Chapter 29 Blood Nymph's Memories

Chapter 29 Blood Nymph's Memories
Severus considered many possibilities.

This case has caused such a stir that it has alarmed high-ranking officials on both the Muggle and Wizarding governments.

It was Dumbledore who subtly got him involved.

He originally thought that even if the case didn't involve any remnants of the Death Eaters, it was at least some dark magic creature causing trouble, attempting to sabotage a major plan like the Secrets Act.

However, what he never expected was...

The vampire in front of me is obviously incredibly stupid and doesn't seem to have any plans at all!

Even the kidnapping of Harry to blackmail him seemed like a spur-of-the-moment, impulsive act.

What is he after?
A rich girl falls in love with a poor boy?

A fantastical love story between a vampire and a half-paralyzed girl?
Why not just elope with the girl, steal Slughorn's drugs, and what are you planning to do by drugging people?

At this moment, Harry walked up to Severus and said hesitantly.

"Teacher, Mr. Henney and the others aren't bad people. He really wanted to save Miss Patty."

"You can tell what kind of person someone is by what he says, but by what he actually does."

Severus gazed into Bloodny's pleading and lifeless eyes, and his voice suddenly softened.

“Mr. Blood, relax. I know you want to tell me something. It’s okay. Some things don’t need to be expressed in words. I can see for myself.”

Take a deep breath, then relax, relax.

Bloodny seemed to be infected by some unknown magic, and he was really doing as Severus said.

He took two deep breaths, and then his body, which had been tense due to nervousness, relaxed. His heavy breathing gradually subsided, and his eyes began to glaze over. His brain, which had few barriers to block out, was now completely open.

Severus then tapped Harry with his wand.

"Look into his eyes and see with your heart."

Harry nervously swallowed, feeling as if he had become different under Severus's wand.

He stared intently into Blood Nymph's eyes, and suddenly, he felt as if those eyes had turned into a vortex!
The vortex gradually expanded and continued to spin until it completely engulfed him!
Harry felt as if he were falling from a great height, experiencing only an unsettling sense of weightlessness.

But soon, his feet were firmly planted on the ground again.

When he looked around again, he realized that he had left the cabin in the woods and returned to the gardens of Budmington Estate!
Severus was standing right next to him. He patted Harry on the shoulder, signaling him not to move and to look at what was happening in front of him.

"Kid! Do you even know how to fix this?! I only chose you because you're young and strong!"

Beside a broken lawnmower, the gardener looked at the tall, pale young man in front of him with suspicion.

Wearing a set of stolen, oil-stained work clothes, Bloody laughed awkwardly as he struggled to deal with the lawnmower in front of him.

"Sir, of course I can fix it! I told you I'm the best mechanic around here! But, I'm sorry, could you get me some water? I'm a little thirsty."

The gardener's face was full of impatience, but he still agreed.

"Okay, but you'll just have to wait here! Don't go anywhere!"

Henney watched him leave with a smile on his face. Once his figure had completely disappeared into the garden, he immediately and anxiously pulled out the wand he had hidden and chanted a spell at the broken lawnmower.

"Recover as before!"

The lawnmower underwent a remarkable transformation. The paint that had peeled off the surface began to recover, the worn parts inside became brand new, and even the holes in the seats were repaired to their original condition.

Having done all this, Bloodny let out a long sigh of relief. Just as he relaxed, put away his wand, and looked up...

Suddenly, I met a pair of deep blue eyes.

That was in front of the rightmost floor-to-ceiling window on the third floor of the manor, where a girl in a wheelchair was sitting!
She clearly saw what had just happened, staring in shock at Bloodny and the lawnmower next to him.

Blood Nyx was clearly panicked; his mind went blank, and he looked completely helpless.

But he quickly realized what was happening and tried to remedy the situation.

He seemed to be betting that the girl was too far away to see the changes on the lawnmower, so he started looking for a dry twig on the ground and poking at the lawnmower like a fool, as if he himself had just been doing something foolish.

The girl in the wheelchair was amused by his actions, and a captivating smile bloomed on her face.

At that moment, Xue Ni was stunned.

Sunlight, a garden, a girl in a white dress in a wheelchair.

The whole world disappeared from his eyes, except for that delicate and beautiful girl, as lovely as a lily.

Having witnessed this scene, Severus, who was standing right there but seemed invisible to everyone, clicked his tongue.

"Oh no, he's fallen in love."

Harry didn't understand why Severus had finished speaking; he just thought the scene was beautiful, like a romantic chance encounter in a fairy tale.

The gardener who went to fetch water for Xueni returned quickly. Only then did Xueni finally come to her senses, only to find that the girl who had been by the window was gone.

He became visibly distracted, but the change in the lawnmower was unbelievable to the gardener.

"How did you do that! You replaced everything with new stuff?"

Bloody is clearly not thinking about the lawnmower right now.

