She then quickly got up, staggering and almost tripping over the chair.

Chi Yige watched Wen Jinnian's hasty retreat, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes.

He held the playing card between his index and middle fingers, the heart on it standing out prominently in the dim light.

He lowered his head and smiled. How could a woman's lips be so soft!

It seems he has angered the wildcat again.

Wen Jinian ran to the edge of the terrace in one breath. The night breeze from Victoria Harbour swept through the terrace railing, lifting the white jasmine pattern on her skirt.
