Chapter 72 Fierce Battle on Earth 700

Chapter 72 Fierce Battle on Earth 700 (3)

Peter, with his blond hair, felt a terrifying qualitative change occurring in the energy field beneath him. The energy jets spewing from the two colliders were now tearing open a dark blue spatial rift in the tunnel, like countless greedy tongues licking at the barrier of reality. The gradual widening of the rift meant that the dimensional barrier of Earth 700 was dissolving at an extremely rapid pace. Worse still, Doctor Octopus's system lacked safety protocols and buffer mechanisms; the rift was like a brutal wound torn open in the universe itself, potentially triggering a chain reaction of collapse at any moment.

Fortunately, the young man from yesterday gave me some advice on how to launch some surprise attacks in a less Spider-Man-like way.

"I only have one question, Liv..." Spider-Man (Earth 700), whose neck was being choked and who was having some difficulty breathing, made an indistinct sound as he used his own hands to pull on the mechanical claws choking his neck and asked the most important question.

"Your tentacles still use bioelectric signals, right?"

"what?"

It wasn't from the web-shooters that had been guarded against, but from blue-white arcs of electricity that burst forth from the seams of the suit's gloves. The arcs spread instantly along the nerve conduits on the mechanical claws, paralyzing Doctor Octopus's tentacles in a flash. She screamed in pain as the mechanical tentacles released the blond Peter, allowing him to swing on the webs and fall to the side.

These new tentacles perfectly integrate Octavius's nervous system with her mechanics, giving her greater strength and more precise manipulation, at the cost of sharing all sensory feedback, including, naturally, pain.

Despite being electrocuted, Doctor Octopus wasn't angry; on the contrary, she seemed even more excited. Liv pulled a handkerchief from her pocket and wiped her mouth. Then, she controlled her tentacles to burrow towards the blond Peter. These biomaterial tentacles possessed extraordinary flexibility and sensitivity; not only could spider silk not easily interfere with them, but the method she used before—fixing Doctor Octopus's body and then pulling off the tentacles—was also ineffective.

So, we need to find a new way!

Grabbing one of Doctor Octopus's tentacles, Spider-Man (Earth 700) seized the opportunity and charged towards the collider. With the spatial rift not yet fully torn open, he grabbed the tentacle and rushed towards the collider. If he could crash into the collider in one go, even this more advanced mechanical tentacle wouldn't be able to escape unscathed.

However, Doctor Octopus simply smiled and used two tentacles to insert into the metal outer wall of the facility to stabilize himself. Spider-Man (Earth 700) landed at the lowest point, but was still about three or four meters away from the energy flow beneath his feet.

At that moment, Doctor Octopus's last tentacle arrived. With an excited and arrogant smile, she tried to pierce Spider-Man's (Earth 700) chest with the mechanical claw on her tentacle, but then she realized that she had also reached her limit. The mechanical claw was flailing desperately not far from Spider-Man's face, but she just couldn't reach him.

Spider-Man (Earth 700) sighed helplessly, covered his face, then wrapped his webs around one of the colliders and began to pull it violently.

Doctor Octopus simply used her extra tentacle, which couldn't reach Spider-Man, to make a cup of coffee in the control room and grab a waffle. She put it on a plate and brought it back, shaking her head helplessly as she drank her coffee: "You can't move me, Spider-Man. My enhanced tentacles are strong enough to support your maximum power."

“If I can’t pull you down, Liv, at least I can destroy the collider—”

Spider-Man (Earth 700), sensing that the collider was starting to loosen, suddenly realized something was wrong. He looked up at Doctor Octopus, who was leisurely sipping his coffee: "Shouldn't you say something like, 'I won't do this, because it will cause the collider to explode,' right now?" "Of course not," Doctor Octopus smiled slightly. "Look behind you, Spider-Man."

Spider-Man (Earth 700)'s spider-sense alarm went off. He already knew who was coming, but he still forced himself to turn around and saw Kingpin, dressed in a suit and tie, raising his muscular fist. He chuckled dryly and said, "Hello, Willie, could you come a little later? I'm not available right now."

"Get out of here!"

Kingpin's furious punch sent Spider-Man flying. He adjusted his posture in mid-air and landed on the outer wall. He looked at his teammates expectantly, but after realizing that they still hadn't dealt with the enemy they needed to fight, he shook his head.

According to the plan, he was the one to deal with Kingpin and Doctor Octopus. How could he rely on others now?

"You're Spider-Man, Peter Parker!" The blond Peter cheered himself on internally, then charged forward again.

How could you lose here?

Tombstone wasn't difficult to deal with, that was Miguel's honest opinion. In terms of combat skills, he was at the level of a gangster, with a little bit of rudimentary martial arts, but not much. The only troublesome thing was his indestructible skin and the strength to break free from the spider webs—in other words, he was a punching bag that would keep you coming back for more. Other than that, he posed no real threat.

But this very punching bag has now become a problem for Miguel. The biggest issue is that he's practically indestructible, no matter how you hit him. And you can't get around him, since your goal is to help Spider-Man of this universe hold off these guys.

So his gaze shifted to the collider, which had now been torn open with a large enough opening. Lured by Miguel, Tombstone gradually arrived there and then threw a heavy punch.

Miguel leaned back, performing a somersault while simultaneously kicking Tombstone in the chin, sending him flying into the air. However, Miguel was faster, quickly launching himself forward and using his webs to hook Tombstone in mid-air, launching him directly into the energy wave emitted by the collider.

A surge of intense energy pierced through Tombstone's body in an instant. After a series of bizarre twists, he fell to the ground, completely still, only occasionally twitching. Miguel glanced at him and merely snorted coldly. He was incredibly lucky to still be alive.

"Lyra, how's the monitoring of the multiverse going?"

"You haven't triggered the web-weaving event yet, which is strange. According to your theory, this shouldn't be the case." The virtual assistant that appeared on the bracelet didn't forget to tease him: "It seems your calculations are indeed inaccurate."

"Wouldn't that be the best?"
