's delicate skin!

Even so, Patty still did not let go of Bloody's arms.

She lowered her head, burying her face in Xue Ni's black hair, and murmured in a voice softer than the spring breeze.

"It's alright, Blood Nymph, nothing will happen to you."

Blood Nyx suddenly regained consciousness, gasping for breath in terror, unable to believe what he was doing!
Patina's voice rang out again, calming his spirit that was on the verge of collapse.

"I told you about it, didn't I? In the Cotswolds, my grandfather used to have a very big farm there. There was a beautiful red windmill on the farm, the sky was very blue, and between the wheat fields and pastures, there was a huge flower field filled with white tulips."

"That's a place that only exists in fairy tales; I lived there when I was a child."

“Every year during the autumn harvest season, my grandfather would make me a straw hat and let me walk with a dog named William, running around with him in the wheat fields and flower fields.”

"After I became disabled, he was the only person who didn't despise me. He had a big fight with my father and said he would take me away and let me live with him from now on."

"But because of my mother's death, he fell very ill after returning home. He passed away a few months later."

Bloodni's body stopped trembling, and his head was buried in Patty's neck. In the end, his sharp teeth failed to pierce the girl's skin.

His intense emotions allowed him to suppress his wild instincts, and he held Patty tightly in his arms.

Under the moonlight, two young but special people embraced each other.

"I meant to say, Blood Nymph."

"You're just like him; you don't care if I'm disabled, and I won't care what you are either."

"We are no different."

"We are all outcasts."

"They are all undignified outcasts."

It was an exceptionally quiet night.

In the empty, spacious room, apart from the two people embracing on the floor, Severus, dressed in a black robe, watched this scene in silence.

Harry, standing next to him, felt a lump in his throat.

Yet, they didn't understand why they were sad.
