Chapter 733 Dark Consortium
The demonized Iliana stood up, carrying her greatsword, and looked at the crowd, but remained standing there motionless. Wanda asked Strange curiously, "Has she calmed down?"

"No, she's observing us. She's discovered that our main source of power is magic, so she's trying to find a way to counter that... I'm starting to agree with Spider-Man's idea. Perhaps the Magik's dark side does indeed possess its own independent consciousness, rather than simply being corrupted."

Strange watched as the earth shook violently around him. Then, a heart-shaped object flew above Iliana, followed by the flow of silvery-white liquid metal onto her body. Strange reached out to cast a spell to try and stop it, but failed. He could only shake his head and watch helplessly as the silvery liquid metal flowed onto Iliana and transformed into a set of silver armor.

"A red demon paired with silver armor, I wonder where this girl learned her fashion sense."

Wanda shook her head and then asked Strange, "And what is this metal?"

"Promethium metal has a similar physical form to the symbiote, but it is only similar in physical form. In other aspects, it is completely unrelated. It is not afraid of fire or sound waves. What is more troublesome is that promethium metal has extremely high magic resistance."

When the Avengers dealt with Nimrod, they discovered this troublesome characteristic of promethium. Iliana was quite familiar with them, which meant she knew that most of these people possessed magical powers, which was why they used this thing to enhance themselves.

and……

Strange looked at Iliana's arm holding the sword. Iliana's Soul Greatsword was a part of her soul, and each time she used it, a portion of armor would extend out. As she became more skilled at using it, the area covered by the armor also increased.

However, the demonized Iliana showed no trace of this, further confirming Strange's suspicion: the Iliana before him was no longer Magik, but the "Daughter of Darkness." (Darkchylde)

Wanda looked at Strange with considerable surprise: "Magic resistance? How are we going to deal with her?"

"Why do you think I carry an axe? Do you think a mage like me enjoys melee combat with an axe?"

Strange shook his head as he spoke. He didn't carry the axe because he liked close combat, but because he had anticipated this situation: "That's why I came to you and Bloodstone. Her fighting style relies almost entirely on magic, and your mutant power is crucial. It's a power that manipulates probability, and we need her."

Iliana, naturally unaware of what was happening, was already charging towards them. Elsa, who had been keeping to herself, picked up a grenade launcher, attached it to the front of her rifle, and pulled the trigger. Intense flames erupted instantly, but the demon that emerged from them was completely unaffected.

Bloodstone continued firing, but to no avail. She smiled and then raised her rifle.

"Come on, girl! You know, I can smash an entire Jeep to pieces with just a guitar!"

Elsa seized the opportunity, ducking to dodge Iliana's sword the instant she swung it. Then, she stood up and smashed the butt of her gun into Iliana's chin. Iliana, now demonized, was nearly two meters tall, a full forty centimeters taller than before. The butt of the gun easily struck her chin, knocking her face to the side.

But the problem was, the gun was also broken, so Elsa could only laugh awkwardly: "Looks like we'll have to smash something else, don't you think?"

The demonized Iliana simply turned her face towards the light and raised her left hand, the one not holding the sword. Fortunately, Wanda pulled her back in time. Iliana then retreated a considerable distance, seemingly muttering incantations. Immediately afterward, a crimson light flashed across the ruins, followed by a literal, gigantic hydra appearing. It was just an ordinary monster, but it swarmed towards them relentlessly.

Strange immediately chanted a spell, and the terrain changed in an instant, turning into shackles that firmly bound the nine heads of Hydra. Then, a large number of clay golems emerged from the ground and rushed towards Hydra.

Almost at the same time, Strange recited another spell, and everything around him, except for Wanda and Elsa, stopped.

Wanda then noticed Iliana, who was nearly 100 meters high and about to swat down with her sword.

"Time stop is generally not allowed, as it would disrupt the laws of nature. In many other dimensions, the concept of time itself is not important. The Hell's Limbo is a good place to play this game."

Strange looked up at the sky as he spoke: "Of course, I can't hold her for long. She knows how to move in time-stopped conditions, and I don't need to wait too long either."

The instant time stopped, Iliana landed and launched an attack, but of course, she hit nothing, not even leaving a speck of dust. Meanwhile, figures appeared on the other side. Standing at the forefront, dressed in clothing made of human skin, was none other than the universally disliked Velasco. Surprisingly, behind him followed another group of people.

They were a group of people who looked quite respectable, the kind of people who could easily make a fortune in casinos or bars, yet they also seemed like devils, or rather, too much like the stereotypical devils who manipulate words.

"Ah, the Sorcerer Supreme of Earth 616, a monster hunter whose family's power comes from bloodstone, and a user of chaos magic, what a great gift."

Strange watched Velasco. Even the demonized Iliana began to shift her aggression when Velasco appeared. But Strange was more concerned about the high-ranking demons that had appeared. He noticed that these demons weren't fighting Velasco; instead, they were quietly observing from the sidelines.

Even Velasco was surprised.

"What are you doing?! Didn't we agree to help me reclaim the borders of hell?!"

The demons readily shook their heads: "We only agreed to Mephisto's request as proof of our contact with you. It's not any evidence. Of course, if you win, our Dark Consortium will still be happy to serve you, Velasco."

"Conversely, since you are not the one who controls the borders of hell, and you are not the one who opened the gates for us, we have nothing to do with you."
