Chapter 770 The Sisterhood of the Wasps Has No Sisters

Chapter 770 The Sisterhood of the Wasps Has No Sisters

Peter warily scanned his surroundings as he watched the group of Spider-Bees charging towards him. Judging from the habits of the Spider-Bees, these creatures likely possessed abilities that were natural counters to the Spider Totem.

But upon closer reflection, it seems that only the female wasps are responsible for reproduction within the spider wasps, and these creatures are probably just worker wasps. Moreover, given their weak spider senses, these creatures likely don't possess that much power.

Meanwhile, the group of spider-bee monsters didn't give Peter much time to think or analyze. These guys rushed over with weapons like baseball bats or machetes. Peter shouted, "Stop them!" and then started fighting with the mass-produced monsters.

"So, you're the ones who've been preventing the birth of the spider totem in various universes all this time? Are you followers of Sasla? Or are you even more treacherous lackeys?!"

Bioelectricity flowed through Peter's fist, unleashing tremendous force that slammed a spider-bee monster into the wall. Then, he fired silk to hook another spider-bee monster charging at Cindy, slamming it against the one still imprinted on the wall. Next, mechanical claws shot out, trapping a third enemy attempting to ambush him from behind.

But just like the herd mentality itself, these oddballs did not express their emotions, but simply replied to Peter in a very calm manner.

"You actually know the name of the master of the Great Hive?! It seems you know a lot, you evil spider totem."

"Evil? Good heavens, I'm the friendly neighbor Spider-Man. I deliver newspapers to the elderly in the community every day, mow the lawn, and I even know how many cats everyone has. Calling me evil is going too far!"

After defeating several spider-bee monsters, Peter leaped into the air and launched countless web-like projectiles imbued with his own energy and immortal power in all directions. These projectiles possessed immense power; even these cyborgs were almost instantly knocked to the ground upon contact.

But then, the door was kicked open by a group of people, and they transformed again without shouting "Transform!" and rushed over.

"So, what should I call you? Wasp? Forget it, that name is disgusting. Spider Wasp? That doesn't quite capture your dangerousness... Spider Wasp People? Isn't three words a bit too long?"

Peter skillfully evaded the enemy's attacks while repeatedly striking them; he could now easily deliver blows with his fists. A single backflip allowed him to hook two enemies in the chest with his webs and slam them together.

As for who these enemies were, they roared in anger.

"We are the Sisterhood of Wasp!"

"That's great! First of all, I didn't see a single sister. Didn't you notice that you're all men? Shouldn't you be called the Wasp Brotherhood? Are you biologically male but identify as female? Then you should be called the Wasp LGBTQ+ Association."

"Secondly, I asked what I should call you mass-produced enemies, not your organization. After all, I can't exactly call you Sisters of the Wasps Number One, Number Two, or Number Three, can I?"

The Spider-Wasp Monster didn't say anything, but attacked directly. However, Peter grabbed its wrist and broke it with a single twist: "And aren't you Spider-Wasps? Why do you call yourselves the Wasp Sisterhood instead of the Spider-Wasp Sisterhood?"

Peter then witnessed a member of the Sisterhood of Wasps roar, grab a teammate and pull her in front of him, before running off to deal with Jessica.

"This guy has a foul mouth, you deal with him!"

Peter sighed helplessly and looked at the spider-wasp monster who had been replaced: "Do you see that, my friend? This is how prejudice and misunderstanding arise."

The guy charged forward with a deathly roar. Actually, while Peter dealt with these henchmen quite easily, these guys were anything but weak. These spider-bee monsters, who looked remarkably like Kamen Riders, were each as powerful as the Horror or Scorpion that Peter had faced in the early stages. Miguel, however, was alright. 2099 was a time of advanced technology and ruthless tactics; as a ruthless individual who had modified half his DNA into spider DNA, he kicked the guy even further than Peter had.

But things weren't so easy for the others. Facing the formidable and numerous Sisters of the Wasp, most could only manage one against two, waiting for Peter to come to their aid. Gwen had just punched the enemy in front of her, ducking to avoid a blow from the enemy behind her, when the latter suddenly collapsed, crackling with electricity.

Gwen looked at Peter, who had defeated the enemy, and asked between breaths, "You don't usually talk this much."

"If you have extra energy to talk during a battle, it might be a good thing, as it can divert your attention to the greatest extent."

The two were talking when a loud noise came from behind them. It turned out that the Neighbor Worm and Strange from this universe had dealt with the symbiote monster and completely closed the portal.

Although the neighboring bug hadn't figured out the situation yet, and the local Strange only had a vague understanding, the two still decided to come and help.

"I have a question!"

While fighting on the sidelines, Jessica grabbed an enemy by the shoulder, did a backflip, and unleashed a powerful electric shock from her hands, stunning the enemy to the ground. After landing, she asked, "What's this Sisterhood of the Wasps? They can't be the masterminds, can they?"

“Spider wasps are solitary wasps, so it’s rare to see them appearing in large numbers like this,” Cindy chimed in after dealing with the enemies over there. “But if their social structure is like that of wasps, then they should just be worker wasps.”

……

Is it possible that they were originally human?
Gwen held back her question, while Miguel, having dealt with the enemy, approached Peter: "You've protected them too well. Their combat training is severely lacking, especially Gwen from Earth 616."

"What do you mean... ah!"

Before Gwen could retort, her spider-sense kicked in intensely, this time even Peter's spider-sense activated. Peter stood at the front: "Looks like the mastermind is coming. Everyone be careful!"

Immediately afterwards, the door was kicked open.

"Father said the bride appeared here. How could the bride have left Universe 616? But there are so many wasp totems here."

With his right hand gripping a wasp monster he had drained, Moron kicked open the door and saw a large group of spider totems inside.

For the first time, he did not show joy at discovering the spider totem, but rather disgust.

"Clan leader?!"

"Morlen?!"