"Yes, that's probably it."

"But I was only gone for less than five minutes!"

"As long as it's fixed, that's fine," Bloodny said dismissively.

However, when the gardener sat down and tried to light it, he still couldn't get it running.

"Impossible!" Bloodny shouted. "Unless it was broken to begin with, I must have already fixed it!"

The gardener's gaze toward Blood Nymph had become strange.

"What exactly are you doing? You didn't even know the lawnmower needed gas at first, but after I left, it's like you replaced the car with a brand new one! But it still won't start!" Now, Bloody couldn't pay attention to the lawnmower at all; he had more troublesome things to deal with.

A Muggle witnessed him casting a spell, and this matter must be dealt with. Otherwise, if the Aurors are alerted and the memory erasure team is brought in to handle the matter, he will receive a fine that he cannot afford!

"Can I go to the restroom? I'm in a real hurry!"

Under the gardener's gaze, Bloody ran towards the manor house.

He rushed into the house, determined to go to the third floor, but before he could even climb the stairs to the first floor, he was spotted by the housekeeper who happened to be coming downstairs.

Faced with the butler's questioning, he stammered and couldn't answer for a long time.

He only fled when the housekeeper picked up the phone to call the police.

The next second, the environment in which Severus and Harry were located changed rapidly, like slides being fast-forwarded one by one.

By the time the surroundings returned to normal, Budmington Manor was already shrouded in night.

Having fled in a sorry state during the day, and shamefully used magic to repair the lawnmower without even receiving payment, Bloodny sneaked back again.

His spellcasting skills are very poor. Any Hogwarts student who normally passes the NEWTs exams and gets three excellent grades should be better than him.

But this level of skill is more than enough to avoid those Muggles.

This time he successfully reached the third floor and found the room.

Despite having come here to have her memories erased, Blood Nymph, standing in front of the door, couldn't help but tidy her clothes and hair before using a lock-picking spell to open the bedroom door uninvited.

He groped his way in and then carefully closed the door again.

Just as he raised his wand, intending to follow the sound of breathing to find the girl who had seen him cast a spell during the day and erase her memory,

Reflected by the starlight and moonlight outside the window, he saw a pair of bright, clear eyes watching him in the darkness.

This startled Bloodni.

"Are you the wizard from the daytime?"

The bedside lamp was suddenly turned on, and Patty, covered by the blanket and leaning against the headboard, quietly looked at Bloody.

With his back pressed against the wall, Bloodni discovered the problem.

"Were you waiting for me on purpose?"

A sly glint appeared in Patty's eyes.

"You were terrified when I saw you, and you wanted to come to me then, but the butler stopped you. I knew you'd come back tonight!"

Xueni stared wide-eyed, astonished by the girl's intelligence.

However, Patty's next words left him at a loss.

"Are you here to kill me?"

"No! I don't kill people randomly. You just saw it by accident, just by accident." Bloodny hurriedly raised the wand in his hand. "Just one Forgetfulness Charm will do. One Forgetfulness Charm and you won't remember what happened during the day."

Upon hearing this answer, Patty's eyes showed disappointment.

Blood Nyx understood the look in her eyes.

You want me to kill you?

Patty didn't answer, she just looked at him quietly.

“My room is next to the maid’s. She was sent by my father to watch over me day and night. Whenever I call out, she comes over and then alerts everyone else.”

Bloody guessed what she was going to do, and he hurriedly waved his hand, trying to stop Patty.

But the girl had already shouted it out.

"Welma! Wilma!"

Hearing footsteps coming from the bedroom next door, Xue Ni panicked. Afraid of attracting more people, he had no choice but to open the window, intending to jump out.

As he climbed up to the window, Patty's voice rang out behind him.

"You'll come back to me, won't you, Mr. Wizard?"

Xueni turned around in surprise and saw Patty smiling and winking at him.

The girl did it on purpose; she deliberately drove Xue Ni away tonight so that he would come back in the future!

Before the door was opened, Bloodny finally jumped down.

As a vampire, his physical abilities were far superior to those of ordinary wizards; a height of three stories would not cause him much harm.

He could vaguely hear sounds coming from inside the bedroom at the foot of the mansion.

"What's wrong, Miss Patty? Do we need to change the diaper again?"

“No.” Patty’s voice was cold, but she didn’t mention anything about Bloodni. “The window was left open, and I need your help.”

"It's so hard to sleep all night!"

Amid the servants' complaints, the window on the third floor was slammed shut again.

Xue Ni lay sprawled out, his rapid breathing gradually slowing down. He looked up at the starry sky, motionless, lost in thought.

“Patty’s got him in trouble. He’s probably thinking about how to erase her memory later,” Harry said sympathetically.

Severus didn't speak, but just turned his head and glanced speechlessly at his straight male student.

Even Ghost Snape couldn't help but mutter softly inside him.

"Just as stupid as his shameless father."
