Chapter 705 Shadow Domain
Peter and Felicia left Midtown High School one after the other, quickly changed into their battle suits, and moved at high speed in mid-air. Then, as they strolled around in the air, Felicia noticed that Peter, who was usually very talkative, was now completely silent.

"what happened?"

"It's nothing. I was looking at a message from the Defenders. They're fighting the Hand again. I just messaged them to ask if they needed any help, and now they're saying they don't."

Peter quickly answered Felicia. He wasn't lying at all. The Defenders had indeed fought with the Hand again today, and judging from the situation, the battle was quite large. However, they said they didn't need Peter's help, so Peter would just assume for the time being that they really didn't need his help.

"So, where is your friend Donald Pierce now?"

"Hmm... It's strange, the place he's in is also very close to Hell's Kitchen... I feel that so many coincidences happening today are not so simple." Felicia remembered what Peter had told her about the last whereabouts of the missing persons, and then she had a feeling.

Perhaps the matter she had been investigating for so long, and the Defenders and Peter's investigation into the Hand, were all related to the same thing. Thinking this, she arrived at the rooftop of an apartment building in Hell's Kitchen. After Peter landed, he realized how Felicia knew Donald's location: "You planted a tracker on him?"

"Yes, just like someone once put it on my boots."

As Felicia spoke, she confirmed the other person's location: "He's down there, on the fifth floor. As long as we..."

“There are six people in the room, four of whom are armed, one is tied to a chair, and the other is saying something.” After Peter finished speaking, he saw Felicia’s incomprehensible look and explained, “I call this Shadow Vision… it’s like the eagle eye in games. I’ve had it ever since I was bitten by a Shadow Spider.”

"...How many spider bites have you been?"

“It’s a long story, quite a bit.” Peter frowned as he pondered. “Two possibilities. First, the person inside is Nick Fury, but that’s unlikely. If it were Fury, he would have sent someone to invite us. The second possibility is that the person down there is Donald Pierce’s boss, who discovered that he had sided with Hydra.”

Felicia softly uttered the name: "Thadeus Ross".

Thaddeus Ross, also known as General Ross, is currently a senior staff officer at the Department of Defense, responsible for the U.S. Super Soldier program. The former Avengers were nominally under General Ross's command. He is better known as the former captain of the Hulk Hunting Team and the head of the Gamma Research Facility.

In a way, he is also the culprit who created the Hulk.

Felicia and Peter exchanged a glance and immediately had an idea. Soon, General Ross, who was smoking in the room, heard a knock on the apartment door and looked at Donald Pierce, who had a bruised and swollen face.

“I have no guests, General. This is certainly not one of my men, nor is it Hydra.”

"Who the hell could it be? Nick Fury's?"

General Ross gestured for a soldier to take a look, and the soldier's voice immediately distorted with excitement: "It's Spider-Man! Sir! Spider-Man is at the door!" "Calm down! Soldier! Remember your duty! So what if it's Spider-Man? That can't affect your mission!" General Ross frowned and ordered, "Go, open the door for Spider-Man."

"Oh, right, sir, Spider-Man also brought a woman in a suit, but I don't know which superhero she is."

"There are more superheroes in New York than there are LGBTQ+ crammed into a bunch of idiots. It would be strange if you knew them." Ross sneered, then waited for his guests to arrive. Soon he saw Spider-Man walk in with a woman. Obviously, he and Spider-Man had never had any connection, so this woman was the reason they came to his door.

"I won't ask why you've come looking for me, Spider-Man. And who is this gentleman...?"

“I am the black cat, the daughter of the civet cat.”

Upon hearing this self-introduction, Ross looked back in confusion. Donald, who was tied to the chair, looked up with great interest. Seeing this, Felicia had no choice but to explain further: "My father, the one you've tied up, is being threatened to go to Europe to steal Russia's super-soldier serum."

"Oh right, I remember now. The report on the Budapest incident mentioned that a CIA field agent stole Hydra's super-soldier serum while stealing Russian super-soldiers, which triggered the Budapest incident. So, you injected yourself with that super-soldier serum, right?"

Ross frowned as he spoke, feeling somewhat regretful. If that vial of serum had been brought back to the United States, it would have been national property. In that case, a super soldier belonging to the United States could have been trained, without needing to rely on the dark history of the Vietnam War to support the project.

It's such a pity. Howard Stark finally developed the super soldier serum for the United States, but he died in a car accident before he could even manufacture it. The later versions of the Stark serum were too ineffective. Otherwise, why would our great America have to put up with those damned Avengers?

"So, you guys are actually just like me, wanting to get the truth about Hydra out of this guy, right?"

As Ross spoke, he began to calculate his own plans, but Donald sighed weakly, "I've told you everything. I really don't know what Hydra is doing in Hell's Kitchen..."

The violent tremors made the entire building shake, and someone immediately shouted, "Earthquake?" But Peter was faster, opening the window and leaping out on a spiderweb. He then saw a huge Japanese castle tower (a fortress from Japan's Sengoku period) rise from the ground in Hell's Kitchen. Immediately afterward, a massive amount of energy spread out from the center of the castle tower, forming a huge black barrier that encompassed the entire Hell's Kitchen, including them.

The moonlight couldn't shine in, and all the electric lights were out of order. Now, the only light in the entire Hell's Kitchen was the ominous blue glow of the castle tower.

Peter sighed helplessly.

"What did Manhattan do to deserve this, being quarantined every few days?"
