Chapter 728 is a sabotage team, not a demolition crew!

"Looks like I'm glad Banner isn't here today, otherwise our only home would be gone before the Avengers base is finished!"

Tony, clad in his Iron Man armor, launched a frenzied attack on the four burly, muscular men. He had already confirmed that these men possessed superhuman physical abilities, and the repulsion cannon could be slightly increased in power to bombard them.

But what Tony found even funnier was that these guys actually plugged a USB drive into the receptionist's laptop and were yelling, "The Avengers are doomed!" Putting aside whether the contents of that USB drive were even useful, why did they think the Avengers' central system was connected to the receptionist's laptop?

The leader of the villainous organization called "Sabotage," who was leading the charge, was masked and looked like a ruthless bank robber. He wielded a crowbar and was strong enough to easily flip a car over. But with just one jump, he was sent flying by Tony's repulsive force cannon.

Then, Thunderball, the only one in the group with a ranged attack (and also the only Black person in the team), threw out his weapon, a huge iron ball that was hooked by a chain and lifted by a crane on a construction site to smash into a wall, and hurled it at Tony. If this iron ball, weighing more than a ton, had hit Tony, it would have definitely shattered him into pieces, but Tony immediately operated the thrusters on the back of his armor to dodge it.

The giant metal ball smashed into the roof of the Avengers Tower lobby, prompting Tony to complain: "Hey! Do you know how long it takes me to get the lobby back in business after you smash it like that?"

"I don't care about this or that, Iron Man, let's see what our Sabotage Squad is all about!"

As his name suggests, Piston's fists are incredibly powerful, like a pile driver, directly smashing the falling iron ball back. Tony was not hit this time, and there was no need to worry about another hole being smashed in the roof, because Spider-Man appeared at just the right time and used his webs to stop the iron ball.

"Destruction team? I thought you should be called the demolition team."

As Peter spoke, he hurled the giant iron ball at them. The last member of the group, dressed like a beggar in a Juggernaut outfit, charged at Peter and caught the massive iron ball. Then, Thunderball pulled hard, retrieving his iron ball. The four members of the sabotage team were now standing opposite Peter and his group.

Tony landed next to Peter and replied with considerable agreement, "You're right, guys. How about you consider working for the Disaster Control Bureau, like a demolition crew or something? I think you'd be perfect for it, and you could make a lot of money. It's much better than going against us."

"Stop talking nonsense, Iron Man, we're here to beat you up!"

The Destroyer, as the team leader, brandished his magical crowbar and shouted, "This crowbar of mine is just as good as Thor's hammer! Working as a demolition worker with the others? That's beneath me! Nothing beats this job! Take this!"

After his stern shout, he leaped high into the air and swung his crowbar at the two men. Peter and Tony immediately jumped to either side. Then the bulldozer lowered its head, shouting, "I am a bulldozer!", and charged towards Peter like a real bulldozer. Four mechanical claws instantly appeared on Peter's back, and he used his own strength to forcefully push the bulldozer seven or eight meters before stopping it.

"Yes, yes, you're the bulldozer, I'm the train king. You know the Red Tank? That thing is way harder to stop than you. I've met an even more formidable guy, named Mangog, have you heard of him?"

Peter stopped the bulldozer with one hand, and with the other hand he gathered bioelectricity, turning it into a powerful current. Then, he took a deep breath and threw a powerful punch.

"Driven by electric current!"

The bulldozer was sent flying backward, crashing into the Thunderball, which was pelting Tony with a giant iron ball. The two of them immediately rolled into a heap and flew off somewhere. Then, the Destroyer immediately caught up and swung his magical crowbar at Peter. "I also like crowbars. I like Half-Life and Gordon Freeman. Uh, never mind, you probably haven't heard of them."

As Peter spoke, he used his spider silk to stick to the other person's crowbar. The crowbar then emitted a mysterious energy, shattering Peter's silk. Peter exclaimed in surprise, "You really have a magic crowbar? Who enchanted it? Loki?"

Then, Peter was quite certain that his spider-sense had twitched, but it quickly dissipated. He was now quite certain that the crowbar, or rather the superpowers of this group of people, were given to him by Loki. And considering Loki's current identity, the other party was very likely sent by Roxon Energy Corporation or Malekith.

But why send such a bunch of useless people?

Peter, bewildered, dodged the opponent's physics-based holy sword with a backflip, then used his webs to stick to the opponent's feet in mid-air. He then swung his webs behind the destroyer, pulling him to the ground. The physics-based holy sword even flew far away. Peter tried to lift the crowbar, only to find that he really couldn't.

"Um, what's the spell on this crowbar? Only villains can lift it?"

"I guess it means 'only a brainless thug could pick it up,' I'll hit—"

Tony proved that a magically enhanced body is still no match for technology, punching the pile driver in the nose and knocking him to the ground. Then he boasted to Peter, "It turns out that combat training from WWII veterans is quite useful, isn't it, kid?"

"Does the captain know Wing Chun...?"

"Uh, no, but I will. I'm a huge Bruce Lee fan, and I even have a Bruce Lee T-shirt..."

Before the two could even begin discussing what to do with the four clowns or how to deal with the crowbar they couldn't lift, they suddenly heard a familiar voice rushing in, shouting, "Avengers! We're here to help you!"

Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be four superheroes dressed in brightly colored outfits. The people who came were Carol Danvers and her Ultimate Team: Ms. Marvel, War Machine, Patriot, and Ares.

Huh? Why did it all end up recruiting Ares after all this?
While Peter was still confused, Colonel Rhodes opened his visor and came over to Tony to strike up a conversation: "I was going to ask you how you were doing, buddy, but... you seem to be fine now."

“Yeah, I’m fine.” Tony looked at the rest of the Ultimate Team: “How did you guys get here so fast? I almost didn’t get rid of those four clowns.”
