Chapter 748 Marvel Comics
Cindy is sick.

This was something Peter was genuinely surprised about. Ever since he was bitten by the radioactive spider, he seemed to have completely said goodbye to the word "sickness." Even when he was still unfamiliar with combat and his bones were broken, he only needed to sleep for a day or two to recover.

So when he heard the news that Cindy was sick, he was indeed quite shocked. After thinking about it for a while, he decided to go visit Cindy.

"According to Fury, Cindy just has a simple cold and fever, and she's already seen a doctor—I don't know if it was a regular family doctor, a hospital doctor, or a S.H.I.E.L.D. doctor. The last one seems especially unreliable."

Peter swung on his web, lost in thought, while JJJ beside him broadcasted the latest news about the Roxon-Stark War: "According to the latest reports, the war between Roxon and Stark is no longer limited to the simple realm of electricity prices. Tony Stark has announced that he will be holding the Stark New Energy Technology Exhibition this December, where he will showcase the full advantages of new energy and new electricity, and why Roxon's historical garbage will be swept into the trash can. Ha, as always, Stark's big talk."

"I'm glad your attention isn't on Spider-Man right now, Jonah. You look much kinder. Uncle Ben always says that getting angry is bad for your health, and I really hope you'll take that to heart."

Peter, dangling from a spider's web, landed near a bookstore. He initially planned to bring Cindy some food, but then he realized he really didn't know what Cindy liked to eat.

He even went so far as to message Fury to ask, but Fury didn't reply—probably because Fury didn't know how to respond either.

So Peter planned to bring Cindy two books in addition to fruit, since he at least knew what kind of books Cindy liked.

When he entered the bookstore, he found that the television inside was also broadcasting news about the Roxon-Stark War, and surprisingly, it was broadcasting legitimate news.

"Breaking news: Tony Stark has acquired a 65% stake in Marvel Comics. Marvel Comics is one of the oldest comic book companies in the United States and the second largest comic book publishing company in the country. It previously acquired the rights to Captain America during World War II, and later acquired the rights to comic books related to IPs such as Star Wars, Conan the Barbarian, and Transformers. In 03, it also acquired the adventure comic book adaptation rights to Fantastic Four."

"According to current information, after Tony Stark acquired Marvel, Marvel will launch a series of Avengers comics. Whether unsolved mysteries such as Spider-Man's true identity will be revealed has become a topic of great interest."

Peter was stunned for a moment. He really didn't expect that there was a Marvel company on Earth 616. Although they no longer drew superheroes, they were doing quite well.

"Has this business war escalated from a price war to a propaganda war? It's really fierce."

As Peter spoke, he bought two books. The shopkeeper nodded in agreement, then said, "Who cares? I can save a lot on electricity bills every month now, which adds up to a considerable amount over a year. It's a good thing they're fighting, as long as they don't have to pay back the electricity bills afterward, I don't care."

"Maybe after they finish fighting, the electricity price will stay the same as it is now."

The bookstore owner watched Peter leave with a look of disbelief, as if he were a naive young man. Peter, carrying his book bag, found a secluded corner without security cameras, quickly changed his clothes, and left. He knew where Cindy's house was; he could just go there directly.

Police sirens blared in the distance, and Peter immediately swung over, seeing a large convoy of police cars chasing someone. He then accessed the police system.

"Let me see, damn it, Frost Archer. He's got an automatic weapon, that's pretty dangerous for the police. I have to check it out." Peter quickly approached, intending to intervene, but he suddenly stopped. The Frost Archer, who was in a road rage, was stopped by Luke Cage, the Power Ranger, who had rushed out first. The guy braved the hail of bullets and used his body to block the impact of the other car, sending the entire car flying.

It seemed that he didn't need to help anymore. After thinking for a moment, Peter swung on his web and continued towards Cindy's house.

Then, on the way, I heard JJJ's angry roar again.

"Citizens, have you heard the news? Tony Stark has acquired Marvel Comics and even demanded they publish an Avengers comic book series! Haha! We'll finally find out who that damn bug really is! Of course, he might be using a fake identity or name, but it doesn't matter. We'll see just how the Avengers treat Spider-Man!"

Peter sighed helplessly. Whenever Spider-Man was involved, JJJ would bite wildly like a madman. Of course, the JJJ in this universe was already considered to be in better condition.

Peter didn't bother with him. He found a supermarket, bought some fruit for Cindy, and then used his spider web to get to Cindy's house in no time.

Peter knocked on Cindy's door, and Cindy's father, whom he had met once before, opened the door, smiling and asking Peter, "Hello, may I ask who you are...?"

“Oh, I’m Peter Parker, Cindy’s classmate.” Knowing that Cindy’s parents had no idea who was behind the mask, Peter nodded and then explained his purpose: “I’ve come to visit Cindy.”

"Oh, okay, please come in."

Peter followed Cindy's father into their house. At that time, when Cindy's family and the Scorpion were causing a ruckus, nothing seemed to have changed.

Wait, nothing has changed?
Peter began to have doubts in an instant. After all, the Scorpion incident was a very serious provocation to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s intelligence system, but it seemed that Cindy's family was no different from before they encountered the Scorpion.

Peter activated the imaging device on the nanosuit, and in an instant, the target became clear: these were Cindy's family members, not actually her family, but LMDs, and older models at that, not the ones Fury had given you to imitate Erica.

In other words, Cindy is sick now, but none of the so-called family members around her are actually real people. Peter was stunned for a moment, then shook his head.

On the other side, Cindy's "father" introduced Peter to her "mother" and then told Cindy that Peter had come. Peter heard a sound and then received an invitation from LMD.

"Alright, that child is resting in his room."
