Chapter 24 Like
"Take off the prisoner's shoes and socks."

"Remove all jewelry from his body and put it in a transparent ziplock bag."

"Record the prisoner's palm prints and fingerprints."

In the evidence technology room, Eric folded his hands, leaned against the wall and looked ahead.

Annie, the newcomer, is taking the suspect to record his palm prints and fingerprints, and next to her are two enthusiastic male police officers.

It can be said that the entire process was operated by these two enthusiastic male police officers, while Annie assisted on the side.

Looking at the enthusiasm of the two male police officers, Eric shook his head in his heart.

Good looks are really convenient no matter where you are. As long as you have a good appearance, you will definitely enjoy some invisible help.

There's no way around it, humans seem to be animals that value appearance.

"Now record your thumb." Annie said to the suspect.

Grann didn't move, but the two male police officers next to him grabbed his right hand and pressed it down forcefully.

The action is quite rough!

How could a captured suspect possibly cause trouble here?

Annie coughed and subconsciously glanced at Eric who was standing over there. Seeing him taking out his mobile phone and playing with it, she couldn't help but pursed her lips.

"Uh, Officer Annie, the next step should be the facial photo." One of the two male police officers whispered a reminder.

"Ah."

After taking the facial photo, there is also a full-body photo.

"Thank you."

Annie grabbed the handcuffed suspect and thanked the two male police officers who provided assistance.

"You're welcome. If you need help in the future, you can call us."

The two policemen looked at each other, then secretly glanced at Eric, not daring to do anything unnecessary.

"Rookie, go!"

Eric said calmly, opened the door and left the evidence technology room.

Annie quickly nodded to the two male police officers, grabbed the suspect and followed Eric.

Detention room.

Eric opened the door and looked at Annie.

Annie brought the suspect in, closed the door, and said to Eric:

"Next, lock him in the holding cell."

Eric looked at Annie who was suddenly full of confidence. He felt amused but kept a calm expression on his face.

"Well, what else?"

Annie took out the folder she had been holding in her left hand and said confidently, "Then have the duty commander sign the document. That's it."

Eric raised an eyebrow. "So what are you still doing here?"

Annie wasn't frightened and looked at Eric seriously: "So, sir, did I pass this time?"

Eric said, "What do you think?"

"Are you asking a rhetorical question?" Annie said with a smile on her face.

"Then I'll take it as a pass!"

As she spoke, she left her spot and headed towards the exit.

This girl. Eric watched her back, and finally glanced at Grann sitting in the detention room, and then followed Annie.

West Canyon Police Station Patrol Hall.

"Trainee Police Officer Annie, you did a great job."

Daves changed his grumpy expression and looked at Annie in front of him with a face as kind as possible, without any of the ferocious look he had in front of other police officers.

This made Eric, who was standing behind, twitch his lips.

Sure enough, society is not a simple system of rules and confrontations, but a complex network of human relationships. Therefore, the relationship between people is essentially an exchange of values.

In other words, the world of martial arts is not about fighting and killing, but about human relationships and worldly wisdom.

Annie smiled.

Daves handed the folder back to Annie and said kindly, "How do you feel? Are you adapting?" As he spoke, he glanced at Eric, who was standing behind him with a dazed look on his face, and his face darkened again.

"Or rather, has Officer Eric given you any trouble?"

Annie also glanced at Eric secretly and said seriously, "Sir, Officer Eric was very kind to me. He taught me a lot in just one morning."

Daves nodded with satisfaction. "Very good. Officer Eric's rich experience is indeed worth learning from. He is one of the aces of our West Canyon Police Department's patrol department."

Annie stepped forward and said, "Yes! Sir! I will study hard!"

"Yeah." Daves nodded and looked at Eric.

"Go."

Yet Eric remained detached.

With a dark face, he reminded: "Officer Eric!"

Eric suddenly came back to his senses and looked at Daves, who couldn't be seen even with a dark face, and Annie.

"Uh, it's over? Let's go, rookie."

After saying that, he left.

Annie could only nod to Daves, whose face had turned even darker, and trotted over with the folder in her arms to follow Eric.

"10-Adam (two-man patrol unit)-11, begin patrol."

Eric sat in the driver's seat, put down the walkie-talkie, started the engine, drove the police car out of the detention area, and resumed patrol.

"Sir! You don't like Commander Daves?"

Annie sat in the passenger seat, her right hand naturally grasping the safety armrest on the door, and asked Eric, who was controlling the steering wheel with one hand and resting his other hand on the car window.

Eric was a little surprised and looked at Annie: "Why do you ask that?"

Annie said, "Just curious! I feel like you two are just at loggerheads."

"Rookie, you think too much." Eric shook his head and laughed.

"I love Daves so much."

Annie raised her eyebrows.

"He's a very good boss. No matter what I do or what trouble I get into, Daves can cover it for me." Eric said seriously, looking at the front window.

"The reason I can still be a patrol officer and not be fired by the police department is all because of Daves. I am very grateful to him and respect him."

Annie seemed a little surprised and said, "I thought..."

"I just like to see Daves's face black." Eric laughed.

"Don't you think he's funny when his face darkens? Wow, I can't tell at all!"

As he spoke, Eric thought of something and laughed.

"Uh." Annie's expression froze. This guy's temper was really bad. She probably knew why her father, an old subordinate, would be like this every time he saw this guy.

It turns out that this guy was just trying to irritate people on purpose.

Annie wanted to say something, but she found that Eric's smile disappeared.

She subconsciously looked toward the front window.

"Rookie, do you see the car in front?" Eric said.

"Yeah." Annie nodded.

In her eyes, there was a Honda CR-V driving slowly in the driveway, but from her point of view, there was nothing wrong with the car.

The vehicle speed, including the moving position, complies with relevant regulations.

"so?"

"You're a rookie indeed. I think you need to study harder and develop a pair of eyes that are good at discovering things, rather than being blind."

Eric's words made Annie start to grind her teeth again. This guy was so infuriating.
