Chapter 180 The Truth
When Wang Genquan saw Wang Liang come out of room 47, he knew that the ghost in the room had been dealt with.

It's unclear whether they were controlled or imprisoned in that strange pool of blood controlled by the other party.

The matter was resolved in less than two minutes, which didn't surprise Wang Genquan. He had already witnessed the man's capabilities along the way.

Even in such a dangerous place filled with vengeful spirits, the other party's behavior could be described as reckless and unstoppable.

"Now that you've got the ghost, can you tell me where the exit is?" Wang Genquan asked eagerly.

Wang Liang said, "Okay, but I advise you to be mentally prepared and not get too excited too soon."

Upon hearing this, Wang Genquan's expression shifted, sensing something was amiss. He took a deep breath and said:
"Don't worry, I've been trapped here for decades, I can accept any outcome, I just want to know the truth."

Wang Liang nodded and said, "Normally, you can go out through the exit near room number 1 and directly enter the real hotel."

But the timing of your departure was wrong; you entered a chaotic, supernatural room at a particular time.

It's like creating a transition zone between this haunted place and reality, filled with vengeful ghosts trying to escape, trapped there and unable to enter reality.

You entered there, and then returned from there to this eerie corridor, changing the ghostly passage outside Room 1 that should have connected to reality. It no longer connects to reality, but instead to the out-of-control room you just entered.

“So you mean?” Wang Genquan said, frowning.

Wang Liang continued, "In other words, there's been an extra, out-of-control, supernatural room temporarily separating the exit to reality from this supernatural place. If you want to get out now, you either have to go back to that room and find the new exit."

Alternatively, we can wait for the paranormal passage outside Room 1 to reconnect to reality, which will likely be after 4 AM, roughly three or four hours from now.

Wang Genquan paused for a moment, then asked:
"Is the exit on the first floor of that place now?"

"Third floor."

Upon hearing Wang Liang's answer, Wang Gen's expression changed drastically.

The third floor! That's where they were stopped in the elevator. Even Wang Liang only managed to force them back briefly, without actually dealing with the situation.

Wang Genquan sighed.

"I'll surely die if I go there. Looks like I'll have to wait here for a few more hours."

After thinking it over, Wang Liang realized that Wang Genquan hadn't played any tricks along the way and had been quite cooperative, so he finally revealed the truth:

"You can't leave here now. If you go out into reality, you'll die immediately."

Upon hearing this, Wang Genquan's pupils contracted, and his mouth opened but he couldn't utter a word for a moment.

"What do you think is the reason you can keep resurrecting? Losing a few memories and being able to reverse life and death? There's no such thing as a free lunch. Everything comes at a price," Wang Liang said calmly.

After a few seconds of silence, Wang Genquan said in a trembling voice:

"Then, what should we do?"

Wang Liang patted Wang Genquan on the shoulder: "Go find a way to become an outcast, replace the vengeful ghost with human consciousness, only then will you have a chance to escape this place."

Having said all he wanted to say, Wang Liang turned and left, walking down the corridor in the direction where the room numbers kept increasing.

Wang Genquan stared blankly at Wang Liang's receding figure, remaining silent and motionless for a long time, standing like a dead man in the dimly lit and narrow corridor.

Wang Liang continued deeper into the corridor, his targets still being the vengeful ghost with the bloody handprint in room 82, and the vengeful ghost in the television set in room 88.

With his understanding of the plot and considerable strength, this place was a treasure trove for him.

In his speculation, both the bloody handprint and the television set, these two kinds of vengeful ghosts, should be able to match Sadako.

Especially the TV ghost in room 88; a Sadako who can't climb a TV isn't a good Sadako.

Judging from the house number, he shouldn't be too far from there. But this place is like a huge maze, too intricate and complicated.

Countless narrow and dark corridors intertwined, and the room numbers became disordered.

Even the location can change; you might walk down one road and then turn back to find a completely different one.

Wang Liang spent some time, took many wrong turns, and even accidentally wandered into room number 120 or 130, forcing him to turn back.

They finally found the corridor with rooms numbered over eighty, but only saw room number 82; room number 88 wasn't in that corridor.

So Wang Liang went to the door of room 82. The wall lamp outside the room was on, and the door was closed. He pushed it open forcefully.

"No?"

The room was very clean and spotless, with furniture in the style of the Republic of China era, but there was no one or ghost inside.

Wang Liang went inside and searched the room carefully, but still found nothing.

He even took out a ghost-weapon from the ghost blood and stomped around the room, but nothing triggered it; it seemed that the room had never imprisoned a vengeful ghost.

Wang Liang shook his head. It seemed that the Blood Handprint Ghost might still be lingering somewhere deep inside, and it might enter this room in the future.

He arrived early.

It was just a vengeful ghost; there would be other opportunities to encounter it in the future. Wang Liang wasn't too disappointed and quickly headed to other corridors after leaving the house.

It's fine if we don't encounter the bloody handprint, but we'd better have the TV.

As they approached an intersection, a hunchbacked ghost dressed in tattered clothes happened to be wandering around.

Wang Liang didn't stop, and strode over with the bone spear in hand.

Only when Wang Liang approached did the vengeful ghost turn its numb and lifeless eyes around.

But the next second, Wang Liang grabbed it by the neck and roughly threw it into the gushing ghost blood at his feet, imprisoning it.

Without pausing, Wang Liang crossed the intersection and followed a different route than when he turned back, entering a deeper part of the corridor once again.

After venturing into two more corridors, Wang Liang finally found room number 88, which was nestled among the many rooms numbered in the nineties.

It was a room with the door slightly ajar, revealing a small crack.

The wall lamps outside the room were off, meaning the room no longer served its purpose of imprisoning the evil spirit, which is why the door was open.

But the corridor there was not dark; light shone from the slightly ajar doors.

Strangely, the light in the room would sometimes dim slightly and then come back on.

It's as if someone is walking around the room, occasionally blocking the light, causing this situation.

"Phew, it's good that this one is here."

Wang Liang walked over and, without hesitation, pushed the door open and went inside.

The room was empty, with not much furniture.

There is a yellowish chandelier on the ceiling, and an old three-seater leather sofa against the wall in the living room.

It's not just old and worn by time; it looks like it's been used by someone for a long time, with severe wear and tear.
